Wat John Wen Write 11:1-57
11 Had one guy named Lazʹa·rus dat wuz sick. He wuz from Bethʹa·ny, wea Mary an her sistah Martha wen live too.
2 Dis da same Mary dat wen pour perfume oil on da Lord an wipe his feet wit her hair. Wuz her braddah Lazʹa·rus dat wuz sick.
3 So his sistahs wen sen somebody fo tell Jesus: “Lord! Yoa good fren stay sick.”
4 But wen Jesus hea dat, he tell: “Dis sickness not goin end wit him dying, but goin show how awesome God an da Son of God stay.”
5 Jesus wen love Martha, Mary, an Lazʹa·rus.
6 But wen he heard dat Lazʹa·rus wuz sick, he wen stay wea he wuz fo two moa days.
7 Den afta dat, he tell his guys: “We go Ju·deʹa again.”
8 His guys tell him: “Teacha, da Ju·deʹans wuz jus trying fo kill you, an you goin back dea again?”
9 Jesus tell dem: “Get 12 hours of sunlight ah? If anybody walk wen get sun, he not goin bump into notting, cuz he see da light of dis world.
10 But if anybody walk wen iz dark, he goin bump into stuff, cuz no moa light in him.”
11 Afta he tell all dis, he sed: “Oua fren Lazʹa·rus wen go sleep, but I goin dea fo wake him up.”
12 Den his guys sed to him: “Lord, if he sleeping, dass goin help him get betta.”
13 But Jesus wuz talking about Lazʹa·rus dying, an dey wuz tinking he wuz talking about Lazʹa·rus jus sleeping.
14 Jesus tell dem strait: “Lazʹa·rus wen mahke.
15 An iz good fo you dat I no wuz dea, cuz wat I goin do goin make yoa faith moa strong. We go.”
16 So Thomas, da one dey call da Twin, sed to da odda guys: “We go too, so dat we can die wit Jesus.”
17 Wen Jesus get dea, he find out Lazʹa·rus wuz in da tomb* fo four days awready.
18 Bethʹa·ny wuz ony about two miles* from Jerusalem.
19 An plenny Jews wen go to Martha an Mary fo be wit dem cuz dey los dea braddah.
20 Wen Martha hea Jesus wuz coming, she go see him. But Mary wen stay home.
21 Martha tell Jesus: “Lord, if you wuz hea, my braddah no would be dead.
22 But I still know dat wateva you ask God fo, he goin give um to you.”
23 Jesus sed to her: “Yoa braddah goin come back alive.”
24 Martha tell him: “I know he goin come back alive on da las day.”*
25 Jesus tell her: “I da one make peopo come back alive an da one dat give life. Anybody dat show faith in me, even tho he die, he goin come back alive.
26 An anybody dat stay alive an show faith in me not goin eva die. You believe dis?”
27 She tell him: “Yeah Lord, I believe you da Christ, da Son of God, da one God sed wuz goin come into da world.”
28 Afta she sed dat, she go call her sistah Mary, an she whispa to her: “Da Teacha stay hea an he asking fo you.”
29 Wen Mary hea dis, fas she get up an go to him.
30 Jesus neva come into da small town yet, but he wuz still at da place Martha had meet him.
31 Wen da Jews dat wuz taking kea Mary in her house see her get up fas an leave, dey follow her, tinking she wuz goin to da tomb fo cry.
32 Wen Mary get to wea Jesus wuz an see him, she fall down by his feet an tell him: “Lord, if you wuz hea, my braddah neva woulda died.”
33 Wen Jesus see her crying an da odda Jews wit her crying too, he wen groan cuz ony soa his heart wuz.*
34 He sed: “Wea you put him?” Dey tell um: “Lord, come see.”
35 Jesus start fo cry.*
36 Den da Jews say: “Look how much he love him!”
37 But some of dem sed: “How come he can make da blind guy see but he no could stop dis guy from dying?”
38 Jesus groan again cuz of how soa his heart wuz. Afta dat, he come to da cave wea Lazʹa·rus wuz buried. An had one stone laying agains um fo cova da opening.
39 Jesus sed: “Move da stone.” But Martha, Lazʹa·rus sistah, tell him: “He mus be haunaz awready cuz he been dead fo four days.”
40 Jesus sed to her: “I neva tell you dat if you believe, you goin see da awesome powa of God?”
41 So dey move da stone. Den Jesus look up to da sky an sed: “Faddah, I tank you dat you wen hea my praya.
42 I know you always hea me. But I wen say dis cuz of da peopo aroun me, so dat dey can believe you wen sen me.”
43 Wen he say dis, he yell real loud: “Lazʹa·rus, come outa dea!”
44 Dis guy who wuz dead wen come out wit his hands, his feet, an his face all wrap up in cloth. Jesus sed to dem: “Take all dat stuff off him an let um go.”
45 So plenny of da Jews dat come visit Mary an seen wat Jesus did wen put faith in him.
46 But some of dose guys wen go tell da Pharisees* wat he did.
47 So da Pharisees an main pries guys wen get da High Court* togedda an sed: “Wat we goin do, cuz dis guy do plenny miracles?
48 If we let um go, all da peopo goin put faith in him, den da Romans goin come an take control of oua tempo* an oua nation.”
49 But one of dem, Caʹia·phas, who wuz da main pries dat year, sed to dem: “You no undastan,
50 iz betta fo you if jus one guy die fo da peopo radda den da whole nation be wipe out.”
51 Caʹia·phas neva come up wit dis on his own, but cuz he wuz main pries dat year, God wen use him fo tell dat Jesus wuz goin die fo da nation.
52 He neva have fo die ony fo da nation, but fo God’s kids dat wuz scatta all ova too, so dat he can bring dem togedda az one.
53 So from den on, dey wuz looking fo one way fo kill Jesus.
54 So Jesus neva walk aroun wea peopo* could see him anymoa, but he leave ova dea fo go one town called Eʹphra·im dat wuz nea da boonies. An he stay dea wit his guys.
55 Da Passova* fo da Jews wuz close, an plenny peopo from da countryside wen go up Jerusalem befoa da Passova fo make demself clean like how da Law sed.
56 Dey wuz looking fo Jesus, an telling each odda az dey wuz standing by da tempo: “Wat you tink? He goin come to da festival o wat?”
57 But da Pharisees an da main pries guys wen say dat if anybody know wea Jesus, he gotta say someting, so dat dey can arrest him.
