Video on Demand lets you watch tv.jw.org videos anytime. Pause, rewind, or fast forward. Watch just one video or all the videos in a collection. Click or press the Video on Demand button to see the available video categories. Follow the steps below to find and watch videos:
Find and Play a Video
When you first select Video on Demand, the video categories display. Each category is represented by an image and the category title. Some videos can be found in multiple categories. For example, the video The Prodigal Returns may be found in Movies, Family, and Teenagers.
Scroll down to see all the categories.
Click or press a category image or title to select a category. The banner image at the top of the screen shows the category title and description. Below the banner image are the video collections within the category.
Computer or tablet: Click or press the Left Arrow or Right Arrow to see more videos in a collection.
Smartphone: The first video in each collection is displayed. To show more videos in a collection, press See More.
Click or press a video image or title to select a video. The banner image at the top of the screen displays the video title, description, and duration.
Click or press the Play button to play the video. (Note: On iOS and Android mobile devices you also need to press the Play icon once the video player loads.)
Click or press the Download button to save the video to your computer or mobile device. (Note: Some mobile devices may require an additional application to download files.) Click or press the desired resolution of the video you wish to download.
If you have previously watched part of the video, click or press the Resume button to continue playing from the current location. Click or press the Play From Beginning button to play the video from the beginning.
Tip: Instead of playing a single video at a time, you can click or press the Play All button next to the collection title to play all the videos in that collection.
Note: Playback will stop when all the videos in the collection have been played.
In Play All mode, click or press Skip Back to go back to the previous video in the collection.
In Play All mode, click or press Skip Forward to go to the next video in the collection.
Control Video Playback
In the Video on Demand section, you can control video playback as follows:
Computer: To switch to full-screen mode, move the mouse over the video and then click the Full-Screen icon.
Tablet or smartphone: To switch to full-screen mode, tap the video and then press the Full-Screen icon.
Computer: To exit full-screen mode, press the Escape key, or move the mouse over the video and then click the Regular-Mode icon.
iOS: To exit full-screen mode, tap the video and then press the Regular-Mode icon.
Android: To exit full-screen mode, tap the video and then press the Regular-Mode icon. Some older Android devices play videos in full-screen mode only.
Windows Mobile: To exit full-screen mode, press the Back button on your device.
Click or press Pause to pause the video.
Click or press Play to resume.
To move to a different place in the video, drag the location indicator forward or backward.
Computer: To change the resolution of the video currently playing, move the mouse over the video, then over the Video Settings icon, and select the desired resolution. (Note: This feature is not supported in all browsers.)
Note: A higher number represents higher video quality, which requires a faster internet connection. Choose the one that works best for your internet speed and screen size. (For more details, see Change Settings for Your Computer, Tablet, or Smartphone.)
Tablet or smartphone: To change the video resolution, tap the video, press Video Settings, then select the desired resolution from the list. (Note: This option is not available on all mobile video players.)
Computer: To change the volume, move the mouse cursor over the video, then over the Volume icon. Slide the volume indicator up or down to increase or decrease the volume.
Tablet or smartphone: To change the volume, use the audio button on your mobile device.
