Action Wit Da Aposals 23:1-35
23 Paul look strait at evrybody in da High Court* an tell: “Braddahs, God know I neva do notting wrong all dis time, my conscience iz clear in front him.”
2 Wen da main pries An·a·niʹas hea dis, he tell da guys standing by Paul fo punch um in da mout.
3 Den Paul tell him: “God goin give you cracks cuz you jus like one dirty wall dat dey paint white.* You goin sit dea an judge me by da Law, but same time break da Law by telling somebody fo punch me?”
4 Da guys standing by him sed: “You goin disrespeck da main pries of God lidis?”
5 An Paul sed: “Braddahs, I neva know he wuz da main pries. Cuz da Scripchas tell, ‘You no can talk bad about one rula fo yoa peopo.’”
6 Paul know dat half of dem wuz Sadducees* an da odda half wuz Pharisees,* so he yell in da High Court: “Braddahs, I one Pharisee, an I come from one family of Pharisees. I stay bein judged cuz I believe in da resurrection of da dead.”
7 Cuz he sed dis, da Pharisees an da Sadducees started fo beef wit each odda an dey wen split up.
8 Dass cuz da Sadducees say dat no moa such ting az one resurrection, angels, or spirit creatures,* but da Pharisees believe* all dat.
9 So plenny guys started fo scream at each odda, an some of da scribes* dat wuz Pharisees wen get up an start fo argue an tell: “We no see notting wrong wit dis guy, but maybe one spirit creature or one angel wen talk to him—.”
10 Wen da beefing wuz starting fo get outa control, da army commanda wuz sked dey wuz goin rip Paul to shreds. So he tell da soldiers fo grab um an get um outa dea an bring um to da place wea da soldiers live.
11 But da nex night da Lord stan by him an tell: “Be strong! Jus like you wen tell all about me in Jerusalem, you goin tell about me in Rome too.”
12 Wen came daytime, da Jews make one plan an promise dat if dey no follow thru wit um, dey goin be cursed. Dey sed dey not goin eat or drink notting til dey kill Paul.
13 Had moa den 40 guys dat wen swear to dis plan.
14 Dey wen go to da main pries guys an eldas an sed: “We wen make one promise not fo eat anyting til we kill Paul.
15 So you guys gotta get togedda wit da High Court an tell da army commanda dat he should bring him down to you, az if you like check out his case moa betta. But befoa he get close, we goin be dea ready fo kill um.”
16 But da son of Paul’s sistah heard about dea plan fo jump um. So he go inside wea da soldiers live an tell Paul about um.
17 Den Paul call one of da army officers an sed: “Take dis young guy to da army commanda cuz he get someting fo tell him.”
18 So he bring him to da army commanda an sed: “Dat prisona Paul ask me fo bring dis young guy to you cuz he get someting fo tell you.”
19 Da army commanda grab his hand an pull um on da side an ask: “Wat you get fo tell me?”
20 He sed: “Da Jews wen agree fo ask you fo bring Paul down to da High Court tomorrow fo make like dey goin check out his case moa betta.
21 But no let dem presha you, cuz moa den 40 of dea guys stay waiting fo jump Paul. An dey had swear fo no eat or drink notting til dey kill him. Dey stay ready an waiting fo you give da thumbs up.”
22 So da army commanda let da young guy go, an orda him: “No tell anybody dat you wen talk to me about dis.”
23 Den he call two of da army officers an sed: “By 9 o’clock* tonight, make ready 200 soldiers fo march all da way to Caes·a·reʹa, an go get 70 guys on horses an 200 guys wit spears.
24 Get one horse fo Paul ride too so dat he can make um safe to Felix da govna.”
25 An he wrote one letta dat sed dis:
26 “Dis Claudius Lysʹi·as an I writing to you, Great Govna Felix: Aloha!
27 Da Jews wen grab dis guy an wuz about fo kill him, but real fas I wen come wit my soldiers an save him cuz I found out he wuz one Roman.
28 I wanted fo find out wat dey wuz accusing him fo, so I wen bring him down to dea High Court.
29 But I find out he neva do notting wrong. Dey accuse him of tings dat had fo do wit dea Law, but I neva find any reason he gotta die or go jail.
30 But cuz I wen find out about one plan fo kill him, I sending him to you right away an I told da guys dat accuse him fo bring dis case in front you.”
31 So da soldiers take Paul jus like dey wuz told fo do, an night time dey go An·tipʹa·tris.
32 Da nex day da soldiers wit horses go wit Paul da res of da way, but da odda soldiers wen go back to wea dey live.
33 Da guys on horses got to Caes·a·reʹa an give da letta to da govna an wen hand ova Paul to him.
34 So he read da letta an ask Paul wat area he from, an he find out he from Ci·liʹcia.
35 He sed: “I goin lissen to yoa case wen da guys dat accuse you get hea.” An he told guys fo put Paul in Herod’s palace an guard um.
