U-Abrahama wafundisa indodana yakhe u-Isaka ukuba ithande uJehova futhi izethembe zonke izithembiso zikaJehova. Kodwa lapho u-Isaka eneminyaka engaba ngu-25, uJehova wacela u-Abrahama ukuba enze into okwakunzima kakhulu ukuyenza. Kwakuyini leyo nto?

UNkulunkulu wathi ku-Abrahama: ‘Ngicela uthathe indodana yakho okuwukuphela kwayo wenze ngayo umnikelo oshiswayo entabeni yaseMoriya.’ U-Abrahama wayengazi ukuthi kungani uJehova ayemcele ukuba enze leyo nto. Noma kunjalo wamlalela uJehova.

Ekuseni kakhulu ngakusasa, u-Abrahama wathatha u-Isaka nezinceku zakhe ezimbili baya eMoriya. Ngemva kwezinsuku ezintathu, baqala ukuzibona izintaba. U-Abrahama watshela izinceku zakhe ukuba zimlinde ngesikhathi yena no-Isaka besayonikela. U-Abrahama wanika u-Isaka izinkuni zokubasa, yena waphatha ummese. U-Isaka wabuza ubaba wakhe: ‘Siphi isilwane esizonikela ngaso?’ U-Abrahama waphendula: ‘Ndodana, uJehova uzosipha sona.’

Ekugcineni lapho befika entabeni bakha i-altare. U-Abrahama wabe esebopha u-Isaka izandla nezinyawo wambeka phezu kwe-altare.

U-Abrahama waphakamisa ummese. Ngaleso sikhathi, ingelosi kaJehova yamemeza isemazulwini: ‘Abrahama! Ungamlimazi umfana! Manje sengiyazi ukuthi unokholo  kuNkulunkulu ngoba ubuzimisele ukunikela ngendodana yakho.’ U-Abrahama wabe esebona inqama ibambeke ngezimpondo esihlahleni. Ngokushesha waqaqa u-Isaka wabe esenikela ngenqama.

Kusukela ngalolo suku uJehova wabiza u-Abrahama ngokuthi umngane wakhe. Uyazi ukuthi kungani? U-Abrahama wayenza noma yini uJehova athi akayenze ngisho noma engaqondi ukuthi kungani uJehova ethi akenze leyo nto.

UJehova waphinde wasisho lesi sithembiso ku-Abrahama: ‘Ngizokubusisa futhi uzoba nezingane eziningi.’ Lokhu kwakusho ukuthi uJehova uyobusisa bonke abantu abalungile ngomndeni ka-Abrahama.
