Den da Devil sed to him: “If you really God’s boy, den tell dis rock fo come one loaf bread.”
But Jesus tell him: “Da Scripchas say, “Man no can live ony on bread.””
So da Devil bring him up one mountain, an all one time, he show Jesus all da countries on da earth.
Den da Devil tell um: “All dis powa* an awesome stuffs, I can give um to you cuz az mines, an I can give um to whoeva I like.
So jus dis one time, if you show dat you serve me, den az all yoas.”
Den Jesus sed to him: “Da Scripchas tell: “Serve Jehovah* yoa God, an work ony fo him.””
Den da Devil bring him to Jerusalem an put him on top da highes part of da tempo an sed to him: “If you really God’s boy, go jump off from hea,
cuz da Scripchas tell, “God goin sen his angels by you fo proteck you,”
an, “Dey goin carry you so dat yoa feet not goin hit da rock.””
Jesus ansa him: “Da Scripchas tell, “No good you try force Jehovah yoa God fo prove himself to you.””
So afta da Devil pau presha him, he go away til he find anodda good chance fo do um again.
Den Jesus, full of God’s powa, wen go back Galʹi·lee. An peopo sed good tings about him, an wen spread to da places aroun dea.
An he start fo teach in da synagogs,* an evrybody talk good about him.
Den he go Nazʹa·reth, wea he wen grow up. An jus like he always do on da Sabbath,* he go in da synagog an stan up fo read da Scripchas.
Da attendant pass him da scroll* of da prophet Isaiah, an he open um an find da place wea it tell:
“Jehovah wen give me his powa, cuz he pick me fo tell da good news to da pooa. He sen me fo tell da slaves dat dey goin be free, an da blind guys dat dey goin see again, fo bring relief to dose dat suffa,
an fo tell dem about da time dey can be blessed by Jehovah again.”
Den he roll up da scroll, give um back to da attendant, an sit down. An evrybody in da synagog wuz watching him real close.
Den he start fo tell dem: “Today da scripcha you jus wen hea stay come tru.”
Evrybody start fo talk good about him, an wen blow dea mind cuz da words he use wen touch dea heart. An dey tell: “Dis one of Joseph’s boys, no?”
Den he sed to dem: “Fo shua you goin tell dis about me, “If you one docta, den heal yoaself. Da stuff we hea you did in Ca·perʹna·um, do um ova hea in yoa hometown too.””
So he sed: “Fo shua, no prophet goin get respeck in his hometown.
I tell you da trut: Had plenny widows in Israel E·liʹjah’s time, wen neva rain fo three years an six months, an neva have food all ova da land.
But God neva sen E·liʹjah to any of dose wahines, ony to one widow who live Zarʹe·phath, one town dat belong to Siʹdon.
An had plenny lepers in Israel wen E·liʹsha wuz one prophet, but none of dem wen get healed, ony Naʹa·man da Syrian.”
Wen all da guys in da synagog hea dis stuff, dey start fo rage
an dey get up an rush um outa da city. Dey bring um to da edge of da mountain dat da city wuz built on fo throw um off da cliff.
But he wen escape from dem an got away.
Den he go down to Ca·perʹna·um, one town in Galʹi·lee. He wuz teaching dem on da Sabbath,
an had blow dea mind how good he teach, cuz wat he teach come from God.
In da synagog had one guy wit one demon, an he yell real loud:
“Ahh! Jesus da Naz·a·reneʹ! Wat you hea fo? You come fo get rid of us? I know exackly who you, da Holy One God wen sen!”
But Jesus scold da demon an tell um: “Shut yoa mout, an come outa da guy!” So afta da demon throw da guy down in front dem, da demon come outa him but neva hurt um.
Afta dat, dey wuz all tripping out an dey start fo tell each odda: “How’s dis guy, look how he talk! He get powa from God fo tell da demons fo come out, an dey do um!”
So da news about him wen spread to all da places aroun dea.
Afta Jesus leave da synagog, he go inside Simon’s house. Simon’s maddah in law wuz suffaring wit one high fever, an dey ask him fo help her.
So he come by her an tell da fever fo go away, an da fever wuz gone. Right den an dea, she get up an start fo take kea dem an make dem food.
Az da sun wuz goin down, all da peopo bring to Jesus da guys wit dem dat had all kine healt problems. He put his hands on top each of dem an heal um.
Even da demons wen come outa plenny peopo, an dey yell: “You God’s Boy!” But he scold dem an no let da demons talk about him, cuz dey know he da Christ.
Da nex day, he go someplace fo be by himself. But all da peopo wen start fo hunt um down an wen dey find um, dey try get him fo stay wit dem.
But he tell dem: “I gotta go odda towns fo tell da good news about God’s Govament, cuz dass how come God sen me hea.”
