IS THE BIBLE RELEVANT TODAY?
With all the information available in today’s high-tech world, is the Bible too old to be relevant? The Bible says:
“All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial.”—2 Timothy 3:16.
This issue of The Watchtower examines the Bible’s claim that it can guide us in every aspect of life.
With up-to-the-minute information readily available, why turn to a book that is almost 2,000 years old?
Far from being rendered obsolete by new knowledge, Bible teachings are built on values and principles that are both practical and timeless.
The Bible is not a science textbook, but it contains statements about science that may surprise you.
Consider how God’s wisdom has helped people to avoid some of life’s hardest problems.
The Bible provides wisdom to overcome even persistent and frustrating problems, such as excessive worry, procrastination, and loneliness.

God’s Word can help us deal with what is immediately before us—the day-to-day problems that we all face in this uncertain world. Yet the Bible does more. It also provides an illuminating view of the future.
Consider what some people believe and what the Bible itself teaches about this question.
