Action Wit Da Aposals 9:1-43
9 But Saul wuz still raging an wanted fo kill all da Lord’s followas, so he go to da main pries
2 an ask him fo lettas fo show to da synagogs* in Damascus. Dis wuz so dat he can arrest anybody dat stay part of Da Way* an bring um to Jerusalem. He would tie up both guys an wahines.
3 Wen Saul wuz traveling an coming close to Damascus, all of a sudden one light from da sky wen flash all aroun him,
4 an he wen fall to da groun an hea one voice say to him: “Saul, Saul, how come you making me suffa?”
5 He ask um: “Mista, who you?” He sed: “I Jesus, da one you making suffa.
6 But get up an go into da town, an one guy goin tell you wat you gotta do.”
7 Da guys dat wuz traveling wit him stood dea wit dea jaws dropped an dey neva know wat fo say. Dey could hea da soun of one voice but dey neva see anybody.
8 Den Saul get up from da groun, an even tho his eyes wuz open, he no could see notting. So da guys wen take him by da hand an bring um inside Damascus.
9 Fo three days he no could see, an he neva eat or drink anyting.
10 Had one followa in Damascus named An·a·niʹas, an da Lord sed to him in one vision: “An·a·niʹas!” He sed: “Yeah Lord.”
11 Da Lord sed to him: “Get up, an go to da street called Strait. Go Judas house an ask fo one guy named Saul, from Tarsus. Right now he stay praying,
12 an in one vision he seen one guy named An·a·niʹas come inside an put his hands on him so dat he can see again.”
13 But An·a·niʹas ansa: “Lord, plenny peopo wen tell me about dis guy, an about all da tings he did fo hurt yoa peopo in Jerusalem.
14 An he get powa from da main pries guys fo arrest* anybody dat believe in you.”*
15 But da Lord sed to him: “Go! Cuz I wen pick dis guy fo be like one tool I goin use fo tell about me to da peopo dass not Jews, an to kings too, an to da peopo of Israel.
16 I goin make um clear to him how much he goin have to suffa cuz of me.”
17 So An·a·niʹas went dea an he go inside da house. He put his hands on him an tell: “Saul, my braddah, da Lord Jesus, who you seen on da road dat you wuz traveling on, wen sen me so dat you can see again an get filled wit God’s powa.”
18 Right den an dea, stuff dat look like fish scales wen fall off his eyes, an he could see again. Den he got up an wuz baptized,
19 an wen eat some food an started fo get his energy back.
He stayed dea wit da followas in Damascus fo some days,
20 an he start fo talk about Jesus in da synagogs, telling dat dis guy iz God’s Boy.
21 But evrybody dat hea him wuz shock an sed: “Eh, dis not da guy dat wen make Jesus followas in Jerusalem suffa? He come hea cuz he like arrest dem an take um* to da main pries guys.”
22 But Saul wuz coming moa powaful in his ministry. An all da Jews in Damascus wen come shame an no could argue wit him, cuz he wuz able fo break um down an prove dat Jesus iz da Christ.
23 Some time layta, da Jews wen make one plan fo kill him.
24 But Saul wen find out dea plan. Dese guys wuz watching da gates day an night so dat dey could catch um an kill um.
25 So night time, Saul’s followas help him by putting him in one basket an lowering him down thru one window in da wall of da town.
26 Wen he get to Jerusalem, he try fo meet up wit Jesus followas. But dey wuz all sked of him, cuz dey neva believe he wen come one followa.
27 So Barʹna·bas come help him an bring him to da aposals. He tell dem evryting about how Saul seen da Lord on da road, an dat da Lord wen talk to him. An he tell how Saul wen jus geev um in Damascus, telling all about Jesus.
28 So he stayed wit dem an wuz free fo go wea eva he like* in Jerusalem. An he no hold back fo talk about Jesus.
29 He wuz talking an debating wit da Jews dat speak Greek, but dese guys kept trying fo kill him.
30 Wen da braddahs found out about dis, dey go bring him down to Caes·a·reʹa an ship um off to Tarsus.
31 Den all ova Ju·deʹa, Galʹi·lee, an Sa·marʹi·a da hui of believas had go thru one time wea nobody had bodda dem, an dea faith got moa strong. Da numba of followas wen start fo blow up cuz dey wuz working togedda wit da help from God’s powa an living in one way dat show dey had plenny respeck fo Jehovah.*
32 Wen Peter wuz visiting dat area, he go down to Lydʹda fo see God’s peopo dat live ova dea.
33 Ova dea he come across one guy named Ae·neʹas. Dis guy been lying flat on his bed fo eight years cuz he wuz paralyzed.
34 Peter sed to him: “Ae·neʹas, Jesus Christ stay healing you. Get up an make yoa bed.” An right away he got up.
35 Wen all da guys living in Lydʹda an da Plain of Sharʹon see him, dey start fo believe in da Lord.
36 Had one followa in Jopʹpa named Tabʹi·tha (wen you translate um dat mean, “Dorʹcas”).* She did plenny good tings an wen give plenny gifs to guys dat need um.*
37 But while Peter wuz in Lydʹda, Dorcas got sick an died. So dey wen wash* her an lay her in one room upstairs.
38 Cuz Lydʹda wuz nea Jopʹpa, da followas hea dat Peter wuz ova dea, so dey sen two guys fo beg him: “Please hurry up an come by us.”
39 Afta dat, Peter get up an go wit dem. Wen he get dea, dey bring him to da room upstairs. An all da widows go up to him, crying an showing him all da clothes an robes Dorʹcas had make while she wuz alive.
40 Peter make evrybody go outside an he go down on his knees an pray. Den he turn to da body an tell: “Tabʹi·tha, get up!” She open her eyes, an wen she see Peter she sit up.
41 He put out his hand an lif her up. Den he call da followas an da widows fo show dem dat she stay alive.
42 Peopo all ova Jopʹpa heard about dis, an plenny wen come believas in da Lord.
43 Peter stayed in Jopʹpa fo some time wit Simon, one guy dat work az one tanner.*
