Read Numbers 13:25–14:4 to see how the Israelites lacked trust in Jehovah.

Analyze the context. Why should the Israelites have had confidence in Jehovah’s ability to save them as they left Egypt? (Ps. 78:12-16, 43-53) What led to their losing trust in Jehovah? (Deut. 1:26-28) What kind of trust in Jehovah did Joshua and Caleb manifest?​—Num. 14:6-9.
