EMASONDWENI amanengi ephasini loke, njengeleRoma Khatholiki, amasondo ahlukahlukeneko wama-Orthodox, ama-Buddah namanye abizela bona abafundisi bakhona bangatjhadi. Ngakwelinye ihlangothi, abantu abanengi bakholelwa ukuthi ikambiso le ivela endleleni eyihlazo abafundisi bamasondo amanengi abaziphatha ngayo ngokwamabhayi.

Ngikho-ke kunombuzo othi, Kghani ukungatjhadi yifuneko engokweBhayibheli na nawuzakuba mKrestu? Nasizakuphendula umbuzo loyo, akhesithome ngokucabangela umsuka netuthuko yekambiso le, sizwe nombono kaZimu ngayo.

UMLANDO WEKAMBISO YOKUNGATJHADI EMASONDWENI

I-Encyclopædia Britannica ihlathulula ikambiso le ngokuthi “bujamo umuntu ongakatjhadi aba kibo njengokungayi emabhayini ngomnqopho wokuba lilunga elizinikeleko lekolo.” Ngo-2006, uPope Benedict XVI wakhuluma ne-Roman Curia ngefuneko ekatelelekileko yokungatjhadi, wayihlobanisa “nesiko lakade ebelifana nekambiso yabapostoli.”

INDLELA UZIMU AYIQALA NGAYO IKAMBISO YOKUNGATJHADI

Umbono kaZimu ngekambiso le ukhanya bha eliZwini lakhe iBhayibheli. EBhayibhelini kunala uJesu akhuluma khona ngalabo abakhetha ukuhlala bangakatjhadi njengaye “ngebanga lombuso wezulu.” (Matewu 19:12) Khona kiyo indaba leyo, umpostoli uPowula naye wakhuluma ngamaKrestu akhethe ukulandela isibonelo sakhe sokuhlala asonoro ngomnqopho ‘wevangeli,’ eliziindaba ezimnandi zomBuso kaZimu.—1 Korinte 7:37, 38; 9:23.

Nanyana kunjalo, lokho akutjho ukuthi uJesu noPowula babeka umthetho wokuthi abantu abalotjha uZimu akukafaneli batjhade. UJesu waveza ukuthi ukungatjhadi ‘kusisipho,’ kodwana ingasi kibo boke ababalandeli bakhe. UPowula nakazakutlola ngalabo abangakatjhadi, naye wakubeka kwacaca, wathi: “Anginawo umyalo obuya eKosini, kodwana ngigweba njengaloyo othembekako ngokomusa weKosi.”—Matewu 19:11; 1 Korinte 7:25.

Ngaphezu kwalokho, iBhayibheli liveza bona iinkhonzi ezinengi ebezimaKrestu ngeenkhathi zabapostoli bezitjhadile, ngitjho noPitrosi imbala. (Matewu 8:14; Markosi 1:29-31; 1 Korinte 9:5) Kuthi-ke malungana nezamabhayi ezisilapheleko ebezirhagele ngesikhathi sokubusa kwamaRoma, uPowula watlola ukuthi indoda emKrestu enqophisa ibandla nayitjhadileko bekufuze ibe ‘nomfazi munye,’ nabantwana bayo “babe nehlonipho.”—1 Thimothi 3:2, 4.

NGEBANGA LEENDABA EZIMNANDI

Nangabe-ke ikambiso le ayiveli kuZimu, kubayini uJesu noPowula bakhuluma kuhle kangaka ngokungatjhadi? Kungebanga lokuthi nawungakatjhadi ubanesikhathi esinengi sokutjhumayeza abanye ngeendaba ezimnandi begodu awuqalani neentjhijilo zalabo abatjhadileko.—1 Korinte 7:32-35.

Nasi isibonelo sakaDavid owakhetha ukulisa umsebenzakhe obhadela kuhle edorobheni leMexico. Wafudukela endaweni yemakhaya eCosta Rica ngomnqopho wokuyokufundisa abanye ngeBhayibheli. Kghani uDavid uyalemuka na ukuthi ukuba yedwa kwakhe ngikho okwamenza waphumelela kilokhu? Iye uyalemuka ngombana uthi: “Bekubudisi ukujayela indlela etja yokuphila nesiko lalapho, kodwana njengombana bengingedwa, kwaba bulula kimi ukujayela ubujamobo.”

UClaudia, umKrestu osonoro owakhamba wayokusiza eendaweni ezitlhoga abatjhumayeli uthi: “Ngimsebenzela kamnandi uZimu la. Ukukholwa kwami netjhebiswano enginalo noZimu kuyangiqinisa nangibona indlela angisororha ngayo.”
