Wat John Wen Write 6:1-71
6 Afta dis, Jesus go across da Sea of Galʹi·lee, dass also called Ti·beʹri·as.
2 An choke peopo kept following him, cuz dey wuz watching da miracles he wuz doin wen he heal da sick.
3 So Jesus wen go up one mountain an sit dea wit his guys.
4 Da Passova* wuz coming up. Dass da festival fo da Jews.
5 Wen Jesus look up an see all da peopo coming to him, he tell Philip: “Wea we goin buy bread fo feed all dese guys?”
6 But he sed dis fo tes him, cuz he awready wen know wat he wuz goin do.
7 Philip ansa: “Two hundred de·narʹi·i* of bread not goin be nuff fo feed dese guys even litto bit.”
8 One of his guys, Andrew, dass Simon Peter’s braddah, sed to him:
9 “Look dis litto boy, he get five loaf bread* an two small fish. But how we goin feed all dese peopo wit ony dat?”
10 Jesus sed: “Try tell evrybody fo sit down.” So da guys wen sit down cuz had plenny grass ova dea. Had aroun 5,000 of dem.
11 Jesus take da bread, an afta he tank God in praya, he give um to evrybody dea. He do da same ting wit da fish, an dey wen eat az much az dey like.
12 An wen dey wuz full, he told his guys: “Go pick up da lef ovas so you no wase notting.”
13 So all da lef ovas dey wen gadda from da five loafs wen fill up 12 baskets.
14 Wen da peopo see dis miracle, dey start fo say: “Fo real dis da Prophet dat wuz suppose to come into da world.”
15 Jesus know dat dey wuz goin grab him fo make him king, so he dig out to da mountain again, dis time by himself.
16 Wen da sun wuz goin down, his guys go down to da shore.
17 Dey get on one boat fo go across da sea to Ca·perʹna·um. By now wuz dark, an Jesus neva come by dem yet.
18 An da watta wuz getting rough cuz had strong winds.
19 Wen dey had row about three or four miles,* dey see Jesus walking on da watta an coming close to da boat, an dey come all sked.
20 But he sed to dem: “Az ony me, no be sked!”
21 Den dey wanted him fo come in da boat. An litto bit afta dat, dey wen get to wea dey wuz goin.
22 Da nex day, all da guys dat wen stay on da odda shore seen dat da small boat dat wuz dea befoa wuz gone. Jesus guys got on um an lef witout him.
23 But boats from da town of Ti·beʹri·as wen come wea dey had eat da bread afta Jesus wen tank God.
24 So wen all da peopo see dat Jesus an his guys no wuz dea, dey get on dose boats an go Ca·perʹna·um fo look fo Jesus.
25 Wen dey find him on da odda side of da sea, dey ask: “Wen you got hea Rabbi?”
26 Jesus ansa dem: “I tell you fo shua, you looking fo me cuz you wen eat da bread an come full, not cuz you seen da miracles I wen do.
27 No work fo da food dat no las. Work fo da food dat las an can make you live foeva. Dass da food da Son of man* goin give you, cuz he da one dat God da Faddah stay happy wit.”
28 So dey sed to him: “Wat kine stuff we gotta do fo make God happy?”
29 Jesus ansa: “Dis wat God like you do. Show faith in me, cuz He wen sen me.”
30 Den dey tell him: “Wat miracle you goin do so we can see um an believe in you? Wat you goin do?
31 Oua ancestas wen eat da manna in da boonies, like da Scripchas say: “He wen give dem bread from heaven* fo eat.””
32 Den Jesus sed to dem: “I telling you fo shua, Moses neva give you da bread from heaven, but now my Faddah give you da real bread from heaven.
33 Cuz da bread God give come down from heaven an give da real life to evrybody.”*
34 So dey tell him: “Lord, give us dis bread all da time.”
35 Jesus tell dem: “I da bread dat give da real life. Whoeva follow me not goin eva get hungry, an whoeva show faith in me not goin eva get thirsty.
36 But like I wen tell you befoa, you wen see me an still yet you no believe.
37 All da guys da Faddah bring to me goin follow me, an I not goin sen dem away.
38 Cuz I wen come down from heaven fo do wat da One dat wen sen me like, not wat I like.
39 Da One dat wen sen me no like me lose any of da guys He wen bring to me. But He like me bring dem back to life on da las day.*
40 Dis wat my Faddah like. He like evrybody dat know da Son an show faith in him live foeva, an I goin bring him back to life on da las day.”
41 Den da Jews start fo grumbo about him cuz he sed: “I da bread dat wen come down from heaven.”
42 An dey start fo tell: “Dis not Jesus, Joseph’s boy? We know his maddah an faddah. So how he can tell, “I wen come down from heaven”?”
43 Jesus tell dem: “No grumbo you guys.
44 Nobody can follow me if da Faddah, who wen sen me, no bring um, an I goin bring him back to life on da las day.
45 Da prophets wen write: “Get peopo dat Jehovah* goin teach.” Evrybody dat lissen to da Faddah an learn from him follow me.
46 Nobody wen see da Faddah. Ony me, da one dat come from God, wen see da Faddah.
47 I telling you fo shua, whoeva believe goin live foeva.
48 “I da bread dat give da real life.
49 Yoa ancestas wen eat da manna in da boonies an still yet wen mahke.
50 But anybody dat eat da bread dat come down from heaven not goin mahke.
51 I da bread dat wen come down from heaven dat give life. If anybody eat dis bread he goin live foeva. In fact, da bread I goin give iz my body.* I goin give um so dat peopo can live.”
52 Den da Jews start fo argue wit each odda. Dey say: “How dis guy give us his body fo eat?”
53 So Jesus sed to dem: “I telling you fo shua, if you no eat da body of da Son of man an drink his blood, you not goin get da real life.*
54 Whoeva eat my body an drink my blood goin live foeva, an I goin bring him back to life on da las day.
55 Cuz my body iz da real food an my blood iz da real drink.
56 Whoeva eat my body an drink my blood stay tight wit me, an I stay tight wit him.
57 Da Faddah who stay alive wen sen me, an I live cuz he wen give me life. So da one dat eat my body goin live cuz I goin give him life.
58 Dis da bread dat wen come down from heaven. Iz not like da bread yoa ancesta wen eat but still yet wen die. Whoeva eat dis bread goin live foeva.”
59 He sed dese tings wen he wuz teaching in da synagog* in Ca·perʹna·um.
60 Wen dey hea dis, plenny of his followas tell: “Dis guy stay talking any kine! We not goin lissen to dis!”
61 But Jesus know dat his followas wuz grumbling about dis, so he sed to dem: “Wat I sed bodda you?
62 Wat if you see da Son of man goin up to wea he wuz befoa?
63 God’s powa iz wat give life, peopo no can do notting. Da tings I wen tell you come from God’s powa an give life.
64 But get some of you guys dat no believe.” Cuz Jesus wen know from da start da guys dat neva believe an da one dat wuz goin stab um in da back.
65 Den he sed: “Dass why I tell you, nobody can follow me unless da Faddah let um.”
66 Cuz of dis, plenny of his followas go back to da tings dey wuz doin befoa an wen stop following him.
67 So Jesus tell da Twelve: “So wat, you guys like go too?”
68 Simon Peter ansa: “Lord, who we goin follow? You teach tings about living foeva.
69 We wen believe an come fo know dat you da Holy One God wen sen.”
70 Jesus tell dem: “I wen choose you 12 guys. But eh, one of you guys iz one liar.”*
71 In fact, he wuz talking about Judas, da son of Simon Is·carʹi·ot, cuz he wuz goin stab um in da back, even tho he wuz one of da Twelve.
