1 Dis da start of da good news about Jesus Christ, da Son of God:
2 Jus like Isaiah da prophet wen write: “(Try look! I goin sen my messenja befoa you come, fo make tings ready fo you.)
3 Can hea somebody yelling from da boonies: “Clear da road, an make um ready fo Jehovah!””*
4 John da Baptiza wuz in da boonies, telling peopo fo get baptize fo show dey sorry fo dea sins an dat dey like God fogive dem.
5 An peopo from all ova Ju·deʹa an Jerusalem wen go out to John fo hea him talk. Dey tell how dey wen sin an jam up, an he baptize dem in da Jordan Riva.
6 Dis guy John, his clothes come from camel’s hair, he wea one ledda belt, an he eat grasshoppas an wild honey.
7 An he wuz telling: “Da guy coming afta me iz moa strong* den me. I not even good enuff fo go down an untie da string on his sandals.
8 I baptize you guys wit watta, but he goin baptize you wit powa from God.”
9 Dat time, Jesus wen come from Nazʹa·reth in Galʹi·lee an John wen baptize* him in da Jordan Riva.
10 An right afta Jesus come outa da watta, he see da sky open up an God’s powa wen come down like one dove an go on top him.
11 An den, had one voice from heaven tell: “You my Boy, da one I love, you make me real happy.”
12 Right afta dat, God wen use his powa fo make Jesus go into da boonies.
13 So he stay dea fo 40 days, an dass wea Satan try fo presha him fo do wrong. He wuz out dea wit all da wild animals, but da angels wen take kea him.
14 Afta John wen get arrested, Jesus go Galʹi·lee an tell da good news from God.
15 He say: “Da time stay hea, an God’s Govament coming pretty soon. Come sorry an have faith in da good news.”
16 Wen he wuz walking by da Sea of Galʹi·lee, he spock Simon an his braddah Andrew throwing net cuz dey wuz fishamen.
17 So Jesus sed to dem: “Come wit me, an I goin show you how fo fish fo peopo.”
18 Right den an dea, dey leave dea nets an go wit him.
19 He go litto bit moa down an see Zebʹe·dee’s boys, James an John. Dey wuz in dea boat fixing dea nets,
20 an quick Jesus tell um fo come. So dey leave dea boat an dea faddah wit da workas, an go wit him.
21 An dey go Ca·perʹna·um.
Right wen da Sabbath* start, he wen go inside da synagog* an start fo teach.
22 Had blow dea minds how good he teach, cuz he neva teach like da scribes.* Wat he teach come from God.
23 Dat time, had one guy in da synagog dat one demon wen take ova, an he yell:
24 “Eh, Jesus da Naz·a·reneʹ! Wat you hea fo? You come fo get rid of us? I know exackly who you, da Holy One God wen sen!”
25 But Jesus scold da demon an tell um: “Shut yoa mout, an come outa da guy!”
26 Afta da demon make da guy shake real hahd an yell real loud, it come outa him.
27 Da peopo no could believe wat dey see, an dey start fo talk about um wit each odda. Dey tell: “Eh! Wass dis? He teaching one new way! An he get da powa fo hemo da demons an dey lissen him! We neva seen dis befoa!”
28 So da news about Jesus wen spread fas all ova Galʹi·lee.
29 Right afta dat, dey leave da synogog an wen go Simon an Andrew’s house. James an John go too.
30 Ova dea, Simon’s maddah in law wuz in bed wit one fever. Quick dey tell Jesus about her.
31 So he go by her, hold her hand, an help her up. Her fever wen go away, an she start fo take kea dem an make dem food.
32 Wen da sun go down, da peopo start fo bring him all da guys dat wuz sick an da guys da demons wen take ova.
33 An da whole town wuz right outside da door.
34 So he wen heal plenny peopo wit all kine healt problems an hemo plenny demons. But he no let da demons talk about him, cuz dey know he da Christ.*
35 Early in da morning, wen wuz still yet dark, he wen get up an go outside. He go someplace fo be by himself, an he start fo pray.
36 But Simon an da odda guys wen go hunt him down.
37 Dey find him an tell: “Evrybody stay looking fo you.”
38 But he sed to dem: “We go someplace else. We go da towns close by so dat I can talk to da peopo ova dea about da good news, cuz dass why I wen come.”
39 Den he wen go all ova Galʹi·lee, kicking out demons from peopo an telling da good news in da synogogs.
40 Ova dea, one leper* wen come by him on his knees an beg him: “You can make me come clean if you like.”
41 Wen he see dat, he feel real sorry fo da guy, an he reach out his hand an touch him. He tell: “Yeah, I like! I goin heal you.”
42 Right den an dea, his leprosy wen disappea, an he wen come clean.
43 Den he sen um away wit one warning:
44 “Make shua you no tell nobody. But go to da pries an let him look you, an make da sacrifice fo come clean like how Moses wen tell, so dat peopo know you stay clean.”
45 But afta da guy leave, he start fo tell evrybody wat had happen. Cuz of dat, Jesus no could go into da towns witout plenny peopo rushing him, but he wen stay outside wea nobody wuz. But still yet, dey come from all ova fo look fo him.
