Ukuhlonipha Isipho SikaNkulunkulu Somshado

Njengoba uWilliam Nushy ayezinza esabelweni sakhe, waqaphela ukuthi abanye abamemezeli babengazisekeli izindinganiso zikaJehova zomshado. Eminye imibhangqwana yayikipitile. Abanye babelandela isiko lendawo lokungayishadi intombi ize ikhulelwe kuqala, lokho kubaqinisekise ngokuthi bayobathola abantwana uma sebeshadile.

Ngenxa yalokho, ngo-May 1953, ihhovisi legatsha labhalela ibandla ngalinye lalicacisela indinganiso yeBhayibheli ngomshado. (Gen. 2:24; Roma 13:1; Heb. 13:4) Imibhangqwana yanikwa isikhathi sokubhalisa imishado yayo. Uma ingayibhalisi, yayizosuswa ekuhlanganyeleni.1 Kor. 5:11, 13.

Iningi labamemezeli lakuthokozela lokhu kulungiswa. Kodwa abanye babengafune kuzwa. Abamemezeli abangaphezu kwesigamu emabandleni amabili bayeka ukuhlanganyela. Abahlala beqotho bandisa inkonzo yabo, okwakuwubufakazi obusobala bokuthi uJehova uyababusisa.

Ngemva komzukuzuku, iHholo LoMbuso LaseFreetown laqashelwa njengendawo efanelekayo okwakungashadelwa kuyo. Ngo-September 3, 1954, kwaba nomshado wokuqala kuleli hholo. Kamuva, uhulumeni wagunyaza abazalwane abafanelekayo ezifundeni ezingu-7 zakuleli ukuba babe abashadisi. Lokhu kwenza ukuba abantu abaningi abathakazelayo bashade ngokomthetho futhi bafanelekele ukuba abamemezeli bezindaba ezinhle.

Umshado eHholo LoMbuso

 Abaningi abathakazelayo ababesesithenjini noma bethathe isithembu nabo bathatha izinyathelo zokuzivumelanisa nezindinganiso zikaNkulunkulu. USamuel Cooper manje ohlala eBonthe, uyalandisa: “Ngo-1957 ngaqala ukuya ezifundweni nawomkami ababili futhi ngokushesha ngabhalisa eSikoleni Senkonzo Esingokwasezulwini. Ngelinye ilanga ngabelwa inkulumo ekhuluma  ngomshado wamaKristu. Lapho ngicwaninga, kwangikhanyela ukuthi kwakudingeka ngimxoshe umkami wesibili. Lapho ngitshela izihlobo zami, zonke zalwa nami. Umkami wesibili wayengizalele ingane kanti owokuqala wayeyinyumba. Kepha ngase nginqumile ukuthi ngizophila ngezimiso zemiBhalo. Okwangimangaza ukuthi lapho umkami wesibili ebuyela kubo, umkami wokuqala waqala ukuthola abantwana. Ngikhuluma nje umkami owayeyinyumba ungizalele izingane eziyisihlanu.”

Lapho nomunye umlisa othakazelayo, uHonoré Kamano, owayehlala ngaphesheya komngcele eGuinea, exosha omkakhe ababili kwabathathu, umkakhe wokuqala wakuthokozela ukumbona enza lesi sinqumo futhi waqala ukulihlonipha iqiniso. Omunye komkakhe ababili abaxosha, naye wamncoma ngokuhlonipha kwakhe izimiso zeBhayibheli. Wacela ukufundelwa, kamuva wanikezela ukuphila kwakhe kuJehova.

OFakazi BakaJehova bayaziwa ukuthi bangabantu abawuhloniphayo umshado

Kumanje nje oFakazi BakaJehova baziwa kulo lonke elaseSierra Leone naseGuinea ngokuthi bayawuhlonipha umshado. Ukwethembeka kwabo emshadweni kuhlobisa izimfundiso zikaNkulunkulu futhi kumdumise njengoMsunguli welungiselelo lomshado.Math. 19:4-6; Thithu 2:10.

Ukwahlukana EFreetown

Ngo-1956, kwafika ezinye izithunywa zevangeli ezimbili eFreetown ezaziphothule eGileyadi, uCharles noReva Chappell. Lapho besendleleni beya ekhaya lezithunywa zevangeli, bamangazwa uphawu olukhulu olwalukhangisa ngenkulumo yeBhayibheli eyayizoba seWilberforce Memorial  Hall. UCharles uthi: “Kwakubhalwe ukuthi isikhulumi uC.N.D. Jones, ummeleli ‘weSonto LoFakazi BakaJehova.’ ”

UJones, owayethi ugcotshiwe, wayehola iqembu elaliqembuke ebandleni laseFreetown eminyakeni eminingana ngaphambili. Iqembu lakhe lalithi yilona elingofakazi bakaJehova “beqiniso” futhi lithi izithunywa zevangeli nalabo ababeqotho kubameleli benhlangano “bangabakhohlisi nama-cowboy aseGileyadi.”

Isimo saba sibi nakakhulu lapho uJones nabanye babalandeli bakhe besuswa. UChappell uthi: “Lesi saziso sabashiya beshaqekile abanye abazalwane ababezibekezelela lezi zihlubuki. Abambalwa baze basho nokusho ukuthi abenelisekile ngokususwa kwazo. Bona nabanye baqhubeka bezihlanganisa nezihlubuki futhi bazama ukuphazamisa imihlangano yebandla neyenkonzo yasensimini. Ababecasukile babehlala ndawonye emihlanganweni emgqeni owagcina usubizwa ngokuthi umugqa wezihlubuki. Iningi lagcina lilishiyile iqiniso. Kepha abanye baphaphama ngokomoya futhi baba abamemezeli abashisekayo.”

Ubuqotho obaboniswa yiningi benza ukuba umoya kaNkulunkulu uqhubeke ugeleza. Lapho umbonisi wamagatsha uHarry Arnott evakashela eFreetown ngonyaka olandelayo, wabika: “Ukwanda okukhulu kokuqala lokhu esikuthole eSierra Leone ngemva kweminyaka eminingi. Kusinikeza isizathu esihle sokuhlalela ethembeni lokuthi kuseza okukhulu.”

Ukufundisa AmaKisi

Ngemva nje kokuhambela kukaMfoweth’ u-Arnott, uCharles Chappell wathola incwadi evela kumzalwane waseLiberia. Wayefuna ukuqala ukushumayeza isizwe sakubo eSierra Leone. Wayengowesizwe samaKisi, esasihlala ezintabeni nasezigodini ezinamahlathi eSierra Leone,  eLiberia naseGuinea. Kwakubonakala sengathi amaKisi amaningi ayefuna ukwazi iBhayibheli.

Njengoba iningi lawo lalingakwazi ukufunda nokubhala, kwahlelwa ukuba kube namakilasi okufunda nokubhala eKoindu ukuze afundiswe amaqiniso eBhayibheli ayisisekelo. La makilasi aheha abantu abaningi. UCharles uyakhumbula: “Ngokushesha leli qembu lase linabamemezeli abahlanu, base beba yishumi, baba yishumi nanhlanu, bagcina sebengamashumi amabili. Abantu babengena eqinisweni ngokushesha kangangokuthi ngangize ngingabaze ukuthi baqotho. Kodwa babeqotho ngempela. Iningi labo lalingeqotho nje kuphela kodwa futhi lalishiseka nokushiseka!”

Laba bamemezeli abasha abashisekayo basakaza izindaba ezinhle nangale kwedolobha laseKoindu baze bangena ezweni laseGuinea. Babehamba amabanga amade emathafeni beshumayela emapulazini nasemaphandleni. U-Eleazar Onwudiwe, owayengumbonisi wesifunda ngaleso sikhathi, uthi: “Kwakuye kuphele amasonto, ngezinye izikhathi izinyanga, singezwa msindo wemoto.”

Njengoba abafowethu nodade abangamaKisi babesakaza futhi benisela imbewu yoMbuso, uNkulunkulu wayikhulisa. (1 Kor. 3:7) Lapho enye insizwa eyimpumputhe ithola iqiniso, yabamba ngekhanda incwajana enamakhasi angu-32 ethi “Lezi Zindaba Ezilungileyo ZoMbuso.” Kamuva, yayikwazi ukuzisho ngekhanda izigaba lapho ishumayela nalapho iqhuba izifundo zayo zeBhayibheli. Babesala bemangele ababukelayo. Omunye umama oyisithulu owamukela iqiniso wenza izinguquko ezinkulu kangangokuba umkamfowabo waqala ukuya emihlanganweni, ahambe ibanga elingamakhilomitha angaphezu kweshumi.

Umsebenzi wanda ngokukhulu ukushesha esizweni samaKisi. Kwamiswa elinye ibandla, kwalandela nelinye. Abamemezeli abangaba ngu-30 baba amaphayona. Induna  yasendaweni yaseKoindu yaba nesithakazelo eqinisweni, yayisinikela ngendawo okwakuzokwakhiwa kuyo iHholo LoMbuso. Lapho kufika abantu abangaphezu kuka-500 emhlanganweni wesifunda edolobheni laseKailahun, kwamiswa elinye ibandla nalapho. Hawu, ngokuphazima nje kweso isigamu soFakazi eSierra Leone kwase kungamaKisi, yize lesi sizwe sakha amaphesenti amabili nje kuphela abantu bakuleli zwe.
