Wat John Wen Write 1:1-51
1 In da beginning da Word* wuz dea, an da Word wuz wit God, an da Word wuz one god.*
2 He wuz wit God from da start.
3 God wen use him fo make evryting, an no moa notting dat wuz made witout him.
4 He wen help make evryting come to life an he wuz da light fo man.
5 An da light stay shining in da dark, but da dark no stay taking um ova.
6 Had one guy God wen sen. His name wuz John.
7 He wen come az one witness fo tell peopo about da light, so dat thru him, all kine peopo can believe.
8 He no wuz dat light, but he wen come fo tell about dat light.
9 Da real light dat give light to evrybody wuz about fo show up in da world.
10 He wuz in da world, an God wen use him fo help make da world, but da world neva know who him.
11 He wen come to his homeland, but his own peopo neva accept him.
12 But da guys dat wen accept him, he wen give dem da right fo come God’s kids, cuz dey wuz showing faith in him.
13 An dey come God’s kids, not thru blood, or cuz parents or any odda man like um happen, but cuz God make um happen.
14 So da Word wen come one man* an live wit us, an we wen get fo see his awesomeness, da kine dat belong to one faddah’s one an ony boy. He always wen tell da trut an show plenny spesho kindness dat he got from God.
15 (John wen yell out: “Dis wuz da guy I wuz talking about wen I sed, “Da one coming behind me now stay greater den me, cuz he wuz alive befoa me.””)
16 Cuz he wuz full of God’s spesho kindness, we wen get plenny of dat spesho kindness too.
17 God wen give da Law thru Moses, but thru Jesus Christ he wen give us spesho kindness an da trut.
18 No man wen eva see God. Da one who wen tell about him iz da one an ony boy* who stay at da Faddah’s side.*
19 Dis da witness John give wen da Jews had sen Levites an pries guys from Jerusalem fo ask him: “Who you?”
20 An he wuz quick fo say: “I not da Christ.”
21 An dey ask him: “So wat den, you E·liʹjah?” He tell: “I not.” “You da Prophet we waiting fo?” He ansa: “No!”
22 So dey sed to him: “Who you den? Tell us so we can go tell da guys dat wen sen us. Tell us who you.”
23 He sed: “I somebody yelling from da boonies, “Clear Jehovah’s* road,” jus like da prophet Isaiah sed.”
24 Wuz da Pharisees* dat wen sen dese guys.
25 Dey ask him: “Den how come you baptize peopo if you not da Christ or E·liʹjah or da Prophet we waiting fo?”
26 John tell dem: “Az tru, I baptize in watta. But get somebody dass hea wit you guys dat you donno,
27 da one coming afta me, an I not even good enuff fo go down an untie da string of his sandal.”
28 All dis happen in one place across da Jordan Riva called Bethʹa·ny, wea John wuz baptizing peopo.
29 Da nex day he see Jesus coming to him, an he tell: “Try look, dea da Lamb of God, da one dat goin hemo all da sin from da world!
30 Dis da guy I wuz talking about wen I sed: “Da one coming behind me now stay greater den me, cuz he wuz alive befoa me.”
31 Even I neva know who he wuz, but I stay baptize peopo in watta so dat Israel can know who him.”
32 John also tell dis: “I wen see God’s powa come down from da sky like one dove, an had stay on him.
33 Even I neva know who he wuz, but da One dat wen sen me fo baptize in watta sed to me: “Wen you see my powa go on top somebody an stay on him, dass da one who goin baptize wit my powa.”
34 I seen um, an I wen show oddas dat dis guy iz da Son of God.”
35 Same ting da nex day, John wuz standing wit two of his followas,
36 an wen he spock Jesus walking, he sed: “Try look, dea da Lamb of God!”
37 Wen da two guys hea him say dis, dey go wit Jesus.
38 Den Jesus turn aroun an see dem following an he sed to dem: “Wat you looking fo?” Dey sed to him: “Rabbi (wen you translate um dat mean, “Teacha”), wea you staying?”
39 He tell um: “Come look.” Dat time wuz about 4 o’clock.* So dey go an see wea he wuz staying. An dey stay wit him all day.
40 Andrew, da braddah of Simon Peter, wuz one of da guys dat wen go wit Jesus afta he hea wat John sed.
41 Da firs ting he wen do wuz go to his braddah Simon an tell um: “We wen find da Mes·siʹah” (wen you translate um dat mean, “Christ”),
42 an he bring um to Jesus. Wen Jesus see him, he tell: “You Simon, da son of John. You goin be called Ceʹphas” (wen you translate um, az “Peter”).
43 Da nex day Jesus wanted fo go Galʹi·lee. An wen he find Philip, he tell um: “Be my followa.”
44 Philip wuz from da same town az Andrew an Peter, dass Beth·saʹi·da.
45 Philip go look fo Na·thanʹa·el an tell um: “We wen find da guy dat da Law from Moses an da writings of da prophets wen talk about: Az Jesus, from Nazʹa·reth, da son of Joseph.”
46 But Na·thanʹa·el tell um: “From Nazʹa·reth? Nah no ways. Notting good can come from Nazʹa·reth.” Philip tell um: “Come check um out.”
47 Jesus see Na·thanʹa·el coming to him an he say: “You see dis guy? He one good Israelite dat no ack fake.”
48 Na·thanʹa·el sed to him: “How you know me?” Jesus tell um: “Befoa Philip wen talk to you, I seen you unda da fig tree.”
49 Na·thanʹa·el tell: “Rabbi, fo real you da Son of God, da King of Israel.”
50 Jesus sed: “You believe me cuz I wen spock you unda da fig tree? You goin see tings way moa mean den dat.”
51 Den he tell um: “You guys, I telling you, you goin see da sky* open up an God’s angels goin up an down to wea da Son of man* stay.”
