Wat Luke Wen Write 20:1-47
20 One of da days wen Jesus wuz teaching da peopo in da tempo an telling da good news, da main pries guys an da scribes* wit da eldas wen come
2 an tell Jesus: “Try tell us, wat right you get fo do all dis? An who gave you da right fo do um?”
3 Jesus sed to dem: “I like ask you someting firs, an you ansa me:
4 Wen John had baptize peopo, who wen give him da right fo do dat? God or man?”
5 So dey talk to each odda, “If we tell, “God,” he goin tell us, “How come you neva believe him?”
6 But if we say, “Man,” all da peopo goin stone us, cuz dey believe John wuz one prophet.”
7 So dey tell dat dey donno who give um da right.
8 Jesus tell dem: “Den I not goin tell you why I get da right fo do dese tings.”
9 Den he start fo tell da peopo dis story: “One guy wen plant grapes on his land an wen lease um to farmas, an he go travel far away fo long time.
10 Wen came time fo harves, he sen one worka to da farmas so dey would give him some of da grapes. But da farmas beat um up an sen um away wit notting.
11 Den he sen anodda worka to dem. Dey beat up dat guy too, make um shame, an sen um away wit notting.
12 Den he sen one moa guy. Dey buss up dis guy too an throw um out.
13 So da owna of da land sed, “Wat I goin do den? You know wat, I goin sen my son dat I love plenny. Garanz dey goin respeck him.”
14 Wen da farmas see him, dey tell each odda, “Dis da one dat goin own da farm. We go kill um so dat da land can be ouas.”
15 Den dey drag um outside an kill um. So wat da owna of da farm goin do to dem?
16 He goin come an kill dem an give da land to odda farmas.”
Wen da peopo hea dat, dey sed: “No way dat goin happen!”
17 But he look strait at um an ask: “Den wat dis mean in da Scripchas: “Da stone dat da buildas neva like wen come da mos importan stone”?*
18 Evrybody dat fall on dat stone goin get buss up real bad. An anybody dat da stone fall on, goin get smash.”
19 Right den an dea, da scribes an da main pries guys wuz trying fo find one way fo arrest Jesus cuz dey know he talking about dem. But dey wuz sked of da peopo.
20 So dey look fo one chance fo trick him. Dey pay guys fo pretend dey good so dat dey can catch Jesus saying someting wrong an turn um in to da guys in charge an da govna.
21 So dose guys question him an tell: “Teacha, we know wat you say an teach iz correck an you treat evrybody same, an you teach da trut about God.
22 So az right fo pay da tax to Caesar o wat?”
23 But he could tell dey wanted fo trick him. So he tell dem:
24 “Show me one de·narʹi·us.* Whose picha an name stay on dea?” Dey sed: “Caesar’s.”
25 He sed to dem: “So den, give Caesar wat stay his, but give God wat stay his.”
26 Dey no wuz able fo trick him fo say someting wrong in front da peopo. But wat he tell blow dea mind an dey no could say notting.
27 Den some of da Sadducees,* da guys dat no believe in da resurrection, come an ask him:
28 “Teacha, Moses wen write, “If somebody’s braddah die an he no moa one kid, he gotta marry da wife of da braddah dat wen mahke fo have kids fo him.”
29 We know seven braddahs. Da firs one wen marry one wahine but had die befoa he had kids.
30 Da secon braddah marry her
31 an den da third one. In fact all seven braddahs wen marry her but wen mahke befoa dey had kids.
32 An den da wahine die too.
33 So wen da seven guys come back alive, who da wahine goin be married to? Cuz dey all had marry her.”
34 Jesus tell dem: “Da peopo of dis system* goin marry.
35 But da guys dat God let live in dat new system an come back alive, not goin marry.
36 Dey no can die anymoa cuz dey jus like angels. An cuz dey goin come back alive, dey goin be God’s kids.
37 Even in Moses writings about da burning bush, he had talk about da dead coming back to life wen he call Jehovah* “da God fo Abraham, da God fo Isaac, an da God fo Jacob.”
38 He da God fo da guys dat stay alive, not da dead, cuz dey all stay alive to him.”
39 Da scribes sed to him: “Teacha, dass right wat you tell.”
40 Dey neva have da guts fo ask him anyting afta dat.
41 So den Jesus ask dem: “How come dey say dat da Christ iz David’s boy?
42 Cuz in da book Songs Fo God, David sed, “Jehovah wen tell my Lord: “Sit ova hea on my right side
43 til I put yoa enemies unda yoa feet.””
44 David call him Lord, so how he can be his boy?”
45 Den wen all da peopo wuz lissening, he tell his guys:
46 “Watch out fo da scribes dat like fo walk aroun in long robes, an dat love it wen peopo greet dem in da market. Da ones dat like da front* seats in da synagogs* an fo sit in da mos importan place at da dinna table.
47 Da ones dat take da widows stuffs* an make long prayas ony fo show. Dea punishment goin be moa heavy den oddas.”
