Wat John Wen Write 12:1-50
12 Jesus get to Bethʹa·ny six days befoa da Passova.* Dass wea Lazʹa·rus wuz, da guy Jesus wen bring back from da dead.
2 So dey make one dinna fo him ova dea. Martha wuz serving dem an Lazʹa·rus wuz one of da guys sitting wit him at da table.
3 Den Mary take one pound* of expensive perfume oil made from nard,* da real stuff. She pour um on Jesus feet an wipe um dry wit her hair. An da whole house wen smell like da perfume oil.
4 But Judas Is·carʹi·ot, one of his guys who wuz about fo stab him in da back, sed:
5 “How come dis perfume oil no wuz sold fo 300 de·narʹi·i* an den da money go to da pooa?”
6 He neva say dis cuz he wuz tinking about da pooa, but cuz he wuz one thief. He had da box dey would keep da money in an would steal from um.
7 Den Jesus sed: “No bodda her, so dat she can do dis custom an make me ready fo wen I die.
8 Da pooa guys always goin be aroun, but I not always goin be hea.”
9 Meantime, had plenny Jews dat wen find out wea Jesus wuz. Dey come not ony fo see him, but also fo see Lazʹa·rus, da guy he wen bring back from da dead.
10 Now da main pries guys make plans fo kill Lazʹa·rus too,
11 cuz plenny Jews wuz goin Bethʹa·ny an putting faith in Jesus cuz of him.
12 Da nex day plenny peopo dat wen come to da festival heard Jesus wuz coming Jerusalem.
13 So dey take branches from da palm trees an go out fo meet him, an dey start fo yell: “God, please save him! Da one who come in Jehovah’s* name stay blessed, da King of Israel!”
14 Wen Jesus find one young donkey, he sit on top um, jus like da Scripchas tell:
15 “No sked, daughtah of Zion. Try look! Yoa king stay coming, sitting on one young donkey.”
16 His guys neva undastan dese tings at firs. But wen Jesus got one higha position, dey had rememba wat da Scripchas sed an dat all dis wen happen to him.
17 All da peopo dat seen Jesus call Lazʹa·rus outa da tomb* an bring him back from da dead kept telling oddas about wat wen happen.
18 An dass how come plenny guys go see him too, cuz dey had hea about dat miracle.
19 So da Pharisees* tell each odda: “See! We not getting anywea. Try look! Da whole world stay joining him.”
20 Had some Greeks too dat wen come ova dea fo worship at da festival.
21 So dey go up to Philip, who wuz from Beth·saʹi·da in Galʹi·lee, an sed to him: “Mista, we like see Jesus.”
22 So Philip go tell Andrew. Den both of dem go tell Jesus.
23 But Jesus tell dem: “Da time stay hea fo da Son of man* get one higha position,
24 I telling you fo shua, unless one grain of wheat fall on da groun an die, goin jus stay one grain. But if die, den goin make moa grain.
25 Whoeva kea plenny about his life,* lose his life. But whoeva ready fo lose his life* in dis world, goin save um an get life dat las foeva.
26 If anybody like work fo me, let um follow me. An wea I stay, dass wea my worka goin be too. If anybody like work fo me, da Faddah goin bless him.
27 I* stay all anxious, an I donno wat fo say. Faddah, save me from wat goin happen. But nah, dass why I wen come to earth, fo dis happen.
28 Faddah, make yoa name get da respeck it deserve.” Den one voice come outa heaven dat tell: “I wen make um get da respeck it deserve an goin make um get respeck again.”
29 All da peopo standing dea heard da voice an started fo say az tunda. Oddas sed: “One angel had talk to him.”
30 Jesus sed: “Dis voice you wen hea, az not fo me, but az fo you guys.
31 God stay judging dis world an da rula of dis world goin get kick out.
32 An me, wen I get lifted up from da earth,* I goin bring all kine peopo to me.”
33 He sed dis fo show da way he wuz goin die.
34 All da peopo tell: “Da Law say dat da Christ goin live foeva. So how come you say dat da Son of man gotta get lifted up? Who dis Son of man you stay talk about?”
35 So Jesus sed to dem: “Da light goin be wit you fo litto while moa. Walk while da light stay wit you, so da darkness no take ova you. Whoeva walk in da dark donno wea he goin.
36 While you get da light wit you, show faith in da light, so dat you can come sons of light.”
Jesus sed all dis den wen dig out an hide from dem.
37 Even tho he did so much miracles in front dem, dey neva put faith in him,
38 so dat wat da prophet Isaiah wen say would come tru: “Jehovah, get anybody dat wen put faith in wat dey heard from us? An wat about Jehovah’s powa,* get anybody dat wen believe um?”
39 Da reason why dey no could believe wuz cuz of wat Isaiah sed:
40 “He let dem come blind an let dea hearts come hahd az rock, so dat dey no can see wit dea eyes an undastan wit dea hearts. So dey not goin change* an I no can save dem.”
41 Isaiah tell dis cuz he wen see da Christ in all his awesomeness.
42 But even plenny of da Jew leadas put faith in Jesus. But cuz of da Pharisees, dey neva show dey believe in him so dat dey no get kick outa da synagog.*
43 Dey love fo get praise from peopo even moa den getting praise from God.
44 But Jesus say real loud: “Whoeva put faith in me, no stay putting faith in jus me, but even in da One dat wen sen me.
45 An whoeva see me, see da One dat wen sen me too.
46 I wen come az one light in da world, so dat evrybody putting faith in me no goin stay in da dark.
47 If anybody hea da tings I tell an no do um, I not goin judge dem. Cuz I neva come fo judge da world, but fo save um.
48 Whoeva no pay attention to me an da tings I tell, get someting dat goin judge dem. Da tings I tell, dass wat goin judge dem on da las day.*
49 Cuz I neva come up wit anyting on my own, but da Faddah who wen sen me told me wat fo say an wat fo teach.
50 An I know dat wat he told me goin make peopo live foeva. So wateva I tell, I stay telling um jus like da Faddah told me.”
