Action Wit Da Aposals 16:1-40
16 So Paul get to Derʹbe an den he go Lysʹtra. An one followa named Timothy wuz dea, his maddah wuz Jewish an one followa of Jesus, but his faddah wuz Greek.
2 An all da braddahs in Lysʹtra an I·coʹni·um wen talk good about him.
3 Paul wanted fo take Timothy wit him, so he took um an had ask him fo get circumcised cuz da Jews in dose places wen know his faddah wuz Greek.
4 Wen dey go thru da towns, dey would let da huis know wat da aposals an eldas in Jerusalem wen decide so dat dey knew wat fo do.
5 Cuz of dat, dea faith keep coming moa strong an da numba of believas wuz growing moa an moa evryday.
6 An dey go thru Phrygʹi·a an Ga·laʹti·a cuz God’s powa neva let um tell da message in da districk of Asia.
7 Wen dey come down to Mysʹi·a, dey wen try go Bi·thynʹi·a. But Jesus use God’s powa fo no let dem go dea.
8 So dey go thru Mysʹi·a an go down to Troʹas.
9 An in da night, Paul had one vision. In um, one guy from Mac·e·doʹni·a wuz standing in front him an begging him: “Come ova to Mac·e·doʹni·a an help us.”
10 Right afta he see da vision, we try go Mac·e·doʹni·a cuz we figga God telling us fo go dea fo tell da good news to dem.
11 So we get on one boat in Troʹas an go strait to Samʹo·thrace. Da nex day we go Ne·apʹo·lis,
12 an from dea, we wen go Phi·lipʹpi, one Roman town, da main town fo da Mac·e·doʹni·a districk. We stay dea litto while.
13 On da Sabbath* we wen go outside da town by da riva wea we hea peopo go fo pray. We sit down an start talking to da wahines dat wuz dea.
14 An had one wahine named Lydʹi·a. She one worshipa of God from Thy·a·tiʹra, an she sell purple fabric an clothes. She wuz lissening to us, an Jehovah* open up her heart fo pay attention to da tings Paul wuz saying.
15 Wen her an evrybody in her house get baptize, she keep telling us: “If you see me az somebody dass faithful to Jehovah, come stay my house.” An she wen make us come.
16 One day wen we wuz goin to da place fo pray, dis worka girl wit one spirit, one demon dat make her tell da future, come by us. Her mastas make plenny money from her cuz she one fortune tella.
17 Dis girl wen keep following Paul an us an she keep yelling: “Dese guys work fo da Mos High God an dey telling you how you can get saved.”
18 She keep doin dis fo plenny days. Den Paul had it awready, an he turn an say to da spirit: “By da powa Jesus Christ give me,* I orda you fo come outa her.” Right den an dea, it wen come out.
19 Wen her mastas see dey no could make money off her anymoa, dey grab Paul an Silas an drag um to da marketplace to da guys in charge of da town.
20 Wen dey take um to dose govament guys, dey sed: “Dese guys stay making plenny trouble in oua town. Dey Jews,
21 an dey teaching oua peopo fo do tings dat us Romans no do, cuz dass agains da law.”
22 An choke peopo wen hui up fo go agains dem, an da govament guys give da orda fo rip dea clothes off an wack um wit sticks.
23 Afta dey had beat um up plenny, dey throw dem in jail an tell da guard fo watch dem real good.
24 Cuz dey tell um dat, he throw dem way inside da jail an lock dea feet in wood blocks.
25 But aroun da middo of da night, Paul an Silas wuz praying an singing songs fo praise God, an evrybody in da jail wuz lissening to dem.
26 Den had one big earthquake. Wuz so strong dat da whole jail wen shake. An all da doors wen open, an evrybody’s chains wen come loose.
27 Wen da guard woke up an seen all da cell doors stay open, he tink dat all da prisonas had run away. So he take out his sword an wuz about fo kill himself.
28 But Paul yell to him: “Ho brah no kill yoaself! All us stay hea!”
29 So he ask fo lamps an run inside. Sked an shaking, he fall down in front Paul an Silas.
30 He bring dem outside an sed: “Wat I gotta do fo get saved?”
31 Dey sed: “Believe in da Lord Jesus, an you an all da guys in yoa house goin get saved.”
32 Den dey tell Jehovah’s message to him an all da guys in his house.
33 An da guard wen take dem in da middo of da night an clean dea cuts. Den right away, him an evrybody wit him wen get baptize.
34 He bring Paul guys inside an put food on da table fo dem eat. An him an da guys in his house wuz supa happy cuz dey wen come believas.
35 Wen come day time, da govament guys sen officers fo tell: “Let dose guys go.”
36 Da guard tell dis to Paul: “Da govament guys wen sen officers fo let you two go. So hele on, you stay free.”
37 But Paul sed to dem: “We neva have one trial an dey wen buss us up in front evrybody an throw us in jail, even tho we Romans. An now dey tink dey goin sneak us outa hea? No ways! Let dem come demselfs an bring us out.”
38 So da officers wen tell da govament guys wat Paul sed. Dey wen come sked wen dey hea dese guys wuz Romans.
39 So dey come an keep telling dem dey sorry. An afta dey bring Paul dem out, dey ask dem fo leave da town.
40 But dey leave da jail an go Lydʹi·a’s house. Wen Paul guys see da braddahs, dey build dem up an den hele.
