Isaiah 13:1-22
13 One strong message against Babylon wey Isaiah the son of Aʹmoz see for vision:
2 “Raise one sign* ontop mountain wey nothing de grow ontop-am.
Call them, wave una hand,So that them fit come the domot of important people.
3 I don give the command to people wey I don choose.*
I don call my soldiers to show my vex,My people wey de raise shoulder and de happy.
4 Listen! People* de make noise for the mountains;E be like sound of plenty people!
Listen! Na the noise of kingdoms,Of nations wey gather together!
Jehovah of armies de gather the army for war.
5 Them de come from far-far land,From the end of the heavens,Jehovah and the weapons wey e de use pour im vex,To destroy all the earth.
6 Cry loud, because the day of Jehovah don near!
E go come from the Almighty to destroy things.
7 Na because of this one everybody hand go weak,And the heart of everybody go melt because of fear.
8 Strong fear don catch the people.
Sharp and serious pain hold them,Like woman wey dey labor.
Them de look each other with fear,With face wey serious pain full.
9 See! The day of Jehovah de come,The day no go pity person and e de come with strong vex and with vex wey de burn,To make the bad condition of the land be something wey de make people fear,And to destroy the people wey de sin for the land finish.
10 Because the stars of the heavens and their group of stars*No go shine their light;The sun go dark when e come out,And the moon no go shine im light.
11 I go call the people wey de live for the earth to answer for the bad things wey them do,And wicked people to answer for their sin.
I go make the people wey de do pass theirself to stop to raise shoulder up,And I go make people wey dey harsh, wey de think say them better pass other people to dey humble.
12 I go make ordinary man scarce pass pure gold,And make human being scarce pass gold of Oʹphir.
13 Na because of this one I go make the heavens shake,And the earth go shake comot from im positionBecause of the strong vex from Jehovah of armies for the day wey im vex go burn.
14 Like gazelle* wey de run make them no catch-am and like animals wey no get who go gather them together,Each of them go go back to im own people;Each of them go run go im own land.
15 Anybody wey them see, them go chuk-am,And anybody wey them catch, them go use sword kill-am.
16 Them go tear their children to pieces for their front,Them go pack things from their house them,And them go rape their wives.
17 See I de bring Meʹdi·a people against them,Wey no de take silver as anythingAnd wey no like gold.
18 Their bows go finish young men;Them no go show any pity for small pikinAnd them no go show mercy for children.
19 And Babylon, the kingdom wey get glory pass other kingdoms,*The city wey fine, wey de make Chal·deʹa people carry shoulder up,Go be like Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah when God destroy them.
20 Nobody go ever stay there,And for all generations, e no go ever be place wey people go stay.
No Arab person go put im tent there,And no shepherd go make im animals rest for there.
21 The desert animals go lie down for there;Eagle owls go full their house them.
Ostrich them go de live for there,And bush goats* go de jump up and down for there.
22 Animals wey de make long sounds go de cry with loud voice for inside im towers,And jackals go dey inside im fine-fine palace them.
Im time don near and im days no go long again.”
