Jerusalem. 13  τότε Then ἀπεκρίθη answeredtheΠαῦλος PaulΤί Whatποιεῖτε are YOU doingκλαίοντες weepingκαὶ andσυνθρύπτοντές crushing togetherμου of meτὴν theκαρδίαν; heart?ἐγὼ Iγὰρ forοὐ notμόνον onlyδεθῆναι to be boundἀλλὰ butκαὶ alsoἀποθανεῖν to dieεἰς intoἸερουσαλὴμ Jerusalemἑτοίμως readilyἔχω I am havingὑπὲρ overτοῦ theὀνόματος nameτοῦ of theκυρίου LordἸησοῦ. Paul. 30  ἐκινήθη Was set in motion τε andtheπόλις cityὅλη wholeκαὶ andἐγένετο occurredσυνδρομὴ running togetherτοῦ of theλαοῦ, people,καὶ andἐπιλαβόμενοι having laid holdτοῦ of theΠαύλου Paulεἷλκον they were draggingαὐτὸν himἔξω outsideτοῦ of theἱεροῦ, temple,καὶ andεὐθέως immediatelyἐκλείσθησαν were closedαἱ theθύραι. doors. 31  Ζητούντων Of (ones) seeking τε andαὐτὸν himἀποκτεῖναι to killἀνέβη stepped upφάσις showingτῷ to theχιλιάρχῳ chiliarchτῆς of theσπείρης bandὅτι thatὅλη wholeσυνχύννεται is being confusedἸερουσαλήμ, Jerusalem, 32  ὃς who ἐξαυτῆς out of very [hour]παραλαβὼν having taken alongστρατιώτας soldiersκαὶ andἑκατοντάρχας centurionsκατέδραμεν he ran downἐπ’ uponαὐτούς, them,οἱ the (ones)δὲ butἰδόντες having seenτὸν theχιλίαρχον chiliarchκαὶ andτοὺς theστρατιώτας soldiersἐπαύσαντο they ceasedτύπτοντες beatingτὸν theΠαῦλον.
