Daniel 7:1-28
7 For the first year of Bel·shazʹzar wey be king of Babylon, Daniel see one dream and visions wey come im head as e lie down ontop im bed. Then e write the dream down; e write everything wey e see complete.
2 Daniel talk say:
“I be de look wetin de happen for my visions for night, and see! the breeze wey de blow from the four corners of the heavens de shake the big sea with force.
3 And four big animals come out from the sea, and the four of them dey different from each other.
4 “The first one be like lion, and e get eagle wings. I look until them pluck im wings comot and them raise-am up from the earth and make-am stand up with two legs like man, and them give-am man heart.
5 “And see! another animal, the second one, be like bear. Them raise one of im side up, and three ribs dey im mouth between im teeth; and them tell-am say, ‘Get up, chop plenty flesh.’
6 “After this one, I continue to look, and see! another animal wey be like leopard, but e get four wings like bird own for im back. And the animal get four heads, and them give-am authority to rule.
7 “After this one, I continue to look wetin de happen for the visions of the night, and I see the fourth animal wey fit make person shock well-well and put serious fear for person body and e overstrong no be small, and e get big iron teeth. E de chop everything wey e see and de break them to pieces, and wetin remain e de use im legs march-am scatter. E dey different from all the other animals wey dey before-am, and e get ten horns.
8 As I de look the horns well, see! another horn, wey be small one come out among them. And them pluck three of the first horns comot from im front. And see! eyes wey be like person eyes dey this horn, and e get mouth wey de boast.*
9 “I continue to look until them arrange thrones and the Person Wey Don Dey Since Olden Days sitdown. Im cloth white like snow, and the hair wey dey im head be like clean wool. Im throne na fire; the wheels of the throne na fire wey de burn.
10 Fire wey be like stream de flow come out from im front. One thousand times thousands of angels continue to serve-am, and ten thousand times ten thousand stand for im front. Everybody for the Court sitdown, and them open books.
11 “I continue to look that time because of the sound of the things wey the horn de talk to use boast;* I look until them kill the animal and destroy im body and throw-am make e burn for inside the fire.
12 But as for the rest of the animals, them take their rulership comot, and them make them continue to live for one time and one season.
13 “I continue to look wetin de happen for the visions of the night, and see! somebody wey be like son of man de come with the clouds of the heavens; and them allow-am to enter the place wey the Person Wey Don Dey Since Olden Days dey, and them bring-am near the front of that One.
14 And them give-am rulership, honor, and kingdom, say make all the people, nations, and language groups serve-am. Im rulership na rulership wey go last forever, wey no go pass comot, and nothing go destroy im kingdom.
15 “As for me, Daniel, my spirit worry me because the visions wey de come my head really make me fear.
16 I go meet one of the people wey stand there to ask-am wetin this things really mean. So e answer and tell me wetin this things mean.
17 “‘This big animals wey be four, na four kings wey go stand up from the earth.
18 But the holy ones of the Person Wey Big Pass go get the kingdom, and the kingdom go be their own forever, yes, forever and ever.’
19 “Then I want know more about the fourth animal, wey different from all the other ones; e de really make person overfear, e get iron teeth and copper nails, and e de chop everything wey e see and de break them to pieces, and e de use im leg march wetin remain;
20 and about the ten horns ontop im head, and the other horn wey come out and wey three horns fall for im front, the horn wey get eyes and mouth wey de boast,* and wey be say the way e be, big pass the other ones.
21 “I continue to look as that horn de fight war against the holy ones, and e de win them,
22 until the Person Wey Don Dey Since Olden Days come and judge to favor the holy ones of the Person Wey Big Pass, and the correct time come for the holy ones to take the kingdom as their own.
23 “This one na wetin e talk: ‘As for the fourth animal, e get one fourth kingdom wey go come dey for the earth. E go dey different from all the other kingdoms, and e go chop all the earth and march-am scatter and break-am to pieces.
24 As for the ten horns, ten kings go stand up from that kingdom and another one go still stand up after them, and e go dey different from the first ones, and e go disgrace three kings.
25 E go talk things against the Person Wey High Pass and e go continue to make trouble for the holy ones of the Person Wey Big Pass. E go want change times and law, and them go put the holy ones for im hand for one time, times, and half time.*
26 But everybody for the Court sitdown, and them take im rulership comot so that them go finish-am and destroy-am kpatakpata.
27 “‘And them give the kingdom and the rulership and the power of the kingdoms wey dey under all the heavens to the people wey be the holy ones of the Person Wey Big Pass. Their kingdom na kingdom wey go last forever, and all kingdoms go serve and obey them.’
28 “This one na the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, the things wey dey my mind make me fear no be small, sotey my skin color change;* but I keep the matter for inside my own heart.”
