Acts 9:1-43

9  Theδὲ butΣαῦλος, Saul,ἔτι yetἐνπνέων breathing inἀπειλῆς of threatκαὶ andφόνου of murderεἰς intoτοὺς theμαθητὰς disciplesτοῦ of theκυρίου, Lord,προσελθὼν having come towardτῷ to theἀρχιερεῖ chief priest 2  ᾐτήσατο he askedπαρ’ besideαὐτοῦ of himἐπιστολὰς lettersεἰς intoΔαμασκὸν Damascusπρὸς towardτὰς theσυναγωγάς, synagogues,ὅπως so thatἐάν if everτινας anyεὕρῃ he might findτῆς of theὁδοῦ wayὄντας, being,ἄνδρας male personsτε andκαὶ andγυναῖκας, women,δεδεμένους having been boundἀγάγῃ he might leadεἰς intoἸερουσαλήμ. Dorcas. 40  ἐκβαλὼν Having thrust outδὲ butἔξω outsideπάντας all (them)theΠέτρος Peterκαὶ andθεὶς having placedτὰ theγόνατα kneesπροσηύξατο, he prayed,καὶ andἐπιστρέψας having turnedπρὸς towardτὸ theσῶμα bodyεἶπεν he saidΤαβειθά, Tabitha,ἀνάστηθι. stand up.The (one)δὲ butἤνοιξεν opened upτοὺς theὀφθαλμοὺς eyesαὐτῆς, of her,καὶ andἰδοῦσα having seenτὸν theΠέτρον Peterἀνεκάθισεν. she sat up. 41  δοὺς Having givenδὲ butαὐτῇ to herχεῖρα handἀνέστησεν he made stand upαὐτήν, her,φωνήσας having sounded forδὲ butτοὺς theἁγίους holy (ones)καὶ andτὰς theχήρας widowsπαρέστησεν he presentedαὐτὴν herζῶσαν. living. 42  γνωστὸν Knownδὲ butἐγένετο it becameκαθ’ downὅλης wholeἸόππης, Joppa,καὶ andἐπίστευσαν believedπολλοὶ manyἐπὶ uponτὸν theκύριον.
