Introduction
THE PURPOSE OF THIS PUBLICATION
Jehovah God urges his people to “keep searching” for understanding and discernment, as though they were looking for “hidden treasures.” (Prov. 2:1-5) This means that we need to exert ourselves to search for answers to our Bible questions and to find help for our personal concerns in life. The Research Guide is designed to assist you in your search.
This is not a comprehensive index that lists every subject that has been discussed in our publications. However, for each topic that is listed, there are references to current and relevant information in our printed publications, in digital-only articles on jw.org, and in videos.
HOW TO START YOUR SEARCH
This publication contains two types of references. First, you can look for information according to subject. Main headings are listed alphabetically. In each heading, there are subheadings and sub-subheadings to guide your research. For example, under DAVID (King) › LESSONS › ANXIETY, you will find lessons about anxiety from the life of David.
Second, you can find information about specific Bible verses under the headings organized by scripture. Only verses that are explained in some way are included in this listing.
For further information, watch the video entitled Tutorial for Successfully Using the “Research Guide” on jw.org.
Remember, your search for hidden treasures will take time and effort. So be patient when looking for the specific answer or direction that you are seeking. The more you use this Research Guide, the easier and more enjoyable it will be for you to find the information that you need. Jehovah will reward your efforts and help you find wisdom and understanding.—Prov. 2:6; 4:5.
