  • Significant storm surges in coastal areas and powerful winds caused property damage and widespread power outages

Effect on our brothers and sisters

  • 1 publisher suffered a minor injury

  • 291 homes and 14 Kingdom Halls sustained minor damage

  • 8 homes and 3 Kingdom Halls sustained major damage

Relief efforts

  • Local elders and circuit overseers are providing shepherding and necessary relief to our impacted brothers and sisters. The same Disaster Relief Committees appointed to care for relief efforts related to COVID-19 and Hurricane Laura in the area are also supporting those impacted by Hurricane Zeta while observing all appropriate COVID-19 safety precautions.

We are saddened to hear that this storm has adversely affected our brothers and sisters. But once again, Jehovah’s loyal love for his worshippers is displayed by the relief work of our brotherhood.—Psalm 89:1.
