Action Wit Da Aposals 11:1-30
11 Da aposals an da braddahs who wuz in Ju·deʹa wen hea dat peopo from odda places had believe God’s message.
2 So wen Peter go up to Jerusalem, da guys dat wanted peopo from odda nations fo get circumcised start fo argue wit him.
3 Dey tell: “You wen go in one house of guys dass not circumcised an eat wit dem.”
4 Afta Peter hea dis, he go tell dem evryting dat wen happen. He say:
5 “I wuz in Jopʹpa praying, an I seen one vision. I wen see someting* coming down from da sky like one big linen sheet dat wuz bein let down by da four cornas, an wen come right up to me.
6 Wen I look inside um I wen see land animals wit four feet, wild animals, snakes an lizards,* an birds dat fly.
7 An I wen hea one voice tell me: ‘Get up Peter, kill one of dose animals an eat um!’
8 But I sed: ‘No ways Lord, I neva eva put inside my mout anyting da Law sed I not suppose to.’*
9 Den da voice talk again an sed: ‘Wat God say iz good, stop saying iz no good.’
10 Dis happen one moa time, den evryting wen go back into da sky.
11 At da same time, three guys from Caes·a·reʹa dat wuz sent fo find me get to da house we wuz staying.
12 Den God use his powa fo tell me fo go wit dem, an no tink twice about um. Dese six braddahs went wit me too, an we wen go inside da guy’s house.
13 “Da guy wen tell us how he saw one angel standing in his house dat wen say: ‘Sen guys to Jopʹpa fo look fo one guy named Simon, who stay called Peter, an tell him fo come.
14 An he goin tell you wat you an yoa family gotta do fo get saved.’
15 But wen I wuz still talking, dey wen get God’s powa jus like wen happen to us at da start.
16 Den I rememba wat da Lord use to say: ‘John wen baptize wit watta, but you goin be baptize wit powa from God.’
17 So if God wen give dem his powa jus like he wen give us, da guys dat had believe in da Lord Jesus Christ, who me fo try stop God from doin wat he like?”*
18 Wen da braddahs hea all dis, dey stop arguing* an praise God. Dey say: “Iz clear fo see dat God wen give guys from odda places da chance fo come sorry an get life.”
19 Cuz of da trouble dat wen start afta Stephen mahke, guys wen scatta az far az Phoe·niʹcia, Cyʹprus, an Antioch. But dey ony tell God’s message to da Jews.
20 But some of da guys from Cyʹprus an Cy·reʹne come to Antioch an start fo talk to da peopo dat speak Greek. Dey tell dem da good news about da Lord Jesus.
21 Jehovah* wuz backing dem up an choke peopo wen come believas an start fo follow da Lord.
22 Da news about dem reach da braddahs in da hui in Jerusalem, so dey sen Barʹna·bas to Antioch.
23 Wen he get dea, he see how good God take kea dem.* He wuz real happy an start fo encourage dem fo keep goin all out fo da Lord an no give up.
24 Barʹna·bas wen do dis cuz he wuz one good guy an full of faith an God’s powa. An plenny moa peopo wen come followas.
25 So he go Tarsus fo look all ova fo Saul.
26 Afta he find him, he bring um to Antioch. An fo one whole year dey come togedda wit da braddahs an sistahs in da local hui an dey teach plenny peopo. Wuz hea in Antioch dat God wen direck da followas fo be called Christians. Dis wuz da firs time dey wuz called dat.
27 Dat time, prophets wen come down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 One of dem wuz named Agʹa·bus, an wit da help of God’s powa he sed dat all ova da earth no wuz goin have nuff food. An dass wat wen happen wen Claudius wuz rula.
29 So da followas figga dat dey goin sen stuff fo help da braddahs in Ju·deʹa. Each of dem wen give az much az dey could.
30 So dass wat dey did, an dey give um to Barʹna·bas an Saul fo bring to da eldas.
