Wat Luke Wen Write 14:1-35
14 Anodda time on da Sabbath,* Jesus wen go one Pharisee* leada’s house fo eat, an da guys in da house wuz keeping dea eye on him.
2 An try look! One guy wit one sickness* dat make his body swell up wuz in front him.
3 So den Jesus ask da Pharisees an da guys dat know da Law real good: “Az okay fo heal on da Sabbath o wat?”
4 But dey neva say notting. So Jesus take da guy, heal um, an sen um away.
5 Den he sed to dem: “If yoa son or bull fall inside one well on da Sabbath, ony fas you goin pull um out ah?”
6 An dey no could say notting to dat.
7 Wen he see how da guys dat wuz invited ova dea wuz picking da bes seats fo demself, he tell dem one story fo teach dem one lesson. He sed to dem:
8 “Wen somebody invite you to one wedding party, no sit in da bes seats. Cuz maybe somebody moa importan den you wuz invited too.
9 Den da guy dat wen invite both you guys goin tell you, “Eh dis seat not fo you, iz fo him.” Den you goin be shame cuz you gotta go sit way in da back.
10 But wen somebody invite you, go sit all da way in da back, so dat wen da guy who invite you come, he goin tell you, “My braddah, go sit moa close to da front.” Den all da odda guys dea goin respeck you.
11 Cuz whoeva make like he moa importan goin come shame, but whoeva stay humbo goin come importan.”
12 Den he tell da guy who had invite him: “Wen you make one lunch or one dinna, no invite yoa frenz, braddahs, family, or rich kine peopo. Cuz if you do dat, dey might invite you ova fo pay you back.
13 But wen you make one get togedda, invite da pooa, cripple, an blind.
14 Den you goin be happy cuz dey no moa notting fo pay you back. You goin get paid back wen da guys dat do wass right come back alive.”
15 Afta hearing all dis, one of da guys dat wuz invited sed to Jesus: “Da one dat eat* in God’s Govament stay happy.”
16 Jesus sed to him: “One guy wuz making one big fancy dinna an wen invite plenny guys.
17 Wen wuz dinna time, he sen his worka fo go tell all da guys he wen invite, “Come, cuz evryting stay ready.”
18 But all dem wen start fo make excuses. Da firs one sed, “I wen jus buy land an gotta go check um out. I sorry, I no can come.”
19 Anodda sed, “I jus wen buy 10 cows an I gotta go check um out. I sorry, I no can come.”
20 Den anodda guy tell, “I jus wen get married, so I no can make um.”
21 So da worka come an tell all dis to his masta. Den da masta of da house come real mad an tell his worka, “Hurry up an go da main roads an da side streets in town an go get all da guys dass pooa, cripple, an blind.”
22 Layta on, da worka come back an tell, “Masta, wat you told me fo do, I wen do. But still get room.”
23 So da masta tell da worka, “Go da roads outside da town an try make da peopo come so dat can fill up my house.
24 Cuz I tell you, da firs guys I wen invite, no ways dey goin come eat dinna my house.””
25 Had plenny peopo traveling wit Jesus, an he turn aroun an tell dem:
26 “If anybody like follow me an he no love me moa den* his faddah, maddah, wife, kids, braddahs, sistahs, an even his own life,* den he no can be my followa.
27 Whoeva no like carry his torcha pos* an follow me no can be my followa.
28 Try tink, if somebody like build one towa, firs he gotta figga out how much goin cos fo see if he get nuff fo finish um.
29 Oddawise, he might lay da foundation, but dass it. An all da guys watching goin start fo make fun of him.
30 Dey goin say: “How’s dis guy? He wen start fo build but no can finish um.”
31 Or try tink, if one king wit 10,000 guys go fo fight anodda king wit 20,000 guys, firs he goin sit down an talk wit oddas fo see if he goin be able fo win.
32 If he no can win, den he goin sen guys fo try make peace wit da odda king wen he still stay far away.
33 So, if you not ready fo give up all da tings you get, you no can be my followa.
34 “Fo shua, salt iz good. But if da salt no moa taste anymoa, how da ting goin come salty again?
35 Da salt not even good fo mix wit soil or fertiliza. Peopo jus throw um away. You guys dat get ears fo lissen, lissen up.”
