Colossians 3:1-25

3  Εἰ If οὖν thereforeσυνηγέρθητε YOU were raised up withτῷ theχριστῷ, Christ,τὰ the (things)ἄνω upwardζητεῖτε, be YOU seeking,οὗ wheretheχριστός Christἐστιν isἐν inδεξιᾷ right [hand]τοῦ of theθεοῦ Godκαθήμενος· sitting; 2  τὰ the (things) ἄνω upwardφρονεῖτε, be YOU minding,μὴ notτὰ the (things)ἐπὶ uponτῆς theγῆς, earth, 3  ἀπεθάνετε YOU died γάρ, for,καὶ andtheζωὴ lifeὑμῶν of YOUκέκρυπται has been hiddenσὺν together withτῷ theχριστῷ Christἐν inτῷ theθεῷ· God; 4  ὅταν whenever theχριστὸς Christφανερωθῇ, should be made manifest,theζωὴ lifeἡμῶν of usτότε thenκαὶ alsoὑμεῖς YOUσὺν together withαὐτῷ himφανερωθήσεσθε will be made manifestἐν inδόξῃ. glory. 5  Νεκρώσατε Deaden YOU οὖν thereforeτὰ theμέλη membersτὰ theἐπὶ uponτῆς theγῆς, earth,πορνείαν, fornication,ἀκαθαρσίαν, uncleanness,πάθος, passion,ἐπιθυμίαν desireκακήν, bad,καὶ andτὴν theπλεονεξίαν covetousnessἥτις whichἐστὶν isεἰδωλολατρία, idolatry, 6  δι’ through which (things)ἔρχεται is comingtheὀργὴ wrathτοῦ of theθεοῦ· God; 7  ἐν in οἷς which (things)καὶ alsoὑμεῖς YOUπεριεπατήσατέ walkedποτε sometimeὅτε whenἐζῆτε YOU were livingἐν inτούτοις· these (things); 8  νυνὶ now δὲ butἀπόθεσθε put YOU awayκαὶ alsoὑμεῖς YOUτὰ theπάντα, all (things),ὀργήν, wrath,θυμόν, anger,κακίαν, badness,βλασφημίαν, blasphemy,αἰσχρολογίαν disgraceful talkἐκ out ofτοῦ theστόματος mouthὑμῶν· of YOU; 9  μὴ not ψεύδεσθε be YOU lyingεἰς intoἀλλήλους· one another;ἀπεκδυσάμενοι having stripped offτὸν theπαλαιὸν oldἄνθρωπον manσὺν together withταῖς theπράξεσιν actsαὐτοῦ, of him, 10  καὶ and ἐνδυσάμενοι having put onτὸν theνέον newτὸν the (one)ἀνακαινούμενον being made new againεἰς intoἐπίγνωσιν accurate knowledgeκατ’ according toεἰκόνα imageτοῦ of the (one)κτίσαντος having createdαὐτόν, him, 11  ὅπου where οὐκ notἔνι there isἝλλην Greekκαὶ andἸουδαῖος, Jew,περιτομὴ circumcisionκαὶ andἀκροβυστία, uncircumcision,βάρβαρος, barbarian,Σκύθης, Scythian,δοῦλος, slave,ἐλεύθερος, freeman,ἀλλὰ butπάντα all (things)καὶ andἐν inπᾶσιν allΧριστός. Christ. 12  ᾿Ενδύσασθε Put YOU on selves οὖν thereforeὡς asἐκλεκτοὶ chosen (ones)τοῦ of theθεοῦ, God,ἅγιοι holy (ones)καὶ andἠγαπημένοι, having been loved,σπλάγχνα bowelsοἰκτιρμοῦ, of compassion,χρηστότητα, kindness,ταπεινοφροσύνην, lowliness of mind,πραΰτητα, mildness,μακροθυμίαν, longness of spirit, 13  ἀνεχόμενοι having selves up ἀλλήλων of one anotherκαὶ andχαριζόμενοι graciously forgivingἑαυτοῖς to selvesἐάν if everτις anyoneπρός towardτινα someoneἔχῃ may haveμομφήν· complaint;καθὼς according asκαὶ alsotheκύριος Lordἐχαρίσατο graciously forgaveὑμῖν to YOUοὕτως thusκαὶ alsoὑμεῖς· YOU; 14  ἐπὶ upon πᾶσι allδὲ butτούτοις these (things)τὴν theἀγάπην, love,whichἐστιν isσύνδεσμος joint bondτῆς of theτελειότητος. perfection. 15  καὶ And theεἰρήνη peaceτοῦ of theχριστοῦ Christβραβευέτω let be acting as umpireἐν inταῖς theκαρδίαις heartsὑμῶν, of YOU,εἰς intoἣν whichκαὶ alsoἐκλήθητε YOU were calledἐν inἑνὶ oneσώματι· body;καὶ andεὐχάριστοι thankfulγίνεσθε. be YOU becoming. 16  The λόγος wordτοῦ of theχριστοῦ Christἐνοικείτω let be indwellingἐν inὑμῖν YOUπλουσίως richlyἐν inπάσῃ allσοφίᾳ· wisdom;διδάσκοντες (ones) teachingκαὶ andνουθετοῦντες putting mind inἑαυτοὺς selvesψαλμοῖς, to psalms,ὕμνοις, to hymns,ᾠδαῖς to songsπνευματικαῖς spiritualἐν inχάριτι, graciousness,ᾄδοντες singingἐν inταῖς theκαρδίαις heartsὑμῶν of YOUτῷ to theθεῷ· God; 17  καὶ and πᾶν everyὅτι which thingἐὰν if everποιῆτε YOU may be doingἐν inλόγῳ wordorἐν inἔργῳ, work,πάντα all (things)ἐν inὀνόματι nameκυρίου of LordἸησοῦ, Jesus,εὐχαριστοῦντες giving thanksτῷ to theθεῷ Godπατρὶ Fatherδι’ throughαὐτοῦ. him. 18  Αἱ The γυναῖκες, women,ὑποτάσσεσθε be YOU subjecting selvesτοῖς to theἀνδράσιν, male persons,ὡς asἀνῆκεν it was becomingἐν inκυρίῳ. Lord. 19  Οἱ The ἄνδρες, male persons,ἀγαπᾶτε be YOU lovingτὰς theγυναῖκας womenκαὶ andμὴ notπικραίνεσθε be YOU embittering selvesπρὸς towardαὐτάς. them. 20  Τὰ The τέκνα, children,ὑπακούετε be YOU obeyingτοῖς to theγονεῦσιν parentsκατὰ according toπάντα, all (things),τοῦτο thisγὰρ forεὐάρεστόν well-pleasingἐστιν isἐν inκυρίῳ. Lord. 21  Οἱ The πατέρες, fathers,μὴ notἐρεθίζετε be YOU excitingτὰ theτέκνα childrenὑμῶν, of YOU,ἵνα in order thatμὴ notἀθυμῶσιν. they may become dispirited. 22  Οἱ The δοῦλοι, slaves,ὑπακούετε be YOU obeyingκατὰ according toπάντα all (things)τοῖς to theκατὰ according toσάρκα fleshκυρίοις, to lords,μὴ notἐν inὀφθαλμοδουλίαις, eye-slaveries,ὡς asἀνθρωπάρεσκοι, men pleasers,ἀλλ’ butἐν inἁπλότητι simplicityκαρδίας, of heart,φοβούμενοι fearingτὸν theκύριον. Lord. 23  Which ἐὰν if everποιῆτε, YOU may be doing,ἐκ out ofψυχῆς soulἐργάζεσθε, be YOU working,ὡς asτῷ to theκυρίῳ Lordκαὶ andοὐκ notἀνθρώποις, to men, 24  εἰδότες having known ὅτι thatἀπὸ fromκυρίου Lordἀπολήμψεσθε YOU will receive backτὴν theἀνταπόδοσιν gift back in exchangeτῆς of theκληρονομίας· inheritance;τῷ to theκυρίῳ LordΧριστῷ Christδουλεύετε· be YOU slaving; 25  the (one) γὰρ forἀδικῶν doing unrighteously,κομίσεται will carry off for selfwhichἠδίκησεν, he did unrighteously,καὶ andοὐκ notἔστιν isπροσωπολημψία. receiving of face.
