On June 29, 2026, the Rudnichniy District Court of Prokopyevsk convicted Sister Irina Shishkina and gave her a suspended prison sentence of four years. She is not required to go to prison at this time.

Personal Comments

What has helped you to build courage during this difficult time?

Since the persecution began, I have developed the habit of writing out Bible verses that inspire and encourage me. I especially appreciate verses that illustrate how Jehovah has supported his servants in the past. One of my favorites is Deuteronomy 31:8: “Jehovah is the one marching before you, and he will continue with you. He will neither desert you nor abandon you. Do not be afraid or be terrified.” These words fill me with the courage I need to face interrogations and attend court hearings. I always pray that Jehovah will march before me. He continues to give me strength, peace, and calmness. I am convinced that Jehovah loves his servants and will never abandon them.

We are confident that Jehovah will continue to support and strengthen his people as we faithfully endure the challenges of these last days.—Exodus 14:13.
