  • Paul tell Agrippa his side of da story (1-11)

  • Paul tell how he wen come one believa (12-23)

  • Wat Festus an Agrippa tink about all dis (24-32)

26  A·gripʹpa tell Paul: “I give you permission fo defend yoaself.” So Paul stretch out his hand an start fo tell his side of da story: 2  “King A·gripʹpa, wit all da tings da Jews accuse me of, lucky ting I get fo defend myself in front you. 3  Speshly cuz you know all about da customs of da Jews an da stuff dey argue about. So please, hang in dea fo hea wat I gotta tell. 4  “All da Jews dat know me from befoa, dey know how I wuz from small kid time wen I wuz wit my peopo an in Jerusalem. 5  If dey wuz willing fo talk, dey could tell you dat I lived az one Pharisee,* an da Pharisees iz supa strict wen come to how dey worship. 6  But now I stay on trial cuz I get da hope dat God goin make his promise to oua ancestas come tru. 7  Dis da same promise oua 12 tribes stay hoping fo see come tru by working hahd fo God day an night. King, dis da hope dat da Jews stay accusing me of. 8  “How come you guys no believe* God can bring peopo back to life? 9  I wuz shua dat I should do evryting I could fo fight agains Jesus da Naz·a·reneʹ. 10  An dass exackly wat I wen do in Jerusalem. I had lock up plenny of da believas* in da jails cuz da main pries guys gave me da powa fo do dat. An wen dey wuz judged fo be killed, I would vote fo dat. 11  Plenny times I would harass dem in all da synagogs* fo try get dem fo give up dea religion. An cuz dey make me so mad, I even wen go to da towns far away fo make dem suffa. 12  “One time I wuz on my way to Damascus cuz da main pries guys wen sen me fo do da same ting ova dea. 13  An King, in da middo of da day wen I wuz on da road, I wen see one light brighta den da sun. Had flash from da sky all aroun me an da guys wit me. 14  All us wen fall to da groun, den I heard one voice say to me in Hebrew: ‘Saul, Saul, how come you making me suffa? You ony hurting yoaself by fighting agains me.’* 15  But I sed: ‘Mista, who you?’ An da Lord sed: ‘I Jesus, da one you making suffa. 16  But get up on yoa feet. Dis iz why I wen show up, fo choose you az one worka an fo tell oddas about da tings you wen see an da tings I goin make you see about me. 17  I goin keep you safe from dis peopo an from da nations I goin sen you to 18  fo open dea eyes, an take dem from da dark to da light, an from unda da powa of Satan to God, so dat cuz of dea faith in me, He can fogive dea sins an give dem one blessing jus like da holy ones.’ 19  “So King A·gripʹpa, I did wat Jesus told me fo do in dat vision. 20  I wen bring da message firs to da guys in Damascus, den to dose in Jerusalem, an to all da guys in da country of Ju·deʹa, an to da peopo dass not Jews. I told dem dat dey gotta come sorry an turn to God, an do tings dat show dey fo real kine sorry. 21  Dass why da Jews wen grab me in da tempo an try kill me. 22  But wit God’s help, I keep telling da message to evrybody, wedda dey one regula guy or somebody wit status. Wen I talk to dem, I ony stick to wat da Prophets* an Moses sed wuz goin happen, 23  dat da Christ wuz goin suffa, an cuz he wuz goin be da firs fo come back to life, he wuz goin tell da Jews an all kine odda peopo about da light.” 24  While Paul wuz still defending himself, Festus yell out: “Brah Paul, you losing yoa mind! All da stuff you wen learn stay making you nutz!” 25  But Paul sed: “I not losing my mind, O Great Festus, but wat I saying iz tru an make sense. 26  Fo shua da king know about all dese tings, so I can talk strait wit him. Garanz he know about all dis stuff cuz no wuz done in secret. 27  King A·gripʹpa, you believe da Prophets? I know you believe um.” 28  But A·gripʹpa tell Paul: “You talk so good dat in dis short time, you could even make me come one Christian.” 29  Den Paul sed: “Wedda take litto bit time or long time, I pray* to God dat not ony you, but evrybody dass lissening to me today would come one Christian jus like me, except witout dese chains.” 30  Afta dat da king get up, den da govna, Bernice, an da guys sitting wit dem get up too. 31  Wen dey wuz leaving, dey start fo tell each odda: “Dis guy neva do notting fo deserve fo go prison or even mahke.” 32  Den A·gripʹpa tell Festus: “Dis guy coulda been set free if he neva ask fo Caesar judge him.”
