Action Wit Da Aposals 25:1-27
25 Den afta Festus get to Judea* an take charge az govna, he go up Jerusalem three days layta from Caes·a·reʹa.
2 Den da main pries guys an some importan Jews go to him wit dea charges agains Paul. So dey start fo beg Festus
3 fo do dem one favor an sen Paul to Jerusalem. But dey wuz planning fo jump Paul an kill um on da way dea.
4 But Festus tell dem dat Paul goin stay in Caes·a·reʹa an dat he goin back pretty soon.
5 He sed: “Tell yoa leadas fo come down wit me an accuse him dea if he really wen do someting wrong.”
6 He spen maybe eight or ten days dea, den he go down to Caes·a·reʹa. Da nex day, he sit down on da chair fo judge an tell guys fo bring Paul in.
7 Wen Paul come in, da Jews dat wen come down from Jerusalem stan aroun him an tell all kine heavy charges agains him, but dey no could prove um.
8 But Paul defend himself an say: “I neva do notting wrong agains da Law of da Jews or agains da tempo or agains Caesar.”
9 But cuz Festus wanted fo get on da Jews good side, he tell Paul: “You like go up Jerusalem an get judge by me ova dea about all dis?”
10 But Paul sed: “I stay standing in front wea Caesar sit fo judge, like how should be. I neva do notting wrong to da Jews, an I know you starting fo see dat too.
11 If I really one bad guy an deserve fo die, den I not goin try get out of it. But if no moa notting fo back up wat dese guys telling about me, den nobody get da right fo turn me ova to dem az one favor. I like Caesar judge me!”
12 Afta Festus talk to his advisors he sed: “You like Caesar judge you, den you goin go to Caesar.”
13 Some days layta, King A·gripʹpa an Bernice get to Caes·a·reʹa fo visit Festus.*
14 Cuz dey wuz goin be dea fo some time, Festus tell da king about Paul’s case. He sed:
“Get one guy dat Felix wen leave in prison.
15 Wen I wuz in Jerusalem da main pries guys an da eldas fo da Jews wen bring charges agains him, an dey ask me fo judge him az guilty.
16 But I told dem dass not how Romans do um, fo jus hand one guy ova az one favor. He gotta have one chance fo go in front his accusers fo tell his side of da story an defend himself.
17 So wen da accusers got hea, I neva wait, but right away da nex day I wen sit on da chair fo judge an sed fo bring da guy in.
18 Wen da accusers take da stand, da tings dey sed agains Paul wuzn’t wat I thought dey would say.
19 Radda it wuz jus dese beefs about dea religion* an about one guy named Jesus, who wuz dead but Paul kept telling wuz alive.
20 I neva know how fo hando dis case, so I asked Paul if he like go Jerusalem fo get judged ova dea about dis stuff.
21 But wen Paul ask fo stay hea an wait fo Caesar* decide, I tell guys fo guard him til I sen him to Caesar.”
22 Den A·gripʹpa tell Festus: “I like hea dis guy too.” He sed: “Tomorrow you goin hea him.”
23 So da nex day A·gripʹpa an Bernice wen show up all high makamaka kine an come inside da court wit da army commandas an importan men from da town. Wen Festus gave da orda, dey bring Paul in.
24 An Festus sed: “King A·gripʹpa an evrybody hea, try look dis guy. All da Jews in Jerusalem an ova hea wen come to me fo bring charges agains him, yelling dat he deserve fo mahke.
25 But I figga he neva do notting fo deserve fo mahke. So wen dis guy ask fo Caesar judge him, I wen decide fo sen um.
26 But I no moa notting concrete fo write about him to my Lord. So I wen bring him in front all you guys, speshly you, King A·gripʹpa, so dat afta you guys question him, I might have someting fo write.
27 Cuz no make sense fo sen one prisona witout telling wat he charged wit.”
