5 He go wit Mary, his wife, fo dem get registered. She wuz goin give birth pretty soon.
6 Afta dey get dea, wen come time fo her give birth.
7 She give birth to her boy, da firs born, an wen wrap him up in cloth. She put him in one place wea dey feed da animals,* cuz neva have one room wea dey could stay ova night.
8 Ova dea in da country had shepherds living outside an dey wuz watching dea sheep night time.
9 All of a sudden, Jehovah’s* angel come by dem, an one bright light coming from Jehovah shine all aroun dem, an dey come real sked.
10 But da angel tell dem: “No be sked, cuz try look! I get good news fo tell you dat goin make all da peopo come supa happy.
11 Cuz today in David’s town, da one dat goin save you wuz born. Dass Christ da Lord.
12 Dis how you goin know who him: You goin find one bebe dass wrap in cloth, lying in one place wea dey feed da animals.”
13 Right den an dea, choke moa angels wen show up, an wit da firs angel dey tell good tings about God. Dey say:
14 “Praise God in heaven, an on earth, peace to da guys dat God stay happy wit.”
15 So wen da angels leave dem an go back heaven, da shepherds start fo tell each odda: “We go Bethʹle·hem fo check out wat Jehovah wen tell us about.”
16 Real quick, dey go Bethʹle·hem an find Mary an Joseph. An dey see da bebe lying in one place wea dey feed da animals.
17 Wen dey see dis, dey tell dem wat God’s angel sed about dis young boy.
18 An evrybody wuz shock wen dey hea wat da shepherds had tell.
19 But Mary make shua fo rememba evryting dat wuz sed, an she tink plenny about wat all dis mean.
20 Den da shepherds go back to dea sheep. An dey praise God an tank him fo all dey wen see an hea, cuz wuz jus like he sed.
21 Afta eight days, da time come fo circumcise* him. Dey name um Jesus, da name da angel wen give him befoa Mary wuz hapai.
22 Wen da time come fo dem give one sacrifice fo come clean jus like da Law from Moses tell fo do, dey bring him up to Jerusalem fo show um to Jehovah,
23 cuz Jehovah’s Law say: “Evry firs born male goin belong to Jehovah.”
24 So dey make one sacrifice jus like da Law of Jehovah tell: “two turtledoves or two young pigeons.”
25 Get one guy in Jerusalem named Simʹe·on. He respeck God an always do wass right. He wuz waiting fo da time God would help Israel, an God’s powa wuz wit him.
26 An God wen use his powa fo show him dat he not goin mahke befoa he see da Christ, da one Jehovah wen choose.
27 God’s powa wen move him fo go inside da tempo. Wen Jesus parents wuz bringing him in da tempo, cuz dass wat da Law tell fo do,
28 Simʹe·on go carry da boy in his arms an praise God. He tell:
29 “Lord, Highes Rula, cuz you wen do wat you promise, now I can die in peace,
30 cuz I wen see da one who goin save peopo,
31 da one you wen sen fo evrybody see,
32 one light fo take away da darkness dat cova da nations an dat goin shine on yoa peopo Israel.”
33 An da boy’s maddah an faddah wen trip out at all da tings Simʹe·on tell about him.
34 Den Simʹe·on bless dem an sed to Mary, da boy’s maddah: “Try look! Dis one goin be da reason why plenny peopo in Israel goin eidda fall down or stan up again. He goin be somebody dat, wen peopo see um, dey goin talk agains um
35 an dat goin show wass in peopo’s hearts. An you, Mary, you goin get plenny pain inside an feel soa jus like one long sword go thru yoa heart.”*
36 Had one prophetess, her name wuz Anna an she wuz da daughtah of Phanʹu·el, from da tribe of Ashʹer, an she wuz old. She wuz wit her husban fo ony seven years afta dey wuz married,*
37 but she one widow, an now she 84 years old. She wuz always dea at da tempo, worshipping God day an night* an she would fast an pray real hahd.
38 At dat time, she come by dem an start fo tank God an talk about da boy to evrybody dat wuz waiting fo God save da Jerusalem peopo.
39 So wen Joseph an Mary pau do evryting da Law of Jehovah tell fo do, dey go back to Nazʹa·reth, dea hometown in Galʹi·lee.
40 An da boy keep getting bigga an stronga, an coming moa akamai, an God wuz happy wit him.
41 Evry year his parents would go Jerusalem fo da Passova festival.
42 So wen he wuz 12 years old, dey go da festival jus like dey always do.
43 Wen da festival wuz pau an dey wuz goin back home, Jesus wen stay in Jerusalem, but his parents neva know.
44 Tinking he stay in anodda group traveling wit dem, dey wen go walk one whole day. Den dey start fo check wit dea family an evrybody else dey know fo try find him.
45 But wen dey neva find um, dey go back Jerusalem an look all ova fo him.
46 Afta three days dey find him sitting in da tempo wit da teachas, lissening to dem an asking dem questions.
47 But evrybody dat wuz lissening to him no could believe his ansas an how much he undastan.
48 Wen his parents see him, dey wuz shock, an his maddah sed to him: “Boy! How come you make us worry? Me an yoa faddah wuz freaking out looking fo you.”
49 But he sed to dem: “How come you wuz looking fo me? You no tink I would be in my Faddah’s house?”
50 But dey neva undastan wat he tell dem.
51 Den he go down wit dem back to Nazʹa·reth, an he keep lissening to dem. An his maddah make shua fo rememba all dese tings.
52 Jesus keep growing up an coming moa akamai. God an all da peopo keep tinking good about him.
