I have not seen anyone righteous abandoned.—Ps. 37:25.

Some of Jehovah servants can suffer because of old age, sickness, or other problems. It can make them to feel that they not useful to Jehovah again. Sometime they can think on this question, ‘I wonder I still useful to Jehovah?’ The psalmist was thinking the same way too. So he pray: “Do not abandon me when my strength fails.” (Ps. 71:9, 18) But he was convince that if he remain faithful, Jehovah will continue to guide him and help him. The psalmist learn that Jehovah can be happy with those who doing their best to serve Him, even though they going through problems. (Ps. 37:23-25) If you old person, think about how Jehovah feel about you. He can still help you to continue serving him, even though you not looking the way you use to be before. (Ps. 92:12-15) Instead of focusing on what you not able to do again, focus on what you able to do now-now. w24.10 28 ¶14-16

“Concerning the eating of food offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world.”—1 Cor. 8:4.

Most of the time, Christian who not mature can find it hard to think on Bible principles and apply them when they facing certain situation. When they not get direct law in the Bible, some of them can just feel that they can do anything they want do. Even when they not get direct law in the Bible for certain situation, some people can still ask for it. For example, Christians in Corinth ask the apostle Paul for direct law about whether they can eat food that they sacrifice to idol. Instead of telling them what to do, Paul help them to see that each of them get the right to choose what they want do base on their conscience. He talk about some Bible principles that were coming to help them make good decisions. And they were not coming stumble other people and get guilty conscience because of their decisions. (1 Cor. 8:7-9) Paul was helping them to grow to be mature Christians. He was trying to help them to use their own thinking to make decision instead of depending on other people or looking for direct law. w24.04 5 ¶14

“I, Jehovah, am searching the heart . . . to give to each one according to his ways.”—Jer. 17:10.

In Jonah day, the Ninevites were having the opportunity to repent. Also, remember what Jesus say about the “resurrection of judgment.” It will be for “those who practiced vile things.” (John 5:29) So maybe some of the people in Sodom and Gomorrah get hope too. It possible that at least some of them will be resurrected, and maybe we will get the opportunity to teach them about Jehovah and Jesus Christ. Jehovah always been “searching the heart, examining the innermost thoughts.” So in the future when Jehovah decide who he will resurrect, he will “give to each one according to his ways.” When it necessary, Jehovah will take action against wicked people but he will show mercy when it possible. So we must never say that somebody will not be resurrected except we know that the Bible say it! w24.05 5-6 ¶15-16

“Do not be afraid. I will help you.”—Isa. 41:13.

Way back, God message gave his servants the strength when they were having difficult work to do. Take for example, the prophet Jeremiah. He was worry when Jehovah gave him the assignment to preach. Jeremiah say: “I do not know how to speak, for I am just a boy.” (Jer. 1:6) What help him to get the courage to preach? That the encouragement God gave him. So Jeremiah say: “It became like a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was tired of holding it in.” (Jer. 20:8, 9) Even though the people in Jeremiah territory never wanted to listen, but he got strength from the message God give him to preach. We can get strength from what we read in God word the Bible. The apostle Paul say that learning the truth about God will help them “to walk worthily of Jehovah” as they continue “bearing fruit in every good work.”—Col. 1:9, 10. w24.04 14-15 ¶2-4

“Zadok the priest . . . anointed Solomon.”—1 Ki. 1:39.

Zadok continue to stick to Jehovah even though High Priest Abiathar not remain faithful and he choose to support David son Adonijah, who try to make himself king. David knew that he could always trust Zadok. When Adonijah plan fail, David choose Zadok, Nathan, and Benaiah to make Solomon king. (1 Ki. 1:32-34) The example of Nathan who stick to Jehovah and other people who support King David, really encourage Zadok. When they make Solomon king, he “appointed Zadok the priest in place of Abiathar.” (1 Ki. 2:35) How you can be like Zadok? If somebody you close to decide to leave Jehovah, make it clear that you on Jehovah side. (Josh. 24:15) Jehovah will give you the strength and the courage you need to do the right thing. Pray to Jehovah and remain close to your brothers and sisters who loyal to Him. Jehovah can value you when you stick to him, and he will bless you for it.—2 Sam. 22:26. w24.07 6-7 ¶16-17

“Let us not give up in doing what is fine.”—Gal. 6:9.

Psalm 15:2 describe God friend as “the one who is walking faultlessly, practicing what is right.” The words “walking” and “practicing” show that something we must continue doing. But we really able to ‘walk faultlessly’? Yes. Even though no human being perfect, but if we do our best to obey Jehovah, he will look at us to be “walking faultlessly.” When we give our life to God and get baptize, we just starting to walk with him. For example, way back, just because somebody was Israelite not mean he was Jehovah guest. Some of them use to worship him but it was not “in truth and righteousness.” (Isa. 48:1) Israelites who really wanted to be Jehovah guests, suppose to learn about his laws and follow them. That the same way today, to get close friendship with Jehovah not only depend on getting baptize and worshiping Jehovah with our brothers and sisters. But we must continue “practicing what is right.” w24.06 9 ¶4; 10 ¶6

“Become imitators of God.”—Eph. 5:1.

What some ways Jehovah show that he free-handed? Let look at some examples. Jehovah can give us the material thing them we need. That true, maybe we will not always get everything we want, but we tell Jehovah thank you plenty for giving us what we really need. For example, he can make it possible for us to get food, clothes, and place to live. (Ps. 4:8; Matt. 6:31-33; 1 Tim. 6:6-8) You think Jehovah can give us what we need because he force to do it? No! Let see what Jesus say in Matthew 6:25, 26. Talking about the birds he say: “They do not sow seed or reap or gather into storehouses.” But notice the next thing he say: “Your heavenly Father feeds them.” Then Jesus ask: “Are you not worth more than they are?” What the lesson? If Jehovah can take care of the animal them, we can be sure that he will give us what we need! Because Jehovah love his people, he can provide what they need just like father who care for his family.—Ps. 145:16; Matt. 6:32. w24.09 26-27 ¶4-6

“The men who minister in a fine manner are acquiring for themselves a fine standing and great freeness of speech in the faith.”—1 Tim. 3:13.

Ministerial servant that baptize brother who holy spirit can appoint to help the elder dem to do some small-small work in the congregation. But the most important one, ministerial servants that men dem who really love Jehovah and trying their best to live by his laws. And they get deep love for their brothers and sisters. (Matt. 22:37-39) Wetin baptize brothers can do to be ministerial servant? The Bible tell us what brothers can do to be ministerial servants. (1 Tim. 3:8-10, 12) You can try to be ministerial servant by studying the Bible verse dem that talk about it and then working hard to do what it say. But first, it good to know the reason why you want be ministerial servant. w24.11 15 ¶4-5

“You accepted it not as the word of men but, just as it truthfully is, as the word of God.”—1 Thess. 2:13.

Some people say they na read the Bible plenty time. But you think they really believe what it say? Or you think they can do what it say or allow it to change their life? Sad to say, the answer that no. But it different from the way Jehovah people can treat the Bible! We can try to allow the Bible to change our life. But still it not always easy to read the Bible and do what it say. Sometime it can be hard to find time to read the Bible. Or maybe we can rush when we reading the Bible, so it can be hard for us to think on what we read. Maybe we will feel discourage because we get plenty things to work on. No matter the problem you facing, don’t feel that you not able to overcome it. With Jehovah help, you can make it. Let all of us continue to do what the Bible say. We convince that the more we read the Bible and do what it say, that the more we will be happy.—Jas. 1:25. w24.09 7 ¶15-16

Continue asking, and you will get it.—Luke 11:9.

Jehovah can use his holy spirit to comfort us when bad thing happen to us. If you really feeling bad because of what happen to you, tell Jehovah how you feeling. And you can spend any amount of time talking with him. (Ps. 86:3; 88:1) Ask Jehovah over and over for his holy spirit. And he will give it to you. Any bad thing na happen to you before that make you feel that you not get strength to do anything? Then the holy spirit can give you strength to continue worshipping Jehovah and remain faithful. (Eph. 3:16) After you ask Jehovah for his holy spirit, wetin you must do? Do things that will make God holy spirit to help you. Some of the thing them you can do that to go to meetings and preach to other people. Think the way Jehovah can think by reading the Bible every day. (Phil. 4:8, 9) When you reading the Bible, try to see what problems some people went through and think on how Jehovah help them to bear it. w24.10 9 ¶12-14

“God love the world so much.”—John 3:16.

Like Jehovah and his Son, we love people. (Prov. 8:31) We can really feel sorry for people who not know God, and they not get any hope. (Eph. 2:12) It looking just like they in deep hole because of the plenty problems. And we get the rope to haul them outside. That rope that the good news about God Kingdom. Because we get love and sorrowful heart for them, it can make us to try our best to preach to them. That important message can give them hope, help them to be happy now-now and give them the opportunity for “the real life”, everlasting life in God new world. (1 Tim. 6:19) Our love for people will also move us to warn them that this wicked world will soon be destroy. (Ezek. 33:7, 8) We want them to know what will happen during the great tribulation. First, false religion will be destroy. Then, this wicked world will be destroy during Armageddon. (Rev. 16:14, 16; 17:16, 17; 19:11, 19, 20). w24.05 16-17 ¶8-9

“Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written:“‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay ,’ says Jehovah.”— Rom. 12:19.

When the apostle Paul encourage Christians to “yield place to the wrath,” that who wrath he wor talking about? The other verse dem around this verse show that Jehovah wrath. To yield place to the wrath mean to allow Jehovah to bring justice in his own time and in his own way. After one brother name John suffer from injustice, he say: “I fight hard to stop myself from solving the problem my own way. Romans 12:19 help me to wait on Jehovah.” We can benefit when we wait for Jehovah to solve the problem. If we do it, we will save our self from the frustration and the stress that can come from solving problem our own way. Jehovah promise to help us. It just like he telling us, ‘Leave the injustice with me; I will take care of everything.’ If we trust Jehovah promise that say “I will repay,” we can leave matter in his hand, and be convince that he will handle it the best way. w24.11 6 ¶14-15

“Give us the food we need every day.”—Luke 11:3.

We must not make material things the most important thing in our life. The apostle Paul made this point clear when he wor writing to the Christians who wor living during the time the Jewish system wor coming end. He talk about the bad example the Israelite dem set when they wor in the wilderness and what happen near Mount Sinai. He warn Christians “not to desire injurious things, as [the Israelites] desired them.” (1 Cor. 10:6, 7, 11) Jehovah perform miracle to provide food for the Israelite dem. But because they wor greedy, it wor looking just like bad thing to them. (Num. 11:4-6, 31-34) And from what happen the time they made the golden calf, it show that they wor just concern about eating, drinking, and having good time. (Ex. 32:4-6) Paul use their experience to warn the Christians who wor living before the time the Jewish system wor coming end in 70 C.E. We our self too living during the time this system coming end. So we must take Paul warning serious. w24.12 6 ¶13

“Rejoice with the wife of your youth.”—Prov. 5:18.

Jehovah that happy God, and he want us to be happy too. (1 Tim. 1:11) He na give us plenty gifts that can help us to enjoy life. (Jas. 1:17) One of them that marriage. When man and woman get marry, they promise to love, respect, and value each other. When they continue to get close friendship with each other, it can make them happy. Sad to say, plenty marry people not sticking to the promise they made on their wedding day. For that reason, they not happy. How Jehovah expect husband to treat their wife? Jehovah tell husbands to honor their wife. To honor somebody mean, to treat them with respect. Husband who can honor his wife will be kind to her and show her love.—1 Pet. 3:7. w25.01 8 ¶1-2; 9 ¶4-5

“Jehovah is my helper; I will not be afraid.”—Heb. 13:6.

It clear that the letter the apostle Paul write to the Hebrew Christians help them to be prepare for the problem they were coming face. Paul encourage them to study and understand the Scriptures good-good. Doing this one will help them to know and stay away from any teachings that will make their faith weak. He encourage them to make their faith strong so they will be quick to follow the direction from Jesus and from those taking the lead in the congregation. He help Christians to see the benefit that can come when they endure. And he also help them to see their problems as opportunity for their loving Father to train them. Let all of us follow this good advice from the Bible. Then we will endure and remain faithful to the end.—Heb. 3:14. w24.09 13 ¶17, 19

“We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.”—Heb. 10:10.

According to the Bible, ransom that the price God pay to forgive our sins and for us to be his friends again. In Jehovah eye, the ransom make it possible for us to get back what Adam lost. In what way? Remember that Adam and Eve lost their perfect life and the opportunity to live forever. So the ransom price suppose to be equal to what Adam lost. (1 Tim. 2:6) But who could pay the ransom? Well, only one man who wor (1) perfect, (2) able to live forever on earth, and (3) willing to give or sacrifice his life for us. Let see three reasons why Jesus wor able to pay the ransom. (1) He wor perfect and he not commit any sin. (1 Pet. 2:22) (2) Because of that, he wor able to live on earth forever. (3) He wor willing to die and give his life for us.—Heb. 10:9. w25.02 4-5 ¶11-12

“God can’t give his spirit small-small.”—John 3:34.

Jehovah love you and he want you to be part of his family. He will help you no matter what kindna problem want stop you from getting baptize. Jesus tell some of his disciple dem say: “If yor get faith just like the size of the mustard seed, yor will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here, and go over there,’ and it will move, and you will be able to do anything.” (Matt. 17:20) The disciple dem who wor there and hear Jesus talking this one, been with him for short time, so their faith still needed to grow. But Jesus tell them that if they get strong faith, Jehovah will help them to overcome any problem that big just like mountain. And Jehovah will help you to do the same thing! If you see any problem that stopping you from getting baptize, try to overcome it quick-quick. Give your life to Jehovah and get baptize. That the best decision you can ever make! w25.03 7 ¶18-20

“Jehovah is on my side; I will not be afraid.”—Ps. 118:6.

We can bear any problem if we remember that the living God always ready to help us. We can make our trust strong that Jehovah will help us by thinking about what he na do in the past. (Isa. 37:17, 33-37) Also, read or watch experiences on jw.org about how Jehovah na help his people in our time. And also think about the time them Jehovah help you. But to talk the true, Jehovah na do plenty things for you in your life! He na invite you to be his friend. (John 6:44) So ask Jehovah to help you remember the time them he answer your prayers. And how gave you the exact thing you needed at the right time when you were going through serious problems. Thinking on experience them like this will make you more sure that Jehovah will continue to help you. w24.06 21 ¶8

That the reason why everybody can die, because all of them na sin.—Rom. 5:12.

We not want do anything that will make us to leave Jehovah. But, we not perfect and we can always face temptation to do the wrong thing. (Rom. 7:21-23) Sometime, when we not expecting it, we can find our self in situation that can make bad thing to be looking good. To continue sticking to Jehovah and his Son, we must follow Jesus advice to protect our self when we face temptation to sin. All of us can face temptation to sin. But all us get different-different weakness, so each of us get certain thing that can really tempt us. For example, somebody can be fighting hard to not put their hand in boyfriend and girlfriend business. Maybe another person fighting the temptation to do something wrong, like playing with their private parts, or looking at naked man and naked woman picture or video. And maybe somebody else fighting against fear of man, pride, quick temper, or something else. w24.07 14 ¶3; 15 ¶5

Kindly forgive and comfort him, so that he may not be overwhelmed by excessive sadness.—2 Cor. 2:7.

Think about what wor coming happen if the elder dem refuse to allow the man who na repent to come back in the congregation. Or suppose he come back and the congregation refuse to show him love? He wor really coming to feel bad and discourage. It wor coming be easy for him to feel that he not get any hope. And maybe he wor even coming to stop trying to get close friendship with Jehovah again. If the other brother and sister dem in the congregation refuse to forgive the person who sin, it can make them to lost their own friendship with Jehovah. Why? Because they will not be following Jehovah example to forgive somebody who na repent, but they will be following Satan who can’t show mercy. They will allow the Devil to use them to discourage the person from serving Jehovah again.—2 Cor. 2:10, 11; Eph. 4:27. w24.08 17 ¶7, 10-11

When he ascended on high . . . , he gave gifts in men.—Eph. 4:8.

Jesus Christ gave “gifts in men” to help the congregation in another way. Jesus use the elders in Jerusalem to send Paul, Barnabas, and other men them to serve as traveling overseers. (Acts 11:22) Why? For the same reason that they can appoint ministerial servants and elders: to encourage the congregations. (Acts 15:40, 41) Circuit overseers can always move from place to place. Some of them can travel far-far distance from congregation to congregation. Every week, circuit overseer can give talks, go on shepherding visits, conduct pioneer meeting, elders meeting, and meetings for field service. He can prepare talks and organize circuit assemblies and conventions. He can also teach pioneer schools, arrange special meeting for pioneers in the circuit, and sometime do other work them that the branch office want him to do quick. w24.10 21 ¶12-13

“I will forgive their error, and I will no longer remember their sin.”—Jer. 31:34.

Jehovah tell the prophet Jeremiah what the theme scripture for today daily text say. When the apostle Paul wor talking about this same thing he say, “I will no longer call their sins to mind.” (Heb. 8:12) But what it really mean? In the Bible, the word “remember” not always mean thinking about something that happen before. But it also mean taking action. The criminal who wor hanging on the stake tell Jesus say: “Jesus, remember me when you get into your Kingdom.” (Luke 23:42, 43) He wor not just asking Jesus to think about him during that time. The answer Jesus gave show that he will take action to bring the criminal back to life. So when Jehovah say that he will not remember our sins, he mean that he will not take action against us. He will not punish us in the future for the sins that he na forgive. w25.02 10-11 ¶14-15

Knowledge of the Most Holy One is understanding.”—Prov. 9:10.

True understanding can come from knowing Jehovah good-good ways, his purpose, and what he love or what he hate. Ask yourself, ‘Base on what I know about Jehovah, what decision I can make that will make him happy?’ (Eph. 5:17) To make Jehovah happy, sometime we need to make decision that will make our family member dem to feel bad. For example, some parents can get good intention for their daughter. So maybe they will put pressure on her to marry rich man or somebody who will pay plenty money to dowry her even though he not strong in the truth. That true, they want their daughter to live good life. But she must ask herself: This man will help me to get strong friendship with Jehovah? How Jehovah feel about the matter? We can find the answer in Matthew 6:33. This verse encourage Christians to continue to “put the Kingdom first.” Even though we want respect our parents and the people in our community, our main concern must be to make Jehovah happy. w25.01 17 ¶9-10

The Lord stood near me and infused power into me.—2 Tim. 4:17.

We need Jehovah help to continue preaching with zeal when people go against us. (Rev. 12:17) Why you can be sure that Jehovah will help you? Let look at Jesus prayer in John chapter 17. Jesus beg Jehovah to watch over the apostle dem and Jehovah answer that prayer. The book of Acts show how he help the apostle dem to preach with zeal even though people wor persecuting them. When he wor praying, he also beg Jehovah to watch over the people who will put faith in the thing dem the apostles wor preaching. And you part of it too. Jehovah still answering Jesus prayer today, so He will help you just how He help the apostle dem. (John 17:11, 15, 20) The way the end near now, we know that it will not be easy to preach the good news with zeal. But we can be sure that we will get all the help we need.—Luke 21:12-15. w25.03 18 ¶13-14

“My servants will shout joyfully.”—Isa. 65:14.

God people can be “so happy” because they grateful to him. The encouraging truths and comforting promises in the Bible and the sure hope we get because of Jesus Christ ransom sacrifice, can make us “happy and satisfy.” When we talk about this thing them, it can really make us happy! (Ps. 34:8; 133:1-3) The two important things we can see among Jehovah people in this spiritual paradise, that love and unity. This “love and unity” we get among ourselves just show how life will be looking in the new world, where Jehovah people will enjoy more love and unity. (Col. 3:14) Anybody who really want be happy and satisfy need to be in our spiritual paradise. No matter how people feel about Jehovah Witnesses, we get good name with Jehovah and all those who serving him.—Isa. 65:15. w24.04 21 ¶7-8

“Keep . . . building one another up.”—1 Thess. 5:11.

How all of us can support single Christians who want get marry? One way that to be careful about what we say. (Eph. 4:29) Ask yourself: ‘I can tease people who want get marry? When I see single brother and single sister talking, I can just conclude that they dating?’ (1 Tim. 5:13) Also, we must never make single Christians to feel that something wrong with them just because they not marry. It will be better for us to look for opportunities to tell single Christians thank you! Suppose we think that certain brother and certain sister will be good together when they marry? The Bible tell us to think about other people feelings. (Rom. 15:2) Plenty single people not like for other people to find marriage mate for them, and we must respect their decision. (2 Thess. 3:11) For other people, they will want for us to help them. But they must ask us first before we do it.—Prov. 3:27. w24.05 24-25 ¶14-15

“Their rock is not like our Rock.”—Deut. 32:31.

Sometime we can face problem them that we not expecting that can make things hard for us or even change our life all together. We really grateful that we can rely on Jehovah God for help! When we receive his help, it can convince us that “Jehovah is alive!” (Ps. 18:46) But right after David finish saying that Jehovah living, he call God “my Rock.” Why David compare Jehovah to rock, something that not get life? The Bible compare Jehovah to “rock” to help us understand some of his quality them. Most of the time in the Bible, when God servants praising him, they can compare him to rock to show that he not get equal. The first time the Bible call Jehovah “the Rock” that in Deuteronomy 32:4. When Hannah was praying, she say, “there is no rock like our God.” (1 Sam. 2:2) Habakkuk call Jehovah “my Rock.” (Hab. 1:12) The person who write Psalm 73 call God “the rock of my heart.” (Ps. 73:26) And even Jehovah call himself rock. .—Isa. 44:8. w24.06 26 ¶1, 3

“Jehoshaphat . . . searched for Jehovah with all his heart.”—2 Chron. 22:9.

The Israelites king them who made Jehovah happy use to worship him with their whole heart. The Bible say this one about Josiah: “There was no king like him prior to him, who returned to Jehovah with all his heart.” (2 Ki. 23:25) What about Solomon who do bad things later on? The Bible say, “His heart was not complete.” (1 Ki. 11:4) And the Bible say this one about Abijam, another king who was not faithful: “His heart was not complete with Jehovah.” (1 Ki. 15:3) Most of the time when the Bible use the word “heart”, it talking about the way the person looking inside. It include the thing them the person want do, their thinking, behavior, what they able to do, their reason for doing things and their goals in life. So what it mean to serve Jehovah with your whole heart? Somebody who can worship God with their whole heart can’t worship him just because they feel that they suppose to do it. But the person can do it because he get deep love and respect for Jehovah throughout his life. w24.07 21 ¶4-5

Wipe away all my errors.—Ps. 51:9.

Jehovah use example to show how he can erase our sin. He say: “I will blot out your transgressions as with a cloud and your sins as with a thick cloud.” (Isa. 44:22) When Jehovah forgive us, it just like he using thick cloud to hide our sin so that people can’t see it again. Wetin this example teach us? It teach us that when Jehovah forgive our sins, we must not continue feeling guilty for the rest of our life. Jesus sacrifice cancel our sins altogether. It can be just like we never even commit that sin. That just what true forgiveness from Jehovah mean when we repent from our sins. Jehovah mercy can also make us to get good friendship with him. It can help us to not continue feeling guilty. w25.02 10 ¶11-14

God in his kindness is trying to lead you to repentance.—Rom. 2:4.

The elders who will be on this committee dem get the responsibility to keep the congregation clean. (1 Cor. 5:7) But they also want people who sin to repent, if it possible. And when they helping that person, they must get hope that the person will change. Why? Because they want be like Jehovah who “very tender in affection and merciful.” (Jas. 5:11) And that just how the apostle John show love to his brothers and sisters. He say: “My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not commit a sin. And yet, if anyone does commit a sin, we have a helper with the Father, Jesus Christ, a righteous one.” (1 John 2:1) Sad to say, sometime somebody who sin can refuse to repent. If that one happen, they must move that person from the congregation. w24.08 25 ¶19-20

Stand firm in the faith.—1 Cor. 16:13.

But sometime, you can want compare what you able to do with what other people can do. But don’t do it! Why? Because Jehovah can’t compare us with other people. (Gal. 6:4) For example, Mary gave Jesus one expensive perfume oil. (John 12:3-5) But the widow in the temple give small money for contribution. (Luke 21:1-4) But Jesus say two of them were having faith. This one just show that his Pa, Jehovah can value anything you do for him, even if you feel that it small. Sometime, all of us can’t be sure about something. But, God Word the Bible, can help us to overcome that feeling. Then you will be convince and it will not discourage you. Jehovah know you good-good. He grateful for any sacrifice you make and he will bless you for it. Jehovah love and care for each of his faithful servants. w24.10 25 ¶3; 29 ¶17-18
