Action Wit Da Aposals 8:1-40
8 Saul wen tink iz good dey murda Stephen.
From dat day on, da believas in Jerusalem wen suffa plenny. Evrybody wen scatta all ova Ju·deʹa an Sa·marʹi·a, except fo da aposals.
2 But guys dat respeck God plenny take Stephen away fo bury him, an dey cry plenny fo him.
3 But Saul start fo go afta da hui of believas fo take um out. He would break into one house afta anodda, dragging out guys an wahines an he turn dem ova fo go prison.
4 But all da guys dat wen scatta go all ova da land telling da good news of God’s message.
5 Philip go down to da town* of Sa·marʹi·a an start fo teach dem about da Christ.
6 All da peopo wuz paying attention to Philip az dey wuz lissening to him an watching da miracles he wuz doin.
7 Plenny guys had demons inside dem, an da demons would yell real loud an come out. On top of dat, plenny guys dat wuz paralyze an cripple got healed.
8 So evrybody in da town wuz supa happy.
9 Had one guy in da town named Simon, who been practicing magic an blowing all da peopo’s minds in Sa·marʹi·a, telling dem he somebody spesho.
10 Evrybody, from regula guys to da rulas, would pay attention to him an say: “Da great powa from God stay in dis guy.”
11 So dey would pay attention to him, cuz fo long time dey wen trip out cuz of his magic.
12 But Philip wuz telling da good news about God’s Govament an about Jesus Christ an peopo wen believe him an get baptized, both guys an wahines.
13 Even Simon come one believa, an afta he got baptized, he follow Philip an wuz blown away wen he see da miracles an unreal tings Philip wuz doin.
14 Wen da aposals in Jerusalem hea dat peopo in Sa·marʹi·a wen come believas, dey sen Peter an John to dem.
15 So dey go down dea an pray fo dem so dat dey could get God’s powa.
16 Dey got baptized fo show dey respeck Jesus,* but dey neva get da powa yet.
17 So dey put dea hands on dem, an dey start fo get God’s powa.
18 Wen Simon see dat peopo could get God’s powa wen da aposals put dea hands on dem, he go offa dem money.
19 He tell: “I like be able fo do dis too so dat if I put my hands on somebody, dey can get God’s powa.”
20 But Peter tell um: “Let you an yoa money get destroyed togedda, cuz you wen tink you can buy dis free gif from God.
21 You not goin have notting fo do wit dis work, cuz God can see yoa heart stay crooked.
22 So come sorry an change yoa bad tinking, an beg Jehovah* fo let you go cuz of da crooked ways of yoa heart.
23 You know you, you jus like poison* cuz you jealous an you always like do wass bad.”
24 Den Simon sed to dem: “Pray to Jehovah fo me an beg him fo no let da tings you sed happen to me.”
25 Afta dey tell evryting about Jehovah’s message ova dea, dey start fo head back to Jerusalem, an dey go tell da good news in plenny Sa·marʹi·tan villages on da way.
26 But Jehovah’s angel talk to Philip an sed: “Get up an go south to da road dat go down from Jerusalem to Gazʹa.” (Dis one desert road.)
27 So he get up an go, an try look! Had one E·thi·oʹpi·an eunuch* dat wuz one helpa to Can·daʹce, da queen of da E·thi·oʹpi·ans. She put him in charge of all her money. He jus wen go Jerusalem fo worship,
28 an on his way back, he wuz sitting in his chariot, reading da words of Isaiah da prophet out loud.
29 So God use his powa fo tell Philip: “Go an catch up to dat chariot.”
30 Philip run nex to um an hea him reading da words of Isaiah da prophet, an he sed: “You undastan wat you reading o wat?”
31 He tell: “How I goin eva undastan dis unless somebody make um clear fo me?” So he tell Philip fo get on da chariot an sit down wit him.
32 Dis da part he wuz reading in da Scripchas: “He like one sheep dat dey bring to da slaughta. An like one lamb dass quiet wen stay getting sheared, he neva open his mout.
33 Dat time dey make him come shame, dey neva treat him fair. Cuz he wuz cut off from da earth, who goin tell da details of wea he came from?”*
34 Den da eunuch tell Philip: “Please, try tell me who da prophet talking about? About himself or some odda guy?”
35 Den Philip talk, an starting wit dis scripcha, he tell him da good news about Jesus.
36 Az dey go moa down da road, dey come to one place dat had watta, an da eunuch sed: “Try look! Get watta ova hea. Wat stay stopping me from getting baptized?”

38 So he tell da driva fo stop da chariot right dea, an both Philip an da eunuch go down into da watta, an he baptize him.
39 Wen dey come up outa da watta, Jehovah use his powa fo make Philip go anodda place right away. Da eunuch neva see him anymoa, but he go away all happy.
40 But Philip end up in Ashʹdod, an he keep on telling da good news to all da towns til he get to Caes·a·reʹa.
