6 On da Sabbath,* Jesus wuz walking thru da wheat fields an his followas wuz picking grain. Dey wen rub um wit dea hands an eat um.
2 Wen some Pharisees* see dat, dey tell: “How come you doin stuff you not suppose to do on da Sabbath?”
3 But Jesus tell dem: “You neva read wat David an his guys had do wen dey wuz hungry?
4 How he wen go inside God’s house an take da spesho bread fo God, eat um, an give some to da guys wit him? Nobody wuz suppose to do dat, ony da pries guys.”
5 Den he sed to dem: “Da Son of man* stay in charge of da Sabbath.”
6 On anodda Sabbath, he wen go inside da synagog* an start fo teach. Had one guy dea an his right hand no work.*
7 Da scribes* an da Pharisees wuz watching Jesus real good fo see if he wuz goin heal on da Sabbath, cuz dey wanted fo find someting fo use agains him.
8 But Jesus wen know wat dey wuz tinking, so he tell da guy wit da hand dat no work: “Get up an go stan in da middo.” So he wen get up an stan ova dea.
9 Den Jesus tell dem: “I like ask you guys, on da Sabbath, wass da right ting fo do? Someting good or someting bad? Save one life* or kill somebody?”
10 Afta he look aroun at all dem, he tell da guy: “Stick out yoa hand.” Da guy did um, an his hand wen come good.
11 But dey wen come all nutz an start fo talk wit each odda about wat fo do to Jesus.
12 On one of dose days he wen go to da mountain fo pray, an he stay dea all night praying to God.
13 Wen day time come, he call his followas an pick 12 guys from dem, an he call dem aposals:
14 Simon, da one he also call Peter, his braddah Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bar·tholʹo·mew,
15 Matthew, Thomas, James, dass Al·phaeʹus boy, Simon, dey tell he “da one dat jus give um all da time,”
16 Judas da boy of James, an Judas Is·carʹi·ot, who wen come one back stabba.
17 An he come down da mountain wit dem to one place wea stay flat. Had plenny of his followas dea an choke peopo from all ova Ju·deʹa, Jerusalem, an from da coast of Tyre an Siʹdon. Dey come fo lissen him an get healed from all dea healt problems.
18 Had guys dat da demons make trouble to, an even dem wen come good.
19 An evrybody wanted fo touch Jesus, cuz powa wuz coming outa him an had heal all dem.
20 Den he look at his followas an sed:
“You guys dass pooa stay happy, cuz God’s Govament goin be fo you.
21 “You guys dass hungry stay happy, cuz you goin get full.
“You guys dat cry stay happy, cuz you goin laugh.
22 “You stay happy weneva guys hate you, an kick you out, an wen peopo talk bad to you, an tell you no good cuz of me, da Son of man.
23 Wen dat happen, be supa happy cuz yoa blessing wit God* goin be real spesho. Dea ancestas wen do da same tings to da prophets.
24 “But bummahz fo you guys dass rich, cuz wat you get now iz all you goin get.
25 “Bummahz fo you guys dass full now, cuz you goin be hungry.
“Bummahz fo you guys dat laugh now, cuz you goin come sad an cry layta.
26 “Bummahz wen oddas praise you, cuz dass wat dea ancestas wen do to da fake prophets.
27 “But I tell you guys dass lissening: No stop loving da guys dat like hurt you, do good tings to da guys dat hate you,
28 ask God fo do good tings to da guys dat like bad tings happen to you, an pray fo da guys dat no treat you right.
29 Wen somebody wack one side of yoa face, let um wack da odda side too. Wen somebody take yoa coat, no hold back fo give um yoa shirt too.
30 If anybody ask you fo someting, give um to dem. An if one guy take away yoa stuff, no ask fo um back.
31 “Anodda ting, wat you like odda peopo do to you, do da same to dem.
32 “How iz good fo you if you ony love da guys dat love you? Cuz even da sinnaz love da guys dat love dem.
33 An how iz good fo you if you ony do good tings to da guys dat do good fo you? Even da sinnaz do da same ting.
34 An how iz good fo you if you let somebody borrow someting* cuz you know dey goin pay you back. Even sinnaz let each odda borrow tings cuz dey know dey goin get da same ting back.
35 But you, no stop loving yoa enemies, do good tings fo peopo, an let oddas borrow from you an no expeck notting back. If you do dat, yoa blessing from God goin be real spesho, an you goin be jus like one son of da Mos High God, cuz he good even to da guys dass bad an not tankful.
36 Keep showing pity, jus like yoa Faddah show pity.
37 “Also, no judge, an you not goin get judge. No tell dat oddas no good, so God no tell dat you no good. No stop letting oddas go,* an you goin be let go.*
38 Keep on giving, an peopo goin give to you. Dey goin give plenny to you, an dey goin load up da pocket of yoa clothes,* shake um, pack um down, an still goin ovaflow. Cuz da way you give to peopo, dass how dey goin do fo you.”
39 Den he paint dem one picha wen he tell: “One blind guy no can tell anodda blind guy wea fo go ah? Both of dem goin fall in one ditch no?
40 One student* not goin be moa betta den his teacha, but evrybody who learn real good goin be like his teacha.
41 So how come you look da sawdus in yoa braddah’s eye but you no can even see da big piece wood in yoa own eye?
42 How you can tell yoa braddah, “Braddah, try let me take da dus outa yoa eye,” wen you no even see da big piece wood in yoa own eye? No ack! Firs hemo da wood from yoa own eye, den you goin see moa betta how fo hemo da dus in yoa braddah’s eye.
43 “One good tree no goin make bad fruit, an one junk tree no goin make good fruit.
44 You goin know if one tree iz good or bad by da fruit. Fo exampo, peopo not goin pick fruit from weeds, or grapes from one bush wit thorns.
45 One good guy give good tings cuz of da good stuff inside his heart, but one bad guy give wass bad cuz of da bad stuff inside him. Cuz wat stay inside one guy’s heart goin come outa his mout.
46 “How come you call me “Lord! Lord!” but you no do da tings I tell?
47 Evrybody dat follow me an hea wat I say an do um, I goin tell you who he stay like:
48 He jus like one guy dass building his house. He dig way down fo make da foundation on da rock. So wen one flood come an da riva slam agains da house, neva do notting cuz da house wuz solid.
49 But da guy dat hea an no do notting stay like one guy dat build his house on da groun witout one foundation. Da riva slam agains um an real fas da ting fall down. Da house wuz gonnaz.”
