An ancient people occupying territory on Ephraim’s boundary when the Israelites moved into the Promised Land. (Jos 16:3) There is no historical evidence linking the Japhletites with the descendant of Asher who was named Japhlet. (1Ch 7:30, 32) Secular history provides no additional information about them.
