Wat John Wen Write 19:1-42
19 Den Pilate told da soldiers fo take Jesus away an whip um.
2 An da soldiers wen braid one crown of thorns an put um on his head an dress him in one purple robe.
3 Dey keep coming up to him an saying: “Aloha! You King of da Jews!” Dey keep slapping him in da face too.
4 Pilate go outside again an tell dem: “Dea! I bring him out hea fo you guys know I neva find notting wrong wit him.”
5 So Jesus come outside wearing da crown of thorns an da purple robe. An Pilate sed to dem: “Look! Dis da guy!”
6 But wen da main pries guys an da officers see him, dey yell: “Put him on da pos! Put him on da pos!”* Pilate tell dem: “You guys take um an kill um on da pos, cuz I no find notting wrong wit him.”
7 Da Jews ansa: “We get one law dat say he gotta die, cuz he tell dat he God’s boy.”
8 Wen Pilate hea wat dey tell, he come even moa sked.
9 An he go inside his house again an ask Jesus: “Wea you from?” But Jesus no ansa him.
10 Pilate sed to him: “Wat? You no like talk to me? You donno dat I get da powa* fo let you go an da powa fo kill you?”*
11 Jesus ansa him: “You no would have any powa ova me unless God give um to you. Dass why da guy who wen turn me in stay moa guilty den you.”
12 Cuz of dis, Pilate wuz looking fo one way fo let him go, but da Jews yell: “You let go dis guy, you not Caesar’s fren. Evrybody dat say he one king stay go agains Caesar.”
13 Afta he hea all dis, Pilate bring Jesus outside. Den he sit down on one chair wea he judge in one place called Stone Pavement, but in Hebrew iz called Gabʹba·tha.
14 Wuz da day fo prepare* fo da Passova.* Wuz about noontime.* Pilate sed: “Dea! Yoa king!”
15 But dey yell: “Take um away! Take um away! Kill um on da pos!”* Pilate sed to dem: “You like me kill yoa king?” Da main pries guys ansa: “We no moa anodda king but Caesar.”
16 Den Pilate give him to dem* fo get killed on da pos.
Den dey take Jesus away.
17 Carrying da torcha pos* himself, he go out to da place dey call Skull Place, an in Hebrew dey call um Golʹgo·tha.
18 Dass wea dey nail Jesus to da pos an put him in da middo of two odda guys.
19 Pilate wen write one title on one sign an put um on da torcha pos. It sed: “Jesus da Naz·a·reneʹ da King of da Jews.”
20 Plenny of da Jews could read dis title cuz da place wea Jesus wuz nailed to da pos wuz nea da town. It wuz written in Hebrew, Latin, an Greek.
21 But da main pries guys fo da Jews sed to Pilate: “Eh, no write, “Da King of da Jews,” but write dat he sed, “I da King of da Jews.””
22 Pilate sed: “No, wat I wen write iz wat I wen write.”
23 Wen da soldiers nail Jesus to da pos, dey take all his clothes. Dey split da one he wea on da outside into four pieces, so dat each soldier get one piece. But da one he wea undaneat neva have one seam, cuz wuz woven from top to bottom.
24 So dey tell each odda: “Eh, no rip dis one, but we go throw small stones* ova um fo decide who goin get um.” Dis wuz so dat da scripcha would come tru: “Dey split up my clothes wit each odda, an throw small stones fo um.” An dass wat da soldiers wen do.
25 Standing nex to Jesus torcha pos wuz his maddah an his maddah’s sistah. Had Mary da wife of Cloʹpas an Mary Magʹda·lene dea too.
26 So wen Jesus see his maddah an one of his followas who he love plenny standing dea, he tell his maddah: “Ma! Look yoa boy!”
27 Den he sed to his followa: “Look! Yoa maddah!” An from den on, dat followa wen take her to his house.
28 Afta dis, Jesus knew dat he wen do all da tings his Faddah sed. An fo make da scripcha come tru, he sed: “I stay thirsty.”
29 Ova dea had one jar wit sour wine. So dey soak one sponge wit da sour wine an put um on one stick* an put um to his mout.
30 Afta Jesus get da sour wine, he sed: “Az all pau!” an he drop his head an mahke.*
31 It wuz da day fo prepare fo da Sabbath, an so dat da bodies no stay on da torcha pos on da Sabbath (cuz da nex day wuz one spesho Sabbath), da Jews ask Pilate fo break da legs of da guys an take da bodies away.
32 So da soldiers come an break da legs of da two guys dat wuz on each side of Jesus.
33 But wen dey get to Jesus, dey see dat he awready wen mahke, so dey neva break his legs.
34 But one of da soldiers wen stab his side wit one spear, an right away blood an watta had come out.
35 An da followa dat seen all dis wen tell about um, an wat he say iz tru. Dat guy know az da trut, an he say all dis so you can trus um.
36 In fact, dese tings happen fo da scripcha come tru: “Not even one of his bones goin get broken.”*
37 An anodda scripcha tell: “Dey goin look at da guy dey wen stab.”
38 Afta dis, Joseph from Ar·i·ma·theʹa, who wuz one secret followa of Jesus cuz he wuz sked of da Jews, ask Pilate if he could take Jesus body away. An Pilate let him take um. So he wen come an take da body.
39 Nic·o·deʹmus wen come too. He da guy from befoa dat wen go visit Jesus night time. He bring one package* of myrrh* an aloes dat weigh aroun hundred pounds.*
40 So dey take Jesus body an wrap um in linen cloths wit da spices, jus like how da Jews would do befoa dey bury somebody.
41 Jus so happen, had one garden close to wea dey wen kill* Jesus. An in da garden had one brand new tomb* dat neva wuz used befoa.
42 Cuz wuz da day da Jews prepare fo da Sabbath an da tomb wuz close by, dey put Jesus in dea.
