Prepare Now-Now to Remain Neutral Before Problem Come

Prepare Now-Now to Remain Neutral Before Problem Come

“My Kingdom not part of this world.”—JOHN 18:36.

WHAT THE MAIN POINT?

We will learn why it important to prepare now-now to remain neutral before problem come, and how we can do it.

1-2. Why we mon prepare now-now to remain faithful to Jehovah before problem come?

WHEN you hear da heavy storm coming in your area, ehn you will prepare for it? For sure, you will try to get all the thing dem you need and find safe place to go before it come.

2 Da the same way we need to prepare to remain faithful to God government when problem come. Why? Because in the future, people will do all they can to force us to support their country or government. But jeh like Jesus, we can’t support any government. Because of this one, they na really suffer some of our brothers and sisters in some country dem, and they na even put them in jail. And we know da before the great tribulation start and during the great tribulation, plenty people will try hard to make us to support their government.—Matt. 24:9, 21; John 15:19.

3. Wetin we will talk about in this article?

3 In this article, we will learn how we can prepare now-now to remain neutral. We will also talk about two thing dem da can make it hard for us to be neutral: When the government forcing us to join the army, a and when they put us in jail. But first, yor let talk about why we can be sure da it possible for us to remain faithful to Jehovah even when we facing situation da can make it hard for us to be neutral.

JEHOVAH WILL HELP YOU TO REMAIN NEUTRAL

4. How the Christian dem in the apostle dem time remain faithful to Jehovah?

4 We can only support God government and we can’t support human being government. We sure da we can remain neutral because Jehovah na promise to give us the strength we need. (Isa. 41:10; 2 Cor. 4:7) Jehovah na help plenty of his servant dem to not be “part of the world.” (John 17:14) For example, the Christian dem da live during the apostle dem time refuse to put their hand in politics. They not fight in any war because they wor obeying Jesus command to not fight with the sword. (Matt. 26:52) They also refuse to worship the ruler dem in Rome. For da reason, they really treat them bad. They even kill some of them. But Jehovah give them strength to remain faithful to him.

5. How Jehovah can feel about the people dem who continue to support his Kingdom?

5 In our time, plenty of God people na also suffer because they remain neutral. b Jehovah really value this people dem who remain faithful to him, and he promise to bless them in the new world. (Ps. 18:25) Even now-now, he can bless them by showing da he happy with them.—Ps. 5:12; Rom. 5:3-5.

6. Wetin each of us mon be ready to do?

6 Jehovah will help you to remain faithful to him when people treating you bad. (1 Cor. 15:58) If you want benefit from all the help Jehovah can give us, it really important for you to prepare now-now. The elder dem and other people can also help you to know what you can do to remain faithful. But you make your own decision to remain neutral the time you give your life to Jehovah. So you mon be ready to explain your beliefs to other people, and remain faithful to Jehovah even when they treating you bad. How you can do this one?

PREPARE NOW-NOW TO BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN WHY YOU WILL NOT JOIN THE ARMY

7. Why Christian dem can’t put their hand in politics? (John 18:36)

7 Each of us get the opportunity to show da we faithful only to God government. If you know da they will tell you to join the army, make sure da you understand how Jehovah feel about human being government. Do research in our publication dem to know how Jehovah feel about human being government. (See the box “ Publication Dem Da Can Help You.”) From time to time, it will be good for you to study this article and the one da come before it. The scriptures in this article dem can help us to see da we Christians mon respect the government dem in the area we living and obey their laws. (Rom. 13:1, 7; Titus 3:1; 1 Pet. 2:13, 14, 17) But because we choose to support only God government, we can’t put our hand in politics. (Read John 18:36.) If you take your time to do research and pray to Jehovah for help, you yourself will know how to explain your beliefs good-good to the people dem who tell you to join the army. And when you doing it, you will be able to praise Jehovah who the “King forever” and his Son, Jesus who da “Lord for all the lord dem” and “King for all the king dem.”—Rev. 15:3; 17:14.

8. Why we can’t take part in any war? (John 17:16)

8 Because we Christians, we can’t join any organization da can support war and violence. The main reason why we can’t do this one, da because we can only support God government da get the right to rule over the earth. (Matt. 6:10) And we faithful to God government da why we can’t take part in politics. (Read John 17:16.) We know from the Bible da Jehovah not want anybody to fight or kill other people. Also Jesus tell us to get love for people, even people who against us. We also learn in the Bible da we mon get deep love for our brother and sister dem. If we fight war or support other people dem to fight war, you think we will be obeying this commandment dem from the Bible? (See the box “ Suppose the Government Force You to Do Work Da Civilian Can Do?”) If we do it, we will be responsible for killing our brother and sister dem!

9. Wetin else will help us to remain faithful to Jehovah when they tell us to join the army?

9 We sure da you already know Bible verse dem da show da we mon remain neutral. But you able to explain this Bible verse dem clear? (1 Pet. 3:15) Maybe the people dem in power will give you only short time to explain, or they will ask you to give more information. So it good for you to prepare for any of this situation dem. Make it clear da the thing dem you believe coming from the Bible. We can refuse to fight war because we supporting God government, and not because we scary. Jeh like the apostle Paul, be convince about the thing dem you believe, and be ready to explain them in the way da will be clear and respectful. (Acts 26:1, 28, 29) But try to not worry too much about what you will say. Remember da Jehovah will give you his spirit and the wisdom for you to know what to say about him. (Luke 21:12-15) He will also give you the strength to bear any kindna bad treatment you will face because you choose to be neutral. (1 Cor. 10:13) Another thing da will help you da for you to talk with brother or sister dem who wor able to explain their beliefs to the government when they ask them to join the army. Ask them about the problem dem they face, and how they wor able to prepare for them.—Prov. 20:18.

10. What good-good thing dem can happen when you prepare to explain why you will not join the army?

10 Also remember da when you explain your beliefs to the people dem in power, it possible da some of them who listen to you will want learn more about Jehovah Witnesses. This one na happen to some of our brother dem. But what if you try your best to explain all this thing dem and they still say they will put you in jail? Da true, this one will make you to worry. But how you can prepare now-now to remain faithful to Jehovah when they put you in jail?

PREPARE NOW-NOW FOR THE TIME THEY WILL PUT YOU IN JAIL

11. What the main thing Christians mon do when they put them in jail? (Revelation 2:10)

11 In Bible time, they put plenty of Jehovah people in jail for no reason, and da the same thing they doing in our time. (Gen. 39:20; Acts 8:3; Phil. 1:7) To prepare for this one, continue to make your friendship with Jehovah strong. Remember da when we remain faithful to Jehovah when they treating us bad, we will show da we get deep love for Jehovah and we believe da he the best ruler. (Matt. 5:10, 11; Job 2:4, 5; 1 Pet. 3:17) Also know da Jehovah want you to be faithful to him. So don’t be scary, Jehovah will help you to remain faithful.—Read Revelation 2:10.

12. Why it important now-now for us to study the Bible every day?

12 Now-now, try to get good habits and quality dem da will help you to remain faithful to Jehovah when they put you in jail. For example, try to read and study the Bible every day. One circuit overseer name Takis spend one year and the half in jail because he refuse to join the army. He say: “Before they put me in jail, I use to spend plenty time reading and studying the Bible, and I continue doing the same thing when they put me in jail.” But what if they not allow you to carry Bible in jail? Jehovah spirit will help you to remember truth dem from the Bible, his promise dem, and Bible principles da you already na learn before going to jail. Da this thing dem will make your faith strong and help you to remain faithful to Jehovah. c (John 14:26) Da the reason why it really important now-now to read and study the Bible every day.

13. How you can prepare now-now to be somebody who can make peace?

13 Sad to say, some of our brother dem who in jail can find it hard to live in peace with each other. So how we can prepare for this kindna problem? Now-now, try to get the quality dem da will help you to be somebody who can make peace. (Matt. 5:9; Rom. 12:18) For example, learn to be somebody who can be friendly with people who get different ways and who coming from different area dem. Be willing to do things to make your brother and sister dem happy so long it not go against what Jehovah want you to do. When you learn how to live in peace now-now with your brother and sister dem, it will help you to be able to do the same thing when yor in jail.

14. How plenty people can feel when they in jail, and wetin na help some of them?

14 Our brother and sister dem who in jail can feel discourage sometime. How you can prepare for this one? Now-now, learn to take interest in other people and show da you really care about them, especially your brother and sister dem. When you focus on helping other people, it will help you to feel better. When the apostle Paul wor in jail, he say: “Yor mon not do thing dem only to benefit yourself, but yor mon also do thing dem to benefit other people.” (Phil. 2:4) One elder and pioneer name Ho-Seon remember the time he wor in jail because he choose to be neutral. He say: “I use to pray for my family, my friend dem, and my brother and sister dem who wor facing different-different problem outside.” But what if other brother dem in jail with you? Takis who we talk about before tell us what help him. He say: “I really wanted to help my brother dem who wor in jail with me. And when I do it, it use to give me the strength to remain faithful to Jehovah.” How you can help your brother dem who in jail? Look for ways to encourage them and give them the help they need. When you do this one, it will help you to be more happy.

15. Why it important now-now for us to always pray to Jehovah? (James 1:5) (See the box “ When We Facing Situations and We Not Sure About What to Do.”)

15 What another thing da will help you to remain faithful to Jehovah when they put you in jail? If you know brother dem who they put in jail because they choose to be neutral, ask them what problem dem they went through, and wetin help them to overcome da problem dem. To talk the true, it not possible to know everything da will happen to you in jail. One elder who they put in jail because he decide to be neutral, say: “Some thing dem can happen in jail da you not expecting and you can’t know what to do.” He learn da the first thing to do da to pray to Jehovah right away before answering any question, making any decision or solving any problem. (Rom. 12:12; Phil. 4:6) So now-now da the best time for you to learn to always pray to Jehovah for wisdom to help you deal with any problem you will face, whether da big problem or da small one.—Read James 1:5.

16. Wetin plenty brother dem in jail wor able to do? (Also see the pictures.)

16 Remember da even when you in jail, you can still preach about Jehovah. The thing dem you can say and do can make somebody to want learn more about him. (Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 10:42; 1 Pet. 2:12) Prepare to preach in jail by doing your best now-now in the preaching work. Plenty brother dem in jail wor able to hold meeting for field service, preach to other people dem in the jail, do letter writing, auxiliary pioneer, and conduct Bible study. d In fact, some of our brother dem in jail na help the other people dem in jail and even the security dem to learn the truth. If you learn to teach the truth from the Bible now-now, it will help you to be able to teach the truth when you in jail. (Acts 17:1-4) Also, it important now-now for you to learn the good-good quality dem da Jehovah get, so da when you in jail you will continue to show this good-good quality dem. Continue to work hard now-now to be kind, humble, and show respect to everybody, even the people dem who not treat you good. If you do this one, it possible da because of your good-good quality dem some people in jail will want learn about Jehovah.—Matt. 5:16; Titus 3:1, 2.

When you in jail, continue doing thing dem da will help you to make your faith strong (See paragraph 16)

17. Why it really important for us to continue to make our friendship with Jehovah strong when we in jail? (1 Peter 1:6, 7 and the footnote)

17 Plenty of our brother and sister dem who they put in jail wor able to make their faith in Jehovah strong. So when they free them, they wor able to continue serving Jehovah. (Jas. 1:2-4; read 1 Peter 1:6, 7 and footnote.) And since da time, they been able to help plenty brother and sister dem to make their faith in Jehovah strong. But sad to say, some of our brother dem who not continue to make their friendship with Jehovah strong the time they wor in jail, stop serving him when they came from jail. When you do the thing dem we na talk about in this article, it will help you to continue to make your friendship with Jehovah strong even when you in jail.

HELP YOUR BROTHER AND SISTER DEM PREPARE TO REMAIN FAITHFUL TO JEHOVAH

18. How you can help young people to prepare for the time they will ask them to join the army?

18 Maybe you get somebody in your family or in the congregation who na make their own decision to remain faithful, but the government will soon force them to join the army. If so, then you can help the person to prepare. One father take his time during family worship to help his two sons learn how to use the Bible to explain what they believe to the people dem who in power. He also use to practice with them. He use to pretend like he one of the officer who telling them to join the army. Then his two son dem will practice what they will say to the officer. Maybe you can do the same thing for somebody in your family, or in the congregation who will need to explain their beliefs to the people dem who in power.

19. How the family can prepare if they know da one person will soon go to jail?

19 Maybe you know da somebody in your family will soon go to jail. Jeh knowing this one alone can make the whole family to worry bad way. So what will help the family to not worry too much? Yor pray together and continue to do yor family worship every week. This one will help yor to not worry too much. If somebody in your family will soon be going to jail, maybe da person will be worrying about what will happen to the family when they not there, especially if da the husband. Wetin the family can do to prepare for this one? Now-now, it good for the whole family to talk about what they will do if one of them go to jail. For example, they can talk about how the people who will leave behind will continue to study the Bible together, preach, and go to meeting. What if the family will face money problem? Now-now, they can talk about what they will do so da the family can get what they need during da time. Also, maybe the family head can talk with the elder dem for them to make arrangement to be visiting and encouraging the family all the time. If you prepare good-good now-now, you will help your family to not worry too much and they will remain faithful to Jehovah.

20. How the elders and other people in the congregation can help the people dem in jail and their family?

20 How the elder dem and other people in the congregation can help? The apostle Paul say: “Remember the people dem da in jail, jeh like you in jail with them.” (Heb. 13:3) When we visit the people dem who in jail, call them, or write letter to them, it can really encourage them. We can also carry good-good food to them and other thing dem like money da will make their life easy in jail. (Jas. 2:16; 1 John 3:17) We mon also look for ways to help the family member dem of the people dem who in jail. The elder dem mon visit them to encourage them. And also all of us can look for different-different ways to help them. And when they free our brother and sister dem from jail, they will need help to get back on their feet. For example, they will need to find work to do, or they will need help to go to meetings and start preaching again.

21. Wetin you mon fight hard to do if people force you to support the country or government?

21 The more we getting close to the end of this world, da the main time people will be forcing us to support the government dem. But this problem dem will soon end. During Armageddon, Jehovah will destroy all the government dem in this world. (Dan. 2:44) After da time, his government will rule over all the people who love him. During da time, nobody will treat anybody bad again or put them in jail. But until da time can come, let try hard to remain faithful to Jehovah and be neutral. And let continue to support God Kingdom by telling people about the good-good thing dem it will do.

SONG 38 He Will Make You Strong

a In some country dem, da only young men the government can force to join the army. But in other country dem, they can also force women to join the army.

b You can read about some of this brother and sister dem experience on jw.org under the news area, and in the Watch Tower Publications Index under the title “Neutrality,” subheading “life stories.”

c Try to learn Bible verse dem and songs da can encourage you jeh in case they not allow you to carry Bible or our publication dem in jail.

d Some of our brother dem wor in jail and they not allow them to be with other people. So they can think about people and pretend to be preaching to them. When they do this one, it can help to make their faith strong, and it can also help them to be ready to preach to people when they free them.
