13 In Antioch had prophets an teachas in da local hui: Barʹna·bas, Symʹe·on who dey call Niʹger, Lucius from Cy·reʹne, Manʹa·en who wen go skool wit King Herod, an Saul.
2 Wen dey wuz worshipping Jehovah* an fasting, God wen use his powa fo tell dem: “Pick Barʹna·bas an Saul fo do da work I like dem do.”
3 Den afta dey fast, dey pray an put dea hands on dem an sen dem away.
4 So God use his powa fo sen dese guys out. Dey wen go down to Se·leuʹcia, an from dea dey get on one boat an go Cyʹprus.
5 Wen dey get to Salʹa·mis, dey start fo tell God’s message in da synagogs.* An John wuz dea helpa.
6 Dey wen leave Salʹa·mis an go across da island to Paʹphos. Ova dea dey wen meet one Jew guy named Bar-Jeʹsus, who wuz one kahuna an fake prophet.
7 He wuz wit da govna of Cyʹprus, one smart guy named Sergius Paulus. He ask Barʹna·bas an Saul fo come to him cuz he really wanted fo hea God’s message.

13 Paul an da guys dat wuz wit him get on one boat an leave Paʹphos an dey get to Perga in Pam·phylʹi·a. But John wen leave dem an go back Jerusalem.
14 Den from Perga, dey go Antioch in Pi·sidʹi·a. On da Sabbath* dey go inside da synagog an sit down.
15 Afta dey pau read da Law an da Prophets,* da leadas of da synagog tell Paul an Barʹna·bas: “Braddahs, if you get anyting good fo tell da peopo, say um.”
16 So Paul stan up an make one motion wit his hand. Den he sed:
“Israelites an you odda guys dat respeck God plenny, lissen up.
17 Da God of oua Israel peopo wen pick oua ancestas. An wen dey wuz living in Egypt az outsidas, he wen help dem an use his awesome powa fo bring dem outa dat place.
18 An fo about 40 years, he put up wit how dey ack in da boonies.

20 All dat wen happen in about 450 years.
“Afta dat he give dem judges all da way til Samuel da prophet.
21 But afta dat dey wanted one king. So God wen give dem Saul, da son of Kish, one guy from da Benjamin tribe. He rule fo 40 years.
22 Afta God hemo Saul from bein king, he pick David fo be king. Dis da one he wen tell about wen he sed: ‘I wen find David, Jesse’s boy. He one guy dat make my heart happy. He goin do all da tings I like.’
23 Jus like he wen promise, thru dis guy’s bloodline, God wen bring one savior to Israel, an dass Jesus.
24 Befoa he wen come, John tell all da Israel peopo fo get baptize fo show dey sorry.
25 Wen John’s work wuz almos pau, he would tell: ‘Who you tink me? I not da guy you waiting fo. He coming afta me an I not even good enuff fo untie da string on his sandals.’
26 Braddahs, you guys dat come from Abraham’s family, an you oddas dat get plenny respeck fo God, dis message of getting saved wen get sent to us.
27 Da guys dat live Jerusalem an dea rulas neva recognize dis savior. But wen dey had judge him, dey wen make wat da Prophets sed come tru. Dass da stuff read out loud evry sabbath.
28 Even tho dey neva find one reason fo put him to death, dey tell Pilate fo have him killed.
29 An wen dey make evryting written about him come tru, dey take him down off da pos* an put him in one tomb.*
30 But God wen bring him back to life,
31 an fo plenny days he wen show himself to da guys dat go up Jerusalem wit him from Galʹi·lee. An dese da guys dat tell peopo about him now.
32 “Now we telling you da good news about da promise God wen make to oua ancestas.
33 God wen make um all come tru fo us, dea kids, by bringing Jesus back to life, jus like wat say in da secon song: ‘You my boy. Today I wen come yoa faddah.’
34 God wen bring him back to life an he neva again goin be in one body dat can rot an die. Den God wen make clear dat dis iz tru wen he sed: ‘I goin be faithful an show you da love I wen promise to David.’
35 An anodda song tell: ‘You not goin let yoa loyal one rot’.
36 David wen do wat God like wen he wuz alive, but he wen mahke an wuz buried wit his ancestas an wen come dus.
37 But dat neva happen to da one God wen bring back to life.
38 “You know, braddahs, I goin tell you guys right now dat cuz of dis guy, yoa sins can get let go.
39 Da Law from Moses no could eva make um so you not guilty. But cuz dis guy wen mahke, evrybody dat believe in him not goin be guilty.
40 So watch out dat wat da Prophets wen tell no happen to you:
41 ‘You guys dat look down on da work I doin, you goin be shock an goin die. Cuz dis one work you neva goin believe I wen do, even if somebody wen tell you evryting about um.’”
42 Wen Paul an Barʹna·bas wuz goin outa da synagog, da peopo beg dem fo talk about dis stuff again on da nex Sabbath.
43 So afta da meeting in da synagog wuz pau, plenny of da Jews an new believas* who worship God wen follow Paul an Barʹna·bas. An dey tell dem fo keep doin tings so dat God can keep showing dem his unreal love.*
44 On da nex Sabbath almos da whole town wen come fo hea Jehovah’s message.
45 Wen da Jews see da peopo, dey come all jealous an start fo argue agains wat Paul wuz saying. An dat wen show dey neva have respeck fo God.
46 Den Paul an Barʹna·bas no sked tell dem: “God’s message had fo be told to you firs. But cuz you wen rejeck um an you make um so you no deserve fo live foeva, dass why we goin share da message wit odda guys.*
47 Jehovah wen tell us dis: ‘I wen pick you fo be one light to da guys dass not Jews, so dat you can tell peopo all ova da earth how dey can get saved.’”
48 Wen all da guys dass not Jews hea dis, dey come real happy an start fo talk about how awesome Jehovah’s message stay. An all da guys dat get da right heart fo live foeva wen come believas.
49 An so Jehovah’s message wen spread all ova da whole country.
50 But da Jews wen hui up some importan wahines who wuz supa religious, an importan guys in da town, an dey wen go agains Paul an Barʹna·bas an throw dem outside da town.
51 So dey shake da dus off dea feet* fo warn dem, an go I·coʹni·um.
52 An da new believas keep getting powa from God an dey come moa an moa happy.
