Daniel 8:1-27
8 For the third year wey King Bel·shazʹzar de rule, them show me, Daniel, one vision after the one wey them show me before.
2 I see the vision, and as I look, I dey for Shuʹshan* the palace,* wey dey the area of Eʹlam; I see the vision, and I dey near the river* of Uʹlai.
3 As I look up, see! e get one ram wey stand for front of the river, and e get two horns. The two horns tall, but one high pass the other one, and the one wey high pass come up after.
4 I see the ram de run go attack for the west and the north and the south, and no big wicked animal fit stand for im front, and nobody dey wey fit save anybody from im power.* E do as e like and raise imself high.
5 As I continue to look, see! e get one male goat wey de come from the west* de pass ontop the whole earth and e no de touch ground. And between the goat eyes, e get one horn wey person fit see well.
6 E de come meet the ram wey get the two horns wey I be don see de stand for front of the river; e de run come meet-am with strong vex.
7 I see-am say e don de run come near the ram, and vex just full im body for the ram. E hit the ram and break im two horns, and the ram no get any power to fight with-am. E throw the ram for ground and march-am down, and nobody dey to save the ram from im power.*
8 Then the male goat raise imself high no be small, but as e just get power, the great horn break; then four horns wey person fit see well come up instead of one, and them face the four directions* of the heavens.
9 Another horn come out from one of them, na small one, and e grow sotey e really dey great. E face the south and face the east* and face the Beautiful Land.*
10 E grow and really dey great, sotey e reach the army of the heavens and e make some of the army and some of the stars fall come the earth, and e march them down.
11 E even raise imself high against the Prince of the army, and take the sacrifice wey them de do everytime* comot from the Prince, and the place wey stand strong for the Prince holy place, e throw-am down.
12 And them put one army for im hand together with the sacrifice wey them de do everytime* because of sin; and e continue to throw truth for ground, and e do things and succeed.
13 And I hear one holy person de talk, and another holy person tell the one wey de talk say: “How long the vision of the sacrifice wey them de do everytime,* and the sin wey de cause destruction go continue, to make both the holy place and the army to be things wey them de march?”
14 So e tell me say: “Until 2,300 evenings and mornings; and them go surely bring the holy place back to the correct condition wey e suppose dey.”
15 As me, Daniel, de look the vision and de try to understand-am, at once I see person wey stand for my front wey be like man.
16 Then I hear the voice of one man de come from the middle of Uʹlai river, and e talk say: “Gaʹbri·el, make that person understand wetin e see.”
17 So e come near where I de stand, but when e come I fear sotey I lie down face ground. E tell me say: “O son of man, understand say the vision na for the time of the end.”
18 But as e de talk with me, sleep carry me go as I lie down face ground. So e touch me and make me stand up for where I be de stand.
19 Then e talk say: “See I de make you know wetin go happen for the last part of the judgment, because the vision na for the correct time, the time of the end.
20 “The ram wey get two horns wey you see represent the kings of Meʹdi·a and Persia.
21 The male goat wey hair full im body represent the king of Greece; and the great horn wey dey between im eyes represent the first king.
22 As for the horn wey them break and wey four horns stand up instead of-am, four kingdoms from im nation go stand up, but their power no go reach im own.
23 “And for the ending part of their kingdom, when the sin of the sinners don complete,* one wicked king wey de understand words wey get double meaning* go stand up.
24 Im power go dey great, but no be by im own power. E go bring destruction wey really big,* and e go succeed and do wetin e want do well. E go destroy powerful people, even the people wey be the holy ones.
25 And because of im cunning-cunning, e go use lie-lie succeed; and for im heart, e go raise imself high; and for time wey people de feel safe,* e go destroy plenty people. E go even stand up against the Prince of princes, but them go break-am and no be with human hand.
26 “Wetin them talk for the vision about the evenings and the mornings na true, but you must keep the vision secret, because the time wey the vision de talk about na plenty days from now.”*
27 As for me, Daniel, I weak no be small and I sick for some days. Then I get up and do the king work; but I no just feel myself again because of wetin I don see, and nobody fit understand-am.
