Wat Mark Wen Write 6:1-56
6 Jesus leave dea an go da town wea he grow up, an his guys wen follow him.
2 On da Sabbath,* he start fo teach in da synagog,* an plenny peopo dat hea him wuz shock how he teach. Dey tell: “Wea dis guy learn dese tings from? How come he get dis kine smarts? An who give him da powa fo do dese miracles?
3 Dis da carpenta ah? His maddah not Mary? An his braddahs not James, Joseph, Judas, an Simon? An his sistahs, dey from hea too yeah?” Wen bodda dem plenny how he ack an no way dey wuz goin believe in him.
4 But Jesus tell dem: “One prophet get respeck evrywea, but he no get respeck from his family or wea he come from.”
5 So he no wuz able fo do dat much unreal tings ova dea. He ony wen heal some sick peopo.
6 Wen shock him dat dey neva have faith. An he wen go aroun teaching in da small towns in dat area.
7 He call his 12 guys an sen dem out in twos, an he give dem da powa* fo hemo da demons.
8 An he tell dem fo no carry notting fo da trip, ony one walking stick. No food, money, or one bag,
9 but fo wea slippas an no bring extra clothes.
10 Den he sed to dem: “Weneva you go inside one house, stay dea wit dem til you leave dat place.
11 An wea eva peopo no like take you in or lissen to you, wen you leave dea, dus off yoa feet* az one warning to dem.”
12 Den dey go out an tell peopo dat dey gotta come sorry,
13 an dey kick out plenny demons an put oil on plenny sick peopo an heal dem.
14 King Herod wen hea dis, cuz evrybody wuz talking about Jesus. Dey wuz saying: “John da Baptiza stay back from da dead, an dass why Jesus get da powa fo do all dese miracles.”
15 But odda peopo wuz saying: “He E·liʹjah.” An oddas wuz saying: “He one prophet jus like da prophets from befoa.”
16 But wen Herod hea about Jesus, he sed: “John, da guy whose head I cut off, he wen come back to life.”
17 Herod wen sen guys fo go arrest John an tie him up an put um in jail cuz of He·roʹdi·as, his braddah Philip’s wife. Herod wen marry her,
18 an John been telling Herod: “You not suppose to marry yoa braddah’s wife.”
19 So He·roʹdi·as wuz holding one grudge agains him an wanted fo kill um, but she no could.
20 Herod wuz sked of John cuz he wen know John wuz one righteous man dat worship God, so he wen proteck him. Weneva he hea John talk, he neva know wat fo do wit him, cuz he like fo lissen to him talk.
21 But one chance fo kill John had come wen Herod make his birthday party. He invite all da top officers an military guys an all da mos importan guys in Galʹi·lee.
22 An He·roʹdi·as daughtah wen come in an dance. Herod an da guys dea* wen really like da dance. Da king sed to da girl: “Ask me fo wateva, an I goin give um to you.”
23 In fact, he swear to her: “Wateva you ask me fo, I goin give um to you. I would give you half my kingdom if you like.”
24 So she leave an go ask her maddah: “Wat should I ask fo?” She sed: “John da Baptiza’s head.”
25 So real fas she run to da king fo tell him wat she like. She tell: “I like you bring me John da Baptiza’s head on one platter right now.”
26 Even tho dis wen bodda him plenny, da king wen do um, cuz he wen make one promise in front evrybody.*
27 Right away da king wen sen one of his guards fo bring John’s head to him. So his guard go in da jail an cut off his head
28 an bring da head on one platter. He give um to da girl, an da girl give um to her maddah.
29 Wen John’s followas hea dis, dey come an take his body an bury him.
30 Da aposals come by Jesus an tell um all da tings dey wen do an teach.
31 An he tell dem: “Come you guys, we go one place wea nobody stay so can res litto bit.” Cuz had so much peopo coming an goin, dey neva have time fo cruz or even eat.
32 So dey go on da boat to one place wea dey could be by demself.
33 But peopo see dem go an plenny guys wen find out. So from all da towns dey run an get dea befoa Jesus dem.
34 Wen he get outa da boat, he see all da peopo an he feel sorry fo dem, cuz dey like sheep wit nobody fo take kea dem. An he start fo teach dem plenny stuff.
35 Wuz getting late, an his guys tell him: “Stay late awready, an no moa notting ova hea.
36 Tell evrybody go, so dat dey can go in da small towns an farms aroun hea fo buy someting fo eat.”
37 Jesus tell dem: “You give dem someting fo eat.” So dey tell him: “You like us go buy 200 de·narʹi·i* worth of bread an give um to da peopo fo eat?”
38 He tell dem: “Go look how much bread you get.” Afta dey go check, dey sed: “Five loaf bread an two fish.”
39 An he tell da peopo fo go sit in groups on da green grass.
40 So dey go sit in groups of 100 an 50.
41 Jesus take da five loaf bread an two fish, an he look up to heaven an sed one praya. Afta he break up da bread, he give um to his guys fo dem give um to da peopo. He do da same ting wit da two fish.
42 So dey wen all eat til dey wuz full,
43 an dey wen colleck all da lef ovas an had fill up 12 baskets, not counting da fish.
44 Wuz 5,000 guys dat wen eat da bread.
45 Right afta dat, he made his followas go on da boat an head fo Beth·saʹi·da on da odda side, but he stay back an sen da peopo away.
46 Afta he say bye to dem, he go to one mountain fo pray.
47 Wen wuz dark, da boat wuz in da middo of da sea, but Jesus wuz by himself on land.
48 Jesus see dem getting hahd time fo row, cuz da wind wuz making da waves pound on da boat. So early in da morning,* he go walk on da watta to dem. But wen look like he wuz goin* walk right by dem.
49 Wen dey see him walking on da watta, dey tink: “Wat iz dat? We seeing tings o wat?” An dey start fo yell.
50 Cuz wen dey see him dey come all sked. But right away Jesus tell dem: “No worry! Az ony me, no be sked.”
51 Den he get in da boat wit dem, an da wind stop. All dis blow dea mind,
52 cuz dey neva get da lesson dey shoulda learned from Jesus miracle of da bread. Dey still neva undastan how much powa Jesus had.
53 Wen dey get to da odda side, dey come to Gen·nesʹa·ret an anchor da boat by da shore.
54 But az soon az dey get outa da boat, da peopo wen recognize Jesus.
55 Dey go all ova da land fo bring sick guys on stretchas to wea dey heard he wuz.
56 An wateva big an small towns an wea eva else he go, da peopo would put da sick guys in da market place, an dey would beg him fo let dem jus touch da edge of his clothes. An all da guys dat touch his clothes wen come good.
