Wat Mark Wen Write 5:1-43
5 Den dey get to da Gerʹa·sene land on da odda side of da sea.
2 An right afta Jesus get outa da boat, one guy unda da powa of one demon* wen come from da graveyard fo meet him.
3 He live in da graveyard, an all dis time nobody wuz able fo tie him up, not even wit one chain.
4 Plenny times peopo wen chain up his hands an feet, but he snap da chains. An nobody wuz strong enuff fo control him.
5 Evry day an night, he yell in da graveyard an in da mountains an cut himself up wit rocks.
6 But wen he spock Jesus from far, he run up to him an bow down.
7 Den he yell real loud: “Eh, Jesus, da Son of da Mos High God! Wat you hea fo? Promise to God dat you not goin punish me.”
8 Cuz Jesus been telling um: “Get outa da guy, you pilau demon!”
9 But Jesus ask um: “Wass yoa name?” He tell: “Legion,* cuz get plenny of us.”
10 An he beg Jesus fo no sen dem away from dis place.
11 Had plenny pigs eating ova dea on da side of da mountain.
12 So da demons beg him: “Let us go in da pigs.”
13 So he tell dem fo go. Den da demons come outa da guy an go in da pigs, an all da pigs wen run off da cliff into da sea. Had aroun 2,000 pigs dat had drown in da watta.
14 But da pig farmas dig out an tell evrybody in da town an odda places aroun dea wat wen happen. An da peopo come fo check um out.
15 Wen dey come by Jesus, dey see da guy dat had plenny demons inside him befoa. He wuz sitting down wit clothes on an he no wuz acking all nutz anymoa. An da peopo wen come sked.
16 All dose dat seen wat happen wen tell dem about da pigs an da guy wit da demons.
17 Cuz of dat, dey beg Jesus fo go away from dea.
18 Wen he wuz getting on da boat, da guy dat had da demons befoa wen beg fo go wit him.
19 But he neva let him come. He sed to him: “Go home to yoa family an tell dem all da tings Jehovah* did fo you an how he wen show you pity.”
20 Dis guy wen go an start fo tell evrybody in da De·capʹo·lis* all da tings Jesus did fo him. An all da peopo trip out.
21 He wen get on da boat again an go da odda side of da sea. An plenny peopo come by him wen he get closa to shore.
22 Jaʹi·rus, one of da leadas of da synagog,* wen come. Wen he see Jesus, he go down on his knees in front him.
23 He beg him ova an ova: “My bebe girl stay dying.* Please come heal her so she can stay alive.”
24 Den Jesus go wit him, an plenny peopo wuz following him an pushing agains him.
25 An had one lady dat had her ma‘i* fo 12 years.
26 She spen all her money an go choke doctas fo get help an still yet she wen suffa plenny.* She neva get betta, but radda she come moa worse.
27 Wen she hea dat Jesus can heal peopo, she go thru da crowd an come up behind him an touch his clothes,
28 cuz she keep telling herself: “If I can jus touch his clothes, I goin come betta.”
29 Right den an dea her ma‘i wen stop, an she could tell dat she wuz healed from da sickness dat made her suffa plenny.
30 Right afta dat, Jesus could tell dat powa had go out from him. So he turn aroun in da crowd an ask: “Who wen touch my clothes?”
31 But his guys sed to him: “Get all dese peopo pushing agains you, an you stay ask us, “Who wen touch me?””
32 But Jesus keep looking aroun fo see who did um.
33 Da wahine wuz sked an shaking cuz she wen know wat wen happen to her. So she go down on her knees in front Jesus an tell him evryting.
34 He sed to her: “My sistah,* yoa faith wen heal you. Go, an no worry, you all good now.”
35 He wuz still talking wen some guys from Jaʹi·rus house come an tell: “Yoa girl wen mahke! No sense bodda da Teacha anymoa.”
36 But Jesus hea wat dey sed an he tell Jaʹi·rus: “No be sked, jus have faith.”
37 He neva let anybody come wit him except Peter, James, an his braddah John.
38 Wen dey get to Jaʹi·rus house, he see evrybody dea making plenny noise, crying real loud an yelling.
39 Afta he go inside, he tell dem: “Why you crying an making plenny noise fo? Da girl neva mahke, she ony sleeping.”
40 Dey tink he nutz an wen start fo laugh at him. But afta telling all dem fo go outside, he take da girl’s maddah an faddah an da guys wit him, an he go wea da girl stay.
41 Den he hold da girl’s hand an tell her: “Talʹi·tha cuʹmi,” dat mean: “Litto girl, get up!”
42 Right den an dea, she get up an start fo walk. (She wuz 12 years old.) Wen dey see dis, dey wuz so happy dey no could control demself.
43 But ova an ova he tell dem strait fo no let oddas know about dis. Den he tell um fo give her someting fo eat.
