8  Καὶ And ὅταν wheneverἤνοιξεν he opened upτὴν theσφραγῖδα sealτὴν theἑβδόμην, seventh,ἐγένετο occurredσιγὴ silenceἐν inτῷ theοὐρανῷ heavenὡς asἡμίωρον. half hour. 2  καὶ And εἶδον I sawτοὺς theἑπτὰ sevenἀγγέλους angelsοἳ whoἐνώπιον in sightτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godἑστήκασιν, have stood,καὶ andἐδόθησαν were givenαὐτοῖς to themἑπτὰ sevenσάλπιγγες. trumpets. 3  Καὶ And ἄλλος otherἄγγελος angelἦλθεν cameκαὶ andἐστάθη he stoodἐπὶ uponτοῦ theθυσιαστηρίου altarἔχων (he) havingλιβανωτὸν censerχρυσοῦν, golden,καὶ andἐδόθη was givenαὐτῷ to himθυμιάματα incensesπολλὰ manyἵνα in order thatδώσει he will giveταῖς to theπροσευχαῖς prayersτῶν of theἁγίων holy (ones)πάντων allἐπὶ uponτὸ theθυσιαστήριον altarτὸ theχρυσοῦν goldenτὸ the (one)ἐνώπιον in sightτοῦ of theθρόνου. throne. 4  καὶ And ἀνέβη stepped uptheκαπνὸς smokeτῶν of theθυμιαμάτων incensesταῖς to theπροσευχαῖς prayersτῶν of theἁγίων holy (ones)ἐκ out ofχειρὸς handτοῦ of theἀγγέλου angelἐνώπιον in sightτοῦ of theθεοῦ. Absinthe.καὶ Andἐγένετο becameτὸ theτρίτον third [part]τῶν of theὑδάτων watersεἰς intoἄψινθον, absinthe,καὶ andπολλοὶ manyτῶν of theἀνθρώπων menἀπέθανον diedἐκ out ofτῶν theὑδάτων, waters,ὅτι becauseἐπικράνθησαν. they were made bitter. 12  Καὶ And theτέταρτος fourthἄγγελος angelἐσάλπισεν· trumpeted;καὶ andἐπλήγη was given blowτὸ theτρίτον third [part]τοῦ of theἡλίου sunκαὶ andτὸ theτρίτον third [part]τῆς of theσελήνης moonκαὶ andτὸ theτρίτον third [part]τῶν of theἀστέρων, stars,ἵνα in order thatσκοτισθῇ might be darkenedτὸ theτρίτον third [part]αὐτῶν of themκαὶ andtheἡμέρα dayμὴ notφάνῃ might shineτὸ theτρίτον third [part]αὐτῆς, of it,καὶ andtheνὺξ nightὁμοίως. likewise. 13  Καὶ And εἶδον, I saw,καὶ andἤκουσα I heardἑνὸς of oneἀετοῦ eagleπετομένου flyingἐν inμεσουρανήματι midheavenλέγοντος sayingφωνῇ to voiceμεγάλῃ greatΟὐαί Woeοὐαί woeοὐαὶ woeτοὺς the (ones)κατοικοῦντας dwellingἐπὶ uponτῆς theγῆς earthἐκ out ofτῶν theλοιπῶν leftoverφωνῶν voicesτῆς of theσάλπιγγος trumpetτῶν of theτριῶν threeἀγγέλων angelsτῶν the (ones)μελλόντων being aboutσαλπίζειν. to be trumpeting.
