Lookup: Search for

Conventions

Each year conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses are held worldwide. A few months before the conventions are held in each region, a list of the upcoming conventions is made available on jw.org.

Entering Search Information

Use the Conventions option to search for future conventions to be held in a specific location. In the Enter Search Information section, enter what you know about the convention you wish to locate.

If you enter only the first date, all conventions that end on or after the specified date will be included in the results. If you enter only the second date, all conventions that begin on or before the specified date will be displayed.

Click the Search button to display the results. Clicking the Clear button restores the search fields to their initial values so you can enter different search criteria.

Viewing Results

By default, the search results display in date order. If you prefer a different sort order, you can choose one from the Sort by dropdown (for example, language, location, or convention name).

Initially the search results may display in summary form (convention, date, language, location) or a more expanded form, depending on the way you last viewed the convention list.

If the results are in summary form and you want to see details for all the conventions, click Expand All Details. If you want to see details for just one convention, click the symbol to the left of the convention name. To hide the details of a convention, click the symbol to the left of the convention name. To hide the details of all conventions, click Collapse All Details.

To assist you, convention locations may at times display in both the local language of the convention location as well as a transliterated version. In cases where multiple language sessions are held at one large venue, additional instructions may also be shown.

Most conventions have all the talks delivered in the principal language shown in the Language column. A note displays beneath the language name if the talks will be delivered in another language but then be translated into the language that is shown. In cases where only a few selected talks are available in a particular language, this too is indicated under the language name.

In most cases, convention sessions begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. and end between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. each day. However, this may vary for particular conventions or regions. For this reason, it is best to inquire from the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses (in the case of a convention held in your country) or from the local branch office of Jehovah’s Witnesses (in the case of a convention in another country) to determine the exact session times.
