9 Den Jesus call his 12 guys togedda an wen give dem powa* ova all da demons an make dem able fo heal da sick.
2 He sen um out fo tell about God’s Govament an fo heal peopo.
3 An he sed to dem: “No carry notting fo da trip, not one walking stick, one bag fo food, bread, money,* or extra clothes.
4 But weneva you go inside one house, stay dea wit dem til you leave from dea.
5 An wea eva peopo no like take you in, wen you leave dat town, dus off yoa feet* az one warning fo dem.”
6 Den dey head out an go to da villages, telling da good news an healing peopo evrywea.
7 King Herod* wen hea about evryting dat wuz happening an wuz real confused cuz some peopo wuz saying dat John stay back from da dead,
8 but oddas wuz saying dass E·liʹjah. An odda guys wuz saying dat az one prophet from long time ago dat wen come back alive.
9 Herod tell: “I wen cut off John’s head. So who dis guy I stay hea about?” An Herod wanted fo try see um.
10 Wen da aposals come back, dey tell Jesus evryting dey wen do. Den he take dem wit him to one place called Beth·saʹi·da wea dey could be by demself.
11 But all da peopo find out wea he goin an follow him. Jesus give dem his aloha an start fo talk to dem about God’s Govament, an he heal da guys dass sick.
12 Wen da day almos pau, da Twelve come up to Jesus an sed: “Tell evrybody go so dat dey can go in da small towns an da countryside fo find food an one place fo stay, cuz we stay in da boonies.”
13 But he sed to dem: “You give dem someting fo eat.” Dey sed: “We no moa notting odda den five loaf bread an two fish, unless we go buy food fo all dese peopo.”
14 Had aroun 5,000 guys dea. Den he tell his guys: “Make dem sit down in groups of 50.”
15 So dey do dat an make um all sit down.
16 Jesus take da five loaf bread an two fish, an he look up to da sky* an sed one praya. Afta he break up da bread, he give um to his guys fo dem give um to da peopo.
17 So dey wen all eat til dey full, an dey wen colleck all da lef ovas an had fill up 12 baskets.
18 Layta wen he wuz by himself praying, his guys come to him an he ask dem: “Who all da peopo tink me?”
19 Dey tell him: “John da Baptiza, but odda peopo say E·liʹjah, an oddas say you one of da prophets from long time ago dat wen come back alive.”
20 Den he sed to dem: “But who you guys tink me?” Peter wen ansa: “Da Christ dat God wen sen.”
21 Den he tell dem strait fo no tell dis to nobody.
22 Den he sed: “Da Son of man* gotta suffa an be rejected by da eldas, da main pries guys, an da scribes,* an get killed. An afta three days, God goin raise um up.”
23 Den he tell all da peopo: “If anybody like be my followa, he no can live fo himself. He gotta carry one torcha pos* jus like me an no stop following me evryday.
24 Whoeva ony like save his life* goin lose um. But whoeva lose his life cuz of me iz da one who goin get um back.
25 Wass da point if somebody get evryting inside da world but den lose um all or mahke in da end?
26 But whoeva shame of me an wat I tell, da Son of man goin be shame of dat guy wen he come wit powa* from da Faddah an wit da powaful angels.
27 Garanz some of da guys hea not goin mahke til dey see God’s Govament.”
28 In fact, about eight days afta he sed dis, he wen take Peter, John, an James up da mountain fo pray.
29 Wen he wuz praying, his face wen light up an his clothes wen come sparkly white.
30 An right den an dea, had two guys talking story wit Jesus, wuz Moses an E·liʹjah.
31 Dey had look so awesome. An dey start fo talk about how Jesus wuz goin go away, an how dis had fo happen in Jerusalem.
32 Peter an da guys wit him wuz out cold, but wen dey come wide awake, dey see Jesus in all his awesomeness an da two guys standing wit him.
33 Wen da two guys wuz about fo leave Jesus, Peter sed to him: “Teacha, we happy we get fo be hea wit you guys! If you like, we goin put up three tents, one fo you, one fo Moses, an one fo E·liʹjah.” But Peter neva know wat he wuz talking about.
34 Wen he wuz saying all dis, one cloud wen start fo cova dem. Dey come sked wen dis happen.
35 Den one voice come outa da cloud an tell: “Dis my Boy, da one I wen choose. Lissen to him.”
36 Wen dey hea da voice, dey see dat Jesus wuz by himself. Dat time dey neva tell nobody wat dey wen see, but dey keep dea mout shut.
37 Da nex day wen dey come down from da mountain, plenny peopo wen go up to him.
38 An try look! One guy in da crowd call out to Jesus: “Hui Teacha! Please come check out my boy, cuz he my one an ony.
39 Try check um! One demon take ova him, an outa no wea he yell an make da boy shake like crazy an foam at da mout. An even afta da demon buss um up, he still no like leave my boy.
40 I wen beg yoa guys fo hemo da demon, but dey no could do um.”
41 Jesus tell: “You guys tinking iz way off an you no moa faith. How long I gotta put up wit you guys? Bring yoa boy ova hea.”
42 But wen da boy try go by Jesus, da demon throw him to da groun an make um shake real hahd. But Jesus scold da demon an wen heal da boy an give um back to his faddah.
43 An evrybody no could believe da awesome powa of God.
Wen dey wuz all tripping out at da stuff Jesus wuz doin, he tell his guys:
44 “Lissen real good an rememba dis, da Son of man goin get set up an turn ova to da guys dat hate um.”
45 But dey donno wat he mean an no could undastan um, an wuz sked fo ask him about um.
46 Den Jesus guys start fo argue wit each odda about who da mos importan.
47 Cuz Jesus know wat stay in dea heart, he take one young kid an bring um by him,
48 an he sed to dem: “Whoeva welcome guys dass like dis young kid cuz of me, stay welcome me too. An whoeva welcome me, stay welcome da one dat wen sen me too. Da guy dat tink he not importan iz da guy dat stay importan.”
49 Den John sed to him: “Teacha, we wen see somebody using yoa name fo take out demons, an we wen try stop um, cuz he not one of us.”
50 But Jesus sed to him: “No try stop um, cuz whoeva no stay agains you stay on yoa side.”
51 Wen da time fo Jesus go heaven wuz coming close, he make up his mind fo go Jerusalem.
52 So he sen messenjas fo go dea firs. Dey go inside one Sa·marʹi·tan village fo make tings ready fo him come.
53 But wen da peopo ova dea find out Jesus wanted fo go Jerusalem, dey neva like him come.
54 Wen his guys James an John see dis, dey sed: “Lord, you like us call down fiyah from heaven an take dese buggahs out?”
55 He look at dem an scold um.
56 Den dey go anodda village.
57 Wen dey wuz walking on da road, somebody sed to him: “I goin go wit you wea eva you go.”
58 But Jesus tell um: “Da fox get one place fo live an da bird get one nest, but I* no moa one place fo sleep.”
59 Den he sed to anodda guy: “Be my followa.” Da guy tell: “Lord, I like go bury my faddah firs.”
60 But Jesus tell um: “Let da dead go bury dea dead, but you go all ova an tell about God’s Govament.”
61 Den anodda guy tell: “I goin go wit you, Lord. But firs let me go tell bye to evrybody at my house.”
62 Jesus sed to him: “Nobody dat plow one field an look behind iz good enuff fo be part of God’s Govament.”
